A long-​overdue review for Mr. David Breaux! I have worked with David on a couple of transactions now, and he has exceeded my expectations at every turn. I am a self-​employed small business owner, and thus, did not fit neatly within the lending guidelines of the national banks. Those banks only approved me for half of the loan amount I needed, even though my income and savings well exceeded what I needed to qualify… IF I were not self-​employed.
I was referred by my realtor to David and Borel, in the hope that they would look past the bigger banks’ «standard guidelines» and work with me to understand my business, income, and what I could reasonably afford. David spent the time with me to really understand what my business does, how we do it, profitability, risks, the whole nine yards. Using that information, he was able to go to bat for me with the approval committee at Borel and get me approved for the mortgage I needed!
From a communication standpoint, you won’t meet anyone more responsive, professional, and thorough than David. He was always very flexible in working with my schedule, both from a time and location perspective; we have met in mornings and evenings, in the Los Altos, Palo Alto and San Mateo bank branches, whichever was more convenient for me.
Given how difficult and time-​consuming the mortgage process can be, it really helps to have someone outstanding on your team. I wholeheartedly recommend David Breaux, and look forward to working with him again in the future.

In this competitive market in SF Bay Area, it is a huge deal to buy a new house.
In 2010, my husband and I experienced difficulties to get the house because of some very aggressive bidders when we were looking for a house in Bay Area. David even prepared sandwiches and sweets and displayed nicely on the table since we visited his office during our lunch break. We thought ‘OMG, it is totally different experience from the banks we’ve worked so far’
David trusted and comforted us by providing the pre-​approval of jumbo loan with the lien of our previous house. Therefore, we were able to bid our new house without worry and to close the deal.
