EmpowerFIT Boot Camp

I LOVE Empowerfit Bootcamp! I bought the Unilocal deal since it was inexpensive and if I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t feel so bad. I generally get gym memberships and go for the first two weeks and then stop. I never know what to do or what exercises are effective. I’m also too cheap to pay for the personal trainers. So I figured maybe a Bootcamp might work for me so I found EmpowerFIT. My first class was rough and showed me exactly how out of shape I was. But I stuck with it and started feeling so much better. I’ve started getting muscles again and the exercises are always different and fun! I go to the 6:30am class and everyone gets along really well! Larissa teaches mon-​thurs and she is awesome! I love her classes and she’s always such a joy to be around (which is important when you are working out that early)! Janel coaches on Fridays and is just a sweet! I’d highly recommend this class to anyone contemplating it!!!

Larissa in Palo Alto is a great coach and keeps the workouts fun and engaging. I’ve been going for over a year and never imagined that I’d be getting up for a 6:30 class on a regular basis. It’s a great way to kick start the day. The workout is challenging, but not insane. There’s a great vibe with lots of positive energy for encouragement.

Awesome workout. It’s not easy, but it’s not supposed to be! I’ve never been able to stick to a program as long as I have with these classes. Kelly and her coaches are knowledgeable and give just the right amount of push. The location and times are perfect for my schedule. I highly recommend!

I have been going to Empowerfit for over a year now. I have to say it can be difficult to get up that early in the morning but I never regret going once I’m there. The coaches are awesome, the workouts are challenging but they are good at incorporating moves for all fitness levels. I definitely do stuff that I would never do on my own, and that’s what I love about it!

This bootcamp was good for awhile, but I stopped going because it got boring at some point when there was an org change awhile back. There were great coaches, and then suddenly, they weren’t there. Not sure what happened, but it wasn’t fun anymore, so I quit. The search for a good routine continues…

EmpowerFIT used to be awesome. Seriously, the best boot camp around.
But then… I’m not sure what happened… but they suddenly fired their best coaches and stripped the classes of all fun and camaraderie… thereby sapping the fun and motivation.

This seems to be the most successful way for me to make fitness a regular part of my life. Yes, it’s hard to get up in the morning but feeling super accomplished and virtuous by 6:30 AM makes it worth it. Coaches are nice but not so cheerful that you hate them for being happier than you are pre-​dawn. More importantly, they know their stuff and push me and keep me accountable. No one will tell you to drop deeper in your squat or switch to heavier weights if you work out by yourself! One star off because it’s expensive, but worth it to me!

I joined EmpowerFit the very first day that I moved down to California (Summer 2011) and I have been a member ever since. I absolutely LOVE it. The coaches are great and really push you and challenge you. This is a great workout in the early mornings– it gets you up and I always have so much more energy after bootcamp. I definitely highly recommend this for anyone who likes to stay fit, lose weight, or just tone up.

I LOVE bootcamp! The bootcamp meets M-​F (you can choose 3,4 or 5-​days/​week) at Palo Alto highschool at 5:30am and 6:30am. 6:30am is coed, 5:30 is women only. The current coach is Tiffany M-​TH and Genevieve on Fridays. They are awesome.
This is the best workout I’ve ever had and, besides playing sports and doing ballet in highschool, this is the best shape I’ve ever been in. The workouts are very varied with no workout ever repeated. The coaches are great: very knowledgable, fun, entertaining and encouraging. The other participants are also wonderful. There is a great group of women who support each other and really are the reason I keep coming back again and again. It’s like personal training, but much less expensive and without some person sitting there staring at you. The coaches correct form and lend guidance and the other bootcampers provide «peer pressure» to keep you working hard. When I say peer pressure I mean it in only the best of ways because it’s so motivating to see others pushing themselves so you do the same. I can never go back to a gym! I highly recommend this bootcamp.
