My mother, who has dementia and mobility issues, has lived in all levels of care at Palo Alto Commons, and has lived in several other facilities in three different counties. PAC is, hands down, the best facility. My impression, from all the staff members I have met, is that they all enjoy their jobs and truly care about the residents. She is well cared-​for and PAC keeps us well-​informed. Yes, issues have arisen during the 7 or so years she has lived there, but they have always been resolved to our satisfaction. I have great peace of mind knowing she is there.

I have toured this facility and met many people who live here over several years.

Both the residents and their families have consistently had positive things to say about their residency at the Palo Alto Commons.
They are locally owned, have long term staff, seem to be compassionate in relation to their clients, and more.
You would be lucky to make this place home, or be comforted to know your family member or friend would be well cared for here.

I was looking for a place for my mom… so I walked in to get a business card. The lady at the front desk (an indian lady) she was so rude! She said we. don’t give business cards here which were right in front of her. I said, well can I talk to your boss, she said that the boss was out on vacation… I felt really bad… never bring your loved one here! They treat you like shit… Just because I’m not too well dressed doesn’t mean you should treat me like that! You missed my business. Sorry!

Just moved a client in here from a rehab facility and the rooms are really nice. He’s on the bottom floor and has a nice little patio in back with plants and sun. Patti Alvarez, a hostess in the dining area was very accommodating. I would like to see them have some healthier food options and a real salad bar could promote healthier eating.

Palo Alto Commons is without a doubt the best assisted living and dimentia care provider on the Peninsula, if not throughout California. The staffs dedication to the residents their is endless. If your looking for this type of facility for a loved one this community should be at the top of your list.
