Recommended without reservations. Larry created a new bridge for my son’s violin within a couple of hours of our bringing in the violin, on the same day that I called him. He also adjusted the sound board.

Larry REALLY knows what he is doing with violins!(and violas and cellos…) I am a violin teacher and I send my students to Larry because they will always get high quality violins and repairs from him! Larry made my first full-sized violin for me back in 1996, and I am using it to this day! I just went back last month to get a «tune up»(new bridge, cleaned up fingerboard, varnish repairs, and a couple other small things) and as always, it was a reasonable price for the high quality of work that Larry does. It sounds beautiful and is really standing the test of time. Larry is also very generous and helpful — I send my students to him when they need help mid-week replacing a string(and I can’t do it for them)… In short, go to Palo Alto violins! Larry is an expert, a real character, and an ally in your violin/viola/cello journey!

Larry has been working with stringed instruments for over 30 years, and has repaired over 26,000 violins in that time in addition to thousands of other four-stringed instruments. Suffice to say that your little wooden child is in good hands with Larry. He let me(and my dog) watch as he adjusted my son’s violin. His new shop is a few blocks from his former Cal Ave location, a much quieter location but still convenient to the El Camino/Page Mill corridors. Prices are incredibly reasonable. If you have a violin/viola/cello/bass that needs some TLC, PA Violins is your go-to place.

Larry is a master at his craft. He has repaired two violins for me and they sound better than ever. We are lucky to have his expertise in Palo Alto.
