Watch out for those big gulp margaritas! The first one will pick you up & tell you you’re fine. The second will rudely plop you down on your bottom & laugh in your face. And they are delicious. I had 1 traditional and 1 jalapeño. I also ate. Guacamole with tri-color tortilla chips, veggie tacos, and street corn. Everything was really good, but the corn was a cut above– generously drizzled with crema. You just have to get your face in it. For dessert we shared the plantain upside down cake with ice cream. Really really good. Reposado is great for vegetarians and carnivores alike. Great service and it was easy to get a reservation. Plus and PLUS.

Was invited here to celebrate a friends birthday recently and I must say it was a good experience. The restaurant itself is very nice and the atmosphere is welcoming. To start, I ordered a mango mojito(which I was on the fence about because usually in my experience, flavored drinks are syrupy, but I decided to give it a try anyway). My mojito tasted like juice, but it definitely was a sneaky drink. A quarter way into my second drink, I was definitely feeling tipsy. The second mojito I had was the original one and this was super good and I would recommend over the mango one. For dinner, I ordered the small taco place, which includes 4 tacos(all different meats, 1 fish) and sauces that complement each taco. The tacos were tasty, but very small and not worth $ 17. I was still hungry, so I ordered the two tamales to get full. The tamales came with 1 chicken and 1 chili/cheese. Same as the tacos, they were small, but yummy. The birthday girl got a dessert on the house and ordered an extra one one as well for us all to share. She ordered the upside down banana cake and the tres leches cake. I’m not a fan of tres leches cake, but the upside down banana cake — OMG, possible one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. I would recommend this dessert to anyone and possibly come back for this reason alone. Overall our service was great, the food/drinks were good, but it is a bit pricey for the portions they serve.

I walked by the restaurant one day when I was in palo alto and thought it was too cute not to come back. I made a reservation with friends for dinner. the guacamole and the calamari were amazing. we also had the queso, which was so so. on a recent trip back, I had the tamalitos and the shrimp empanadas. both were just ok and I would probably not order them again. 3 stars for the small plates and drinks as well as the ambience, but the entrees are just ok.

I’ve walked by this place many many times and have always been curious. It has always been a little more crowded than desired and I had heard that service can be slow(for the record, upon visiting this was not a noticeable issue), so as one who gets hungry and then proceeds to starving very quickly, I stayed away. But I’m glad I finally tried! This place can be described as fancy Mexican. It’s definitely not your typical burrito or quesadilla with nachos. It’s a large space with plenty of seating and dim lighting and an upscale feel. We started with the guacamole. My boyfriend had been talking about this guacamole for months at this point. So naturally, while there were plenty of other appealing appetizer options, we went for the guacamole. The guacamole was indeed delicious, but it was nothing special. If i came back, I think I would try another appetizer. The three salsas that the complimentary chips come with were actually pretty tasty on their own! As for the entrees, I got the seafood crêpe, which was very yummy. When it came to the table, it did not quite match the image I had in my head from the description on the menu. Instead of the flat crepes I envisioned, it looked like two enchiladas covered in green chile sauce. It came with a small side of jasmine rice with cilantro and corn. This dish was delicious! The sauce was rich and creamy and the filling inside the crêpe was very tasty. I only wish I had more — especially the side rice, which was also very tasty! My boyfriend got the short rib dish, which we also enjoyed. The short ribs were tender and melted in the mouth and was boneless(the best part). The potatoes and sauce were a great compliment. The prices are a little steep for the portion you get, but all in all, this was a great dining experience.

I came here for a family dinner, celebrating four of our birthdays. I’m surprised this place isn’t rated higher. The food was not only delicious but the service was wonderful. We had the chance to try multiple small plates. The empanadas, ceviche, fondu, and the yellow tuna. My favorite by far was the ceviche(with octopus and shrimp). The fondu was a close second though… I also shared the lobster and seafood rice with my partner. OMG so much awesomeness in one plate. It was a little heavy and I wish there was something to break up the richness– maybe some lemon? We ordered a Pinot noir from New Zealand that was beautifully paired with all of our food. I’ve heard a lot of great things about the scallops, but didn’t have the chance of ordering it. Definitely next time.

TL;DR — Surprisingly good dishes! I’ve only been one for drinks with friends and recently, had the chance to dine here. We ordered the ceviche de hamachi, puerco en bohemia mole de olla and the crepas con mariscos. The ceviche was good, I’m not a huuuuuge fan of hamachi, but it was pretty tasty. Normally, I’m not a seafood kinda girl, but WOW the seafood dish was amazing. The textures contrast each other well and the crab flavor really shines through(which is rare because sometimes, crab gets lost in the mix of flavors). The mole dish was tasty but there were a couple too many fatty pieces in the small(ish) dish. Dessert, wow. The banana bread with sea salt caramel ice cream. YUUUUM. The bread was toasty and warm and the ice cream was rich but light. Definitely worth a try!
