This store is a joke! Chocolate is not a priority here; may be just a decoration. This spot may be great for a luxury SPA and related consumables such as oils, soaps etc… It smells perfumeish from the SPA consumables and not cacao. Chocolate varieties represent 5% of what they sell(I simply could not spot them inside and the selection was very very very poor). It’s better if this store is not listed under«Chocolatiers & Shops».

My review for The Little Chocolate House is long overdue! This summer, my team hosted an event in San Francisco, with many folks coming from very far away to be there. My boss thought it’d be nice to have some treats waiting for the team members in their hotel rooms when they arrived. She was thinking of including Ghirardelli chocolates, but I wanted something more local than that(Ghirardelli is tasty, but you can get that anywhere!), so I set to Unilocaling. It turns out that getting small batch, artisanal chocolates around Palo Alto is REALLY expensive, and with the amount of people I was purchasing for, I would’ve blown through my budget on just chocolates alone. And then I came across The Little Chocolate House! Gorgeous chocolates, local, and classy presentation, while being reasonably priced. If I recall correctly, I believe a box of 9 truffles was less than $ 15, and a little box of 2 chocolate hearts was less than $ 5. The box of 2 was perfect — however, I wanted truffles instead of chocolate hearts, so I sent an email to the owner, Nisha, to inquire. She called me within the hour and told me that she could. I also asked if it was possible to have my order, which might be large’ish for a small business, ready in three days, and she also said yes, and told me that they’d be ready for pick at The Watercourse Way Spa on that date by a certain time. I picked up my chocolates without a hitch! Coincidentally, just prior to pickup, I had found out that The Watercourse Way Spa also happens to be a favorite spa of a couple of my favorite folks, so while I was there, I picked up a couple spa gift certificates. I also felt very tempted to get some spa treats for myself from the spa’s amazing gift shop, but refrained. I’ll treat myself another day! The truffles were super cutely wrapped up for me. As for as the actual truffles themselves — delicious. They were just the right size to enjoy(it’s not one of those giant $ 5 truffles), they were not too sweet, and the texture was lovely. A couple days after pickup, Nisha emailed me to follow up on how the chocolates were. Super friendly and great customer service. Thanks, Nisha! I’ll definitely be getting her chocolates again :)

The owner left a comment stating she was only a half hour late on the chocolates — no, you were an hour late AND I never received them. I was issued a refund. On top of that, I did NOT receive any chocolates from the spa — I left empty handed. Please do NOT try to justify your mistake and make the situation sound better than it is because it is not. It’s even worst now because the comment below was filled with lies.

Strange they sell their chocolates in a spa. Did not try it rather go to a proper chocolate place like Timothy.

I asked the owner to make chocolate truffles with a hint of mint for my wife’s birthday. 48 hrs later and this is how my wife responded regarding the truffles: The answer is that I LOVED them. They were so scrumptious I probably could have eaten all 45 truffles by myself, but considering that I still need my clothes to fit(:o)) I shared them with family and friends. Everyone has been delighted by them. Thank you for helping to make this a birthday all of us will always remember! Please give this place try for any appropriate occasion!

The Little Chocolate House makes an interesting variety of specialty chocolates that taste great. Unlike other chocolates, these chocolates are not sugary or infused with artificial flavors. You can really taste pure high quality chocolate that was made from scratch from good ingredients. There are some really interesting options, too – some are spicy and others have sumptuous nuts. I’ve had the good fortune of getting to know the owners personally and they are great people who care about health and the environment. Great people and a great business!

You will not find a better chocolate! Nisha sources the best organic cocoa, has a special recipe, and makes small batches all by hand! They are simply delicious and you can find no other like them.

Was looking for a unique Palo Alto gift for my mother. Found these chocolates and shipped them to her as a present. They were great! Just the right quantity so as not to be overwhelming but high enough quality that they are worth the indulgence. Amazing variety of flavors and tastes. Definitely a treat I’ll gift to others to give a taste of local flavor.

European style chocolate. They’re not too sweet and zero junk inside. no preservatives or artificial ingredients. They’re more cocoa. about 70%, so it is chocolatey but not too rich or dark tasting. They are not dry either. The cocoa nibs covered truffle is my fav one because it’s crunchy… but all the flavours are unique. I paid a little bit more than regular chocolates but these are real food and fresh. I recommend these truffles highly, try and see. I have used them as a gifts which gets people excited. Sometimes they do sell out but are usual back within a day or two at the Spa.
