I felt a little hesitant to come in here after reading some bad Unilocal reviews about customer service, but ventured in anyway. I received wonderful customer service from Mariel, who was patient, thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. I was thrilled to walk away with 2 pairs of boots that were 50% off, since it’s almost impossible for me to find shoes that fit my wide feet. If you’re a Stanford employee like me, regular-priced items are 15% off with a Stanford ID! The only reason this isn’t a 5 star review is the store didn’t have many accessories like heel grips to put in the back of shoes that are too wide at the heel. The shoes are expensive, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and service. They’re much friendlier here and more affordable than In Her Shoes, the other hoity-toity shoe store at Town and Country. I’ll definitely be back for more shoes!

I decided to check this place out because my coworker recommended this place to buy Danskos. Honestly, I’m not a fan of the look of Danskos, but I needed a comfortable and sturdy shoe that I could easily wipe off any blood or urine that spills on it. Yes, I’m a nurse. Their selection was just okay; basically just brown and black Danskos. I was interested in finding some colorful ones, but oh well, I ended up getting these black ones with a flower stamp on it. The employee who helped me was very nice. She brought out 8 pairs for me to try! Pricing was steep, but I think that is the going rate for Danskos. Yes one could go online and find a cheaper pair, but Danskos are a bit inaccurate in sizing, so it would be best to go in person and try them on yourself.

Came into this store which was a referral from a friend about specialized fitting shoes. Decided take the advice and get some work and everyday walking shoes! First off parking is difficult at this location so get here early or after lunch as the employees here give some 1 on 1 that’s informative and none pushy. They have pre custom orthotics which they put you on a device to determine your«foot» type or arch, which in turn can put in a pair of shoes you like. The young lady and a gentlemen there where both friendly and knowledgeable in there technique. Not for a second did I feel obligated to buy. It was simply put out here for me to make an informed decision. Brought out a few pairs fit me with some orthotics and I was one happy clam! I I recommend to anyone having foot ailments this location, don’t remember the names of the employees there but they were both more than helpful. Even though the gentlemen was helping someone else he took the time to check with me, even though his counter part was as great with her attention and service! Thanks Guys! Spreading the word on this location!

I don’t know how you call yourself«The Walking Company» and carry such a poor selection of legit walking shoes. The comfort police need to issue some citations. I’m pretty sure the law reads that if you don’t have Birkenstocks and Danskos *actually in your store*(online does not count) then you cannot use«walking» in your name. Isn’t there a law like that? Boo. The woman staffing the store tried to be helpful, but when I asked for their Birkenstock collection and she sent me(as a substitute) to a wall occupied exclusively by shoes with heels, I shook my head ruefully and walked right on out of that store. Maybe the law includes that your staff should know what is and isn’t similar to a Birkenstock? I mean that’s gotta be a huge violation there.

Nice clean store with very nice staff. My only complaint about this company in general is the over inflated shoe prices and general push to buy grossly overpriced orthotics of course«walking company» brand. Satisfied with my purchase. Just know going in that the orthotics push and price will be a bit silly.

Be prepared to not be helped until you are asked, I’ll give this branch about another 6 months max before it goes under.

I actually waited a month to buy a pair of shoes until I could find the time to patronize a local brick and mortar store, rather than buying online. One employee was helping another customer. The other was sitting on a bench writing in a notebook. After spending 10 minutes in the store the«writer» disappeared into the back without a word and did not return. I spent 15 minutes in the store without being acknowledged by either employee. I was the only other person in the store. So, I walked out and will be buying my shoes at Zappos instead. Nice job«walking company» employees.

Nice new clean store that carries men’s and women’s comfort shoes. Today while I was at the Town and Country Shopping center I noticed that The Walking Company finally opened. I walked in and immediately informed the the young lady that was working there that I was merely browsing so it was nice that she didn’t bug me while I browsed. I saw plenty of nice looking, comfortable looking shoes from athletic shoes to booted dress shoes to Uggs to several other styles of women’s shoes. I like that the prices are labeled on the soles of the shoes so I didn’t have to keep asking the sales clerk, «can you tell me how much these are.» Shoe prices seemed somewhat pricey for my taste but priced comparable to a shoe store across the from The Walking Company. It was difficult for me to tell if most of the shoes that I looked at today were leather or pa-leather. I think they were pa-leather. A nice selection of lambs wool lined winter shoes and boots.
