As a new parent in today’s society with endless technology, I guess you can say I’ve been prone to «cheating» when it comes to my 1 year old’s upbringing. What I mean is the use of technology such as cell phones and tablets to keep my child occupied. I say«cheating» because using these devices keeps me free while I tend to other things, yet still allows my child to be entertained. However, upon really thinking it through, this really isn’t the right way to raise my child. I wasn’t raised this way and my child shouldn’t as well. Of course I should in no way deprive the use of technology, but I realized I’ve become so dependent on it, that it was the ONLY thing I used. I wanted to find new ways to enrich my child’s development more than just youtube videos on my tablet. My child had little to no actual social interaction with others her age. It seems to be difficult these days, because it seemed as if many parents often«cheat» with technology as well. So one day I go out looking for a place that allowed a place that would offer actual interaction. I stumble into Wund3rkid. They seemed new, but I always am up for trying new businesses and I’m glad I did on this occasion. Located in a nice looking area of Palo Alto, Wund3rkid has a nice quaint space that is very welcoming for children and their parents. Right off the bat you notice how clean and new everything is. This doesn’t seem to be your typical type of day care that people stereo typically associate with. Modern parents will notice the lack of plastic toys here. You will find plenty of wood toys which is a huge thing for me because they are eco friendly and sustainable. The space is bright and modern thanks to the gray paint used as the base for the walls. It really allows the colors of everything else to pop and really widen the children’s eyes – as well as the parents’. The main play area has a plush rug to insure any accidental trips, bumps, and falls will not be painful for your little one. This was a major plus for my one year old since she just started to walk. Towards the back of the play area, they have another space with bench type seating which I thought was cool for the children to eat at. Not only did they have adult size cubbies but also cute little kid size cubbies to put shoes in. Everything was kid friendly. A portion of the wall was all of chalkboard material so kids can let their imagination fly on the wall with the chalk – and also allow them to do it here instead of your own walls at home. We stayed for a few hours and my daughter had a blast. It took her a bit to open up and feel comfortable to start playing with the toys, but once she did, she was on a roll. It was nice to also have other kids her age be there where she can interact and play with. There were a variety of toys that allowed myself and my wife to join in and really interact with our daughter. This type of interaction is usually not available when we just let her play with our phones or tablets. Michelle, the owner, was there and she would check on my daughter and us to insure we were doing ok or if we needed anything. She is genuinely nice and you can really notice she cares for the kids. Overall, I had a great time – more so my daughter did, here at Wund3rkid. It’s great to be able to have a fun and safe environment where kids of all ages can play and interact with others as well as an opportunity for parents to be involved. I also was informed while I was there that they can even hold private parties. This would be a great spot for your little one’s birthday or other events that involve bringing young kids. Wund3rkid is definitely the complete package! I am definitely support what they are doing. It’s just unfortunate I can’t afford a million dollar dinky 800 sq ft home in Palo Alto to be able to send my daughter here more often – but that’s another story.

Hosted my sons 1st birthday party here and it was great! We were able to personalize it unlike other party places we were scouting, which had rigid decorating and food themes. The owners let us bring our own drinks and catering that satisfied the diverse age group of the party(0 – 65), so everyone had a great time not just the kids! Since then my son has been back to play and socialize, and he loves the huge range of ‘green’ toys and cozy atmosphere.

Great place for toddlers! Really great wooden toys, nice space, friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back and try the Yoga class! The reason for only 4 stars — parking is very limited.

Nice and cozy, great toys, my 4 year old daughter and my 17 months old son had a great time there. If it’s too hot outside or rainy it’s a wonderful place to go.

So Wund3rkid is great for toddlers. They offer group classes like art, yoga, music, and dance! The center has a huge area for play and an area too also hold birthday parties. This place is a friendly area with close to walkable areas to the other stores and enough parking for anyone that stops by. Check this place out is a must
