I love this magical land ! With a view in every direction and delight in every aspect of your experience this is a very special place to spend time. From a good variety of events I’ve attended to the overnight gatherings I can truly say it’s one of those spots that carves a lil piece of contentment in your heart that will call you back time and time again. I’m so happy that Vicki and her crew of amazing people are energizing what I already consider a very sacred place and taking it to the next level of greatness. Once you go and experience its majestic landscape and purity with a high degree of grounding earth energy you’ll agree, I’m sure of it ;)

For primitive camping the views, nature sounds, and service level are great! I enjoyed staying in the cabin, too, and I understand they’ve made improvements since I last stayed here that might make it 5-star.

I first visited the ranch a few years ago, and was amazed at the amount of space available. Lots of camping spaces, a large lodge and deck, a more quiet guest house, and a bunk house for groups. Great variety of lodging, all within 60 miles of San Diego. It contains healthy, mature oak, cedar and pine trees(a rarity in many places due to drought), non-stop views, clear skies for star gazing, and lots of quiet spaces for camping, hiking, bird watching and wildlife viewing. I’ve looked at other campgrounds and cabin rentals located a few miles up the road, near the top of the mountain– and there is no comparison. Even in winter, this place offers warmth and sunshine on the southwest slopes of Palomar Mountain. The views extend into Mexico to the south, and Catalina Island to the west. Where else can you watch the sun set into the ocean from 60 miles inland? It’s possible to enjoy privacy and seclusion at the Guest House when you want to get away, or reserve more space to share with friends. They even have corrals/stables for horses, and welcome well behaved dogs. The Ranch is off-grid and has its own spring water. Energy is via solar panels and generator. A truly magical place– wonderful and much closer to San Diego vs. driving thru traffic to Big Bear, Idyllwild or Arrowhead. I really enjoy visiting.
