The front desk, Janet called me today and told me that my hepatitis B vaccine was denied by my insurance company. I already suspected something went wrong and I told her that I needed to verify with the insurance company. She continued to tell me that the vaccine is not covered for adults. Then after 15 minutes, I got a call from Torrance Hospital. They told me that the nurse from Dr. Yang’s office requested the Hepatitis B vaccine as my travel vaccine and that’s why it was denied. She asked me if I needed that vaccine as my prevention and I said yes. I told the Torrance Hospital staff how awful the staff at the Marco Yang’s office. Nurses at Dr. Yang’s office, please, don’t play me out. I am not a stupid patient!!! I told Janet how she actually requested the vaccine in her wordings.
An update:
I drove to Dr. Yang’s office and requested to speak to him. Dr. Yang listened to my complaints carefully and every details of the incidents. I told him that he is a very good doctor and he needs to have a good team to support his service. Unilocalers, Dr. Yang reads the comments here so please give your true and honest comments here. Please let him know.

I’ve been going to Dr. Yang for many years. He is super nice, caring, patient and very accommodating. He will recommend you to a specialist if your problem is out of his field of knowledge. He’s a wonderful family doctor!
His staff is really nice but they are so slow! He’s had them for many years, but frankly if you want things done efficiently you better follow up!

Dr Yang is a really nice doctor and very helpful. But what kills his practice is his reluctance to get with the times. First of all, they need a website. Second, his front office staff are so slow. They are just clueless and you have to call repeatedly to get any help. It’s a shame because he is a great doctor, but he really needs to do an overhaul and get with the times. Probably an ok doc if you live closeby and swing by when you need a refill or something. Otherwise, go elsewhere. They don’t even have a working fax half the time.

I have been coming to this office for about 27 years. It started off as Dr. Coleman’s practice and it is now Dr. Yang’s. I think I continue to come here due to familiarity. I know there are other Drs. nearby who could manage my medical needs. His staff is usually always friendly. On one hand I like his antiquated equipment and on the other, I feel he needs to update them.

Dr. Marcus Yang has been my family doctor for many, many years. I highly recommend him, he is a very good man. You never feel rushed and you never have any real wait to get in to see him. His staff is always smiling and courteous.
There is good parking availability.
