Extremely disappointed in the quality of sushi. Had sashimi first as I always do to see quality of fish. Hamachi looked cooked and tasted old, very small pieces same with salmon. Salmon skin hand roll… where’s the salmon skin, another very skimpy offering. I enjoy good sushi for two reasons, 1st great sashimi, then the art of the presentation. Sorry to say sake II is lacking in both aspects. Don’t waste your money here. Drive over to Fins on 23rd street in Panama City. Great great sushi chef and superior product.

Definitely a go to place. There is something on the menu that will hit the spot every time. It’s a small restaurant and normally there is only one waitress working at a time. It’s owned and ran by a husband and wife who work constantly so they will randomly take a morning off and open at 4pm or take a random weekend off. Sushi menu has a great variety, their food is fresh, and requests can be taken. If you go there often enough they treat you like family.

I’ve gotten better sushi at the grocery store. The rice was hard and crunchy. Rolls were tiny. The spicy scallop roll had such a strong fishy smell it was unpalatable. The sashimi was relatively fresh and well cut. Gyoza and edamame were bland and kind of stale. Hot green tea was good and tasted like a homemade brew. Server seemed clueless. She mixed up sashimi and sushi. I waited tables at a Japanese joint before and that is Japanese 101 stuff right there.

This place is bomb dot com. I had the Rainbow Roll, Dragon Roll, and Red Dragon Roll. All delicious. The edamame seemed like the kind you get from the frozen section of the grocery store, not very fresh. I’d definitely go back for the sushi though. Yum! Side note, in the bathroom they have a hand scrub for your hands that is amazing. It smells heavenly and makes your hands so silky smooth. You can actually purchase it from them. We may do that next time!

The soups were okay… but everything else was pretty blah. Had the hibachi chicken and fried rice and it didn’t have any flavor. The sesame chicken was okay… it had quite a bit of sauce… but we won’t be back :(pretty pricey for what we had.

Miso soup tasted terrible, like it came out of a package. Chicken stir fry consisted of mostly dark meat, and was bland.

I have been to the Sake House II over a dozen times now, and every experience has been wonderful! The Bento box lunches includes the main dish, soup, salad, rice and a 4 piece sushi roll for less than $ 8. Each and every time, the food has been consistent, fresh and hot! The owner and staff always greats you or thanks you immediately truly appreciate the business. Do yourself a favor and give the Saki House II(2) a try!

Had sushi and sake here. Not surprisingly there is plenty of sake to choose from and some Asian beers. Sushi is good, but not great. The physical environment is pretty nice.

4.5 really it’s that good. Incredible variety. We even got a 16 year old who has been living a sheltered life of Mickey D’s to eat here. Thanks to Dave and Kara for introducing us to Sake House. Not sure about the authenticity of fried cheesecake but it is oh so decadent.
