Overall not bad. Get there early — ish for some of the freshest and best tasting raw oysters you’ve had. Cannot complain Bout them at all. Staff at the bar/oyster bar is super friendly and attentive. The dinner was good too just not great. I had shrimp and fish. ½ and ½. Not bad fried. The shrimp was pretty good. The meal overall wasn’t stellar. The broiled snapper was really good from what I tasted of it. I’d be back back but other places are just as good if not way better.

Fantastic, consistent seafood joint off the beach strip. The owner is a local PCB native who grew up in the restaurant business and knows how to do it right. Great family owned shop. Everything is caught fresh in their own fishing boats and really delicious. While the fried grouper throats, mullet and oysters are fantastic — the grilled fish is out of this world good. Would highly recommend coming off the beach to check out the captains table!

Love this place! Don’t even waste time at Captain Anderson’s. That place is over rated and over priced and a tourist trap. Come to the Captain’s Table! Great fresh seafood! Grilled shrimp and snapper is amazing! Never been disappointed here! Stop in after a day of fishing. Don’t have to be very dressed up!

I don’t know why this place doesn’t get better reviews. It is the same seafood as Hunts which is ever packed, but this place has better sides, a better atmosphere(it’s cleaner, more spacious and the a/c is much cooler) and it has such friendly staff. My favorite place in PCB. And when we ordered steamed shrimp and oysters they brought it out a dozen at a time which was perfect because we got to enjoy them all hot.

Captains Table was a very quality restaurant. The shrimp had such a delicate and delicious flavor, complimented beautifully with butter sauce. The appetizers were as well quite wonderful, with phenomenal calamari, great tuna dip, and incredible fresh oysters. My only disappointment with this choice establishment was the rather pricy menu items. Although the shrimp great? It was priced at a hefty $ 21, which in my opinion was too much for the skimpy portion given. Captains table offers a meal that was worth maybe $ 15, but stays as a great eatery.

Great throats! Cole slaw was average and the hush puppies were pretty good! Wouldn’t recommend blackened and stick with the grilled. A Buck for blackening seasoning wasn’t worth it. I would definitely recommend this joint to my friends.

There was a lot of hype and build up before I came here with some people from work and I thought it was good, just good, not great. I am not a big fan of fried food and I think that was the issue — most everything they serve is fried, everyone I went with had something fried, everyone around me had something fried. I ordered mine grilled and I’m just not sure they understand the time it takes to grill fish/seafood, it was terribly overdone-The scallops were very rubbery. The service was GREAT, our waitress was so friendly and quick and it was lunch time and they were busy. I probably wont be back if I have a choice, but who knows — If I do find myself at the Captains table I’ll make sure to get something fried!

THEBEST! I favorite place to eat & I bring all my first dates here Ha Ha I strongly recommend this any seafood lovers. Fish is caught fresh daily, friendliest staff, comfortable dining area etc. I can go on all day about this place. They’re not really an oyster bar but the oyster are fro m Apalachicola & the cheapest I’ve seen in Panama City. The owners Mitch & Caroline & really great & talk they’re customers personally which I really like. Portions are very filling & prices fair. Check out there lunch one day & tell me how you like it :) I promise you won’t be disappointed

This is my favorite go-to in PCB. I literally find myself craving it! It’s small(ish) and unpretentious and just great quality seafood. The gumbo, red snapper, and shrimp and grits are all to die for. I don’t think you can go wrong with their menu. This is where the locals go for good seafood, so let that be your guide as well.

Fast and friendly service, clean as well. Food was fantastic. Casual place that was very busy. Service seemed to get the orders straight in spite of this being a large party(13). Overall a pleasant place to eat.

Really wanted to like this place because it was recommended to us by a friend. We were seated in the back and forgotten basically. We watched groups come in after us, get served before us and checkout… Meanwhile it took over an hour to get our food, what did arrive was cold, & and one person’s meal was forgotten and not prepared. Food was nothing to write home about and again it was cold… The server apologized and have many different excuses but I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Can’t say anything bad about this place at all. Food and service was great and we went on a Saturday night. We all had something different and tried a little of everything. Salads were more lettuce than anything but dressing were good I had the Greek. Grouper throats and fish were good. Throats were cheaper but had many bones so be careful. The grilled grouper and shrimp had a great flavor and was by far the best I ate. The baked potatoes were hot and cooked well and hush puppies had a sweet taste which I thought was good. Key lime pie was also good. Everything was fresh price was a little high but very good place to eat.

I live in Lynn Haven and we always go out on the beach and work our way back over the bridge. We go St Andrews often and eat at Captains Table once a month. I have tried grouper everywhere and every time we go there. I order the same thing. Had been going there for years. One time, I had talked to the chef and he suggested Grouper w horseradish crust w sauce. I would never have put horseradish and fish together. But, somehow they work together. It’s a little pricy. But, It’s a nice piece of meat crusted Panama City seared and finished off w a horseradish cream cause. The sauce Isn’t overpowering. It compliments the grouper. Best to get there early or if there’s only one or two of you, you might get a seat at the bar. No wait there. If only they sold liquor, Im not much of a beer drinker

This review is getting 2 stars because of the service, which was great. The price, which is on the high side, doesn’t match the quality of the food. My family and I ordered 3 different entrees, all of which appeared to be cooked WAY ahead of our order(the temperature of the fried seafood was lukewarm at best). The food seemed like it was cooked 30 minutes in advanced, and somebody forgot to put it under a heat lamp. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend. Unless you come here to try some of their sides, the zucchini salad was great, you are certainly best avoiding this place and it’s overpriced food. BONUS: do not, by any means, expect a whole fish with your entrée. You get«fish strips» that you may not be able to tell apart(fried snapper vs fried grouper = same).

A great place for fantastic seafood. It was very busy but still had great service. One of my Bay County favorites for sure! We will definitely be back every time family comes to visit from out of state.

I ordered the fish tacos that had cod as the fish and I paid $ 1.00 more for the fish to be blackened. The fish was cooked perfectly I just wish there was more fish inside the tacos because I was still hungry after. The tacos came with one side. My meal was around $ 15.00 and I expected a little more food. I’ve actually never had anything bad Omar Captains table. If you’re looking for a local hot spit go to Captains table and the fish is always fresh!

This place was such a wonderful mistake to find! My husband and I are kind of oyster snobs, and the oysters(tried all three) were amazing! Not to mention we had the smoked tuna dip and she crab soup. Beat tuna dip I’ve ever had, and the she crab soup, I can’t even explain how delicious it was! We sat at the bar with Leroy and Mason, they made our experience even better! Thanks guys!
