Why am I waiting for 15 minutes for a table when 7 tables are empty. I’m not hungry, not in a rush… daaaannnggg(Joe Dirt Voice)!!

Tried this Denny’s 3 times to give it a chance. Not ever going back. Service us very slow. The food comes to you cold because the service is slow it is sitting there waiting. The orders are always wrong. Plus parking is terrible. Whoever designed this place needs to eat there every day as punishment.

Used to be pretty good but now the service is horrible. I’ve been sitting in an almost empty resteraunt since iblve been here. Not only has my cup been empty but my dinner mates haven’t had a refill in 15 mins either. No one has stopped by our table to check on us. The blonde manager has walked by our table 3 times and completly ignored us. The wait staff is gathered around the kitchen gossiping and giggling instead of attending to their guests. If I didn’t enjoy the super bird as much I would never come back. From now on I will only order to go and they will be lucky if they get that. I would rather drive to Dothan and eat there than suffer through this dinner service again.

Slow service. The first time we went we got up and left since no one came to greet us. Tried again the other day and the service is still lacking. I wish they would get better!

Normally, I would be able to recommend this Denny’s location to anyone… that is not the case any longer. Tonight’s visit was a routine dinner with the family after church. Sandy was the manager on shift and doing a poor job of it at best. She was not to be found until I got up from our table and approached the serving counter requesting to see a manager. Gabrielle was our server and was managing 8 tables at one point during our meal. She did an average job considering the hussle that was required. The two other servers that covered the remaining 6 tables were struggling as the newly hired. The severs here are the hotess, the sever, the busers, cashiers and at some times the manager. Although I have never worked at a Denny’s, I bet it is safe to say, these servers do not get paid enough for doing all four jobs(not even mentioning the probability they are also prep staff and janitors once their shift is over). The reason I needed to talk to the manger in the first place was a compilation of unacceptable restaurant«events». 1. The service of all the patrons was painful to watch; all there were over tasked and under trained. 2. A glass of Sweet Tea without lemon arrived with lemon seeds in the bottom of the glass. 3. A plate of toast had chunks of bacon on it and 4. …the final straw was a piece if thick plastic was bit into ¾ of the way through my waffle. While discussing this with Sandy, she is fairly confused how this could happen and offer to cook me more. When I declined, we went o tok talk about the servers. When asked or they were short handed, she replied«no, they are just not doing well, and we aren’t even busy.» As she rolls her eyes. She then offerrs to take the waffle off of my bill, but I would have to wait because she needs to return to he kitchen to help their only cook on staff. I stated that I was not interested in paying for any our meals as all three of us had to deal with something nasty. She snarkily replies«excuse me, you ate the food didn’t you?» I replied, «Yes, right up to the second I bit into the plastic. Everything before that was going to be forgiven. I plan to tip Gabrielle for her service and nothing more.» Before I even finished my sentence, Sandy flares up, tosses the plate I handed her onto the countertop, throws her hands up in the air and storms off saying, «Whatever! I’ll pay for it! I have to help the cook!» I was surprised by the lack of patience and the completely unacceptable handling of a customer with a complaint. It appears to me that this manager needs some significant training and an attitude check. A manager should be the leader of everyone on shift, Gabrielle acted more like a manager then Sandy did. She was assisting the other servers especially with the cash register and was sincerely apologetic for the whole visit, not just her part in it. She didn’t blame anyone, simply hoped we would accept her aplolgies. Promote her now. P. S. All our previous visits have been satisfactory with some minor issues with service or the cook… easily 4 stars. I am sad.

So we called ahead with a party of 9, got there, waited 20 minutes to be seated while watching the staff hanging around chatting. Asked about it, and got a few eye rolls. We were already here, all of us just off work, tired and hungry. Finally got seated and waited another 10 minutes for the server to get our drink order. The table beside us just got their order… after an hour wait. We have a get together once a month, and I can assure you, based on the service so far, we will NEVER be back.

Been here twice within a couple months time I would say. Both times they got my order wrong(got regular buttermilk pancakes instead of whole wheat) and forgot little things here and there like syrup and refills. Food is good. Service could be a little better.

There has been a shift. The service is getting better. So much better that I gave the waitress a 30 percent tip. Now Denny ‘s, please send your line chefs to some form of training. The Santa Fe does not need to be so saturated in oil that I could lube ball bearings for 6 weeks by hand.

Ok, a ton of negative reviews so here is mine. I came at 0900 on Monday and was seated quick. My waitress, Jennifer was efficient, fast and friendly. I had the Senior Grand Slam and it was great. Yes, I will come back but expect it to be busy if I come on a weekend. The only down side was I could not connect to the Wifi. As for the negative reviews; it’s easier to find fault than compliment I guess. Give them a chance they have just opened. SMH

Back again. We like the food very much and the service is good. No complaints and I don’t know why people are giving it a bad rep.

Service was great but the amount of food served was not for what you paid for. If you are paying for a $ 9 – 10 plate, you should have the amount of food that conmesurates that price. First and last time I’ll come here.

The food was delicious, but the wait staff sux. They need about 6 weeks worth of training or more. They don’t seem to be concerned about their customers. Do they know what tips means? Because they sure don’t insure proper service. Guess what no tips for them.

First off. They have more tables than parking spots. So if it’s busy you will have to park next door at an optometrist office and hope the towing sign is an empty threat. On the bright side, I don’t expect the parking lot to be full in the future. Waited ten minutes or so to get a drink order. Another five to get them and another 40 minutes to get food. Waitress was nice. Food was decent, except for bacon not being cooked, and cold pancakes. I have been to many other Dennys and this place doesn’t even compare.

Well, Panama City has managed to mess up a(usually) sure thing in Denny’s. The service was sub-par, and the food wasn’t good at all. I got the Hearty Breakfast Skillet, and the fried eggs that top the lackluster potatoes weren’t even cooked all the way. I don’t mind runny yolk at all, but the egg white wasn’t even cooked all the way. C’mon, if you’re a breakfast place you should be able to cook eggs! On top of that(physically underneath) the potatoes were bland, and the cheese that was supposed to be on it all was hardly there. I only had a glass of water to drink, and when she brought out a refill the water had a peculiar tint to it. I asked her to bring me a new water, which she did, but still… If you’re looking for breakfast, just go to iHop around the corner!

Can’t say anything about the food, I didn’t make it past the wait and the drinks. Our server had filthy fingernails. It was packed when we got there and waited for maybe 10 minutes-not bad for a full house. We waited at least another 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. We were sat at a tiny table for 2 right up against a wall. It’s very cramped-felt like I was in the way and just waiting for someone to run into me. We ordered coffee and a lemonade. Another long wait and the drinks were terrible. No ice in my lemonade, and it tasted watered down. Coffee was bitter. I had to wait for our waiter to come back to ask for a sweet tea instead. This time we «watched» him– he seemed absolutely clueless. He stood by the drink fountain area for a while before he went for some help. Meanwhile, the table next to us was having issues with their food-something about the soup tasted funny-their waitress came back and apologized that something that was ordered was unavailable because they were out. Everyone at the table had food except for the one lady and she was very unhappy. Our clueless waiter had to find help to brew some tea-turns out they had been out a while and they hurriedly ran around the restaurant asking who all needed tea. Someone who wasn’t our waiter dropped off a glass of mostly ice and not even a full glass of tea. That’s when we decided to leave. What a bummer. We arrived at 7:30 and left around 8:20 hungry and disappointed.
