Don’t know what some of the more negative comments on here are about. Not a full service grocery store. But EXCELLENT prices on what they do stock. Place is clean enough. Just not fancy. If you like to save money on the same thing you’d be buying down the street for more, definitely come here.

Wow great store. We Biked to the store from the nearby marina with a bit of trepidation after the reviews. I have seen a lot of big box stores not this clean. Loved the prices. They are definitely lower. Produce fresh too. And staff friendly. Will certainly return.

Bit late doing this review. Budget shopping old school, you need a massive bag of chittlins or pig ears, this is your stop. On the other hand I wanted some gluten free pasta and sure enough there was a tiny section with more gluten free stuff than the normal grocery. It was heaving with people, cheap and friendly. Definitely something for everyone but it is a bit third world so don’t bring attitude

Come on, I have to give it 5 stars because it’s the Gross Me Outlet! I only go when absolutely necessary(AKA when I’m broke) but it always proves to be a good time. I see the most awesomely WHACKEDOUT folks stroll through here. A good chuckle and you can’t beat the prices! Back in the day the conveyor belts didn’t work and you had to move your own groceries! Now that’s HOOD!

Most of the prices are better than any other supermarket. The meat prices cannot be beat anywhere and their meat is very good as well. They also have meat bundles. I have been shopping here for four years and I like this store! The only complaint I have is that the aisles are too narrow and there are always stockers in the store so besides customers you also have stockers in the aisles which can create problems maneuvering through the store. Also they have Pepperidge Farm bread, bagels, etc. for $.75 each on Tuesdays and Fridays which is a deal! You can’t even get that deal at a bread store.

My first impression of Grocery Outlet was more of a «eek! me thinks not!» But I’ve been there a few times now and it’s not so bad. The first time I went those little fruit flies(and some regular flies) were all over the produce. This was a major turn off, but I was trying to act like it wasn’t grossing my out. I can be tough, after all. On my second visit the flies were not a problem, so I am not sure what that was all about. Anyway, the produce is much cheaper at Grocery Outlet than at regular grocery stores. Sweet Potatoes are usually between $ 0.55 and $ 0.65 per pound, which is a lot less than the $ 0.99 per pound price at the regular grocery stores in town. The produce doesn’t appear to be as fresh at times, but most of the time it seems to be of the same«freshness» as the other local grocery stores. They carry, among other interesting things, goat meat! It’s rather cheap, but tasty. I wish there was a little more selection in the cuts of the goat meat though… They have lots of name brand items as well as «off-brand.» Check here for condiments/spices. For being such a small store they also have a large selection of ethnic foods, which is great! The deal at Grocery Outlet is this: You pay what they pay for the groceries, plus 10%. That sounds like a pretty good deal to me! So, it’s not the cleanest grocery store in town… but it most certainly is the cheapest. If you’re living on a budget, like most of us nowadays, give them a try. You probably wont find everything you’re looking for, but they may surprise you!
