After years of mediocre food and so-so service, I am happy to say that they have recently made a huge improvement. Last week I had the ribeye and shrimp special. In the past it was always a sad experience. But this time to my surprise, they served an excellent meal. The steak was well seasoned and cooked a precise medium. Everything from the shrimp to the twice baked potato was perfect. I couldn’t believe that the salad was an actual salad and not just lettuce and tomatoes. The other day I went back with my girls and once again everything was great. I sure hope that whatever changes they have made in their kitchen continues. If the changes are permanent then this place will soon become my favorite restaurant. Also, the service has really improved. One thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that the servers always ask if you want to add a tip on your card, even if you are only picking up a to-go order. Maybe it’s irritating to me because I don’t see a reason to tip on to-go orders. The other is that they really should get rid of the pool table that nobody uses and add more dinning tables. Some matching furniture would also do a lot for the atmosphere. But as long as the food continues to be great I will be a regular.

Best Cubans… Phillies…and burgers… ask for the Miami burger for a twist on a classic. Staff is great… they remember you & you are like family. Come hungry because portions are huge!

Service was very good and the food was served quickly. The wife had the Philly and now I wish I had to. I ordered the fried grouper sandwich and sadly it was not very good. The fish was crunchy on the outside and mushy inside. I have to say I really doubt that it was grouper, and if it was it came out of a frozen bag from walmart. On the upside my wife’s philly was really good and the kids both enjoyed their food. I have been here many times and this is the first time the food was not good. Just steer clear of the grouper sandwich.

A Bayou George institution I’ve enjoyed for years! The Lazy Dog has great burgers and sandwiches and very reasonable prices. The servers have all worked there for years, and the atmosphere is very friendly and small-town. The whole experience and ambiance of the Lazy Dog is very different from that of a meal in Panama City proper. It’s life at a slower pace, but with food that’s cooked up fast My personal favorite is the Philly cheese, which has to be one of the most authentic(and without a doubt the best) such sandwich in Bay County. The burgers are also great, and normally the Lazy Dog has daily specials will all sorts of comfort foods(meat loaf, tacos, and so forth). As a side note, I’d suggest skipping the chips and paying a bit more for the surprisingly good fries. If spending the day in northern Bay County, I would highly recommend considering the Lazy Dog for a true local lunch.
