Great place to live. It’s the perfect distance between Base and the mall and reasonably priced. My husband and I have lived here for 2 years, our one bedroom apartment feels very spacious since we have vaulted ceilings, which is great since we’re both tall! The one negative is parking can sometimes be a problem unless you want to pay for a reserved parking spot every month.

Whispering Palm is a relatively nice place to live, it is pet friendly and has reasonable rates. Personally I haven’t had many issues and require minimal help from maintenance who are always very friendly. The office is usually preoccupied with their extra curricular activities so don’t expect a timely response from them. For the area, this is a nice place to live, especially short term due to annual rent increases. Overall, I would recommend this complex due to a lack of other options.

The only way in is main gate, which is usually not working. Back gate does not allow entry at all. Maintenance is poor, alot of mold/mildew on exterior walls. Main entrance looks ok but rest of complex is largely ignored. Issues with other tenants are ignored. Not worth the high rent they charge, and nowhere near«resort» living as they claim. I have lived here for 3 months now and at first I had no issues or any problems UNTIL, there was a water leakage that started in «OUR» patio area. The other side of the patio area is my daughters room, since this leak has started there has been a mildew smell coming from her room. I have informed the leasing office many times about fixing this issue. I have not been having my daughter stay in the room due to the smell, and it may cause health/medical issues. I have spoken with the doctors on base(Tyndall AFB) and advice that I don’t let my daughter sleep there until the smell is no longer. It has been TWOMONTHS now since I have yet to use the room, AND am still paying for a room that I CANNOT use. The only thing that was fixed was the wall in the patio, but as far as the mildew smell, it still has not been fixed. I have to remind them EVERYDAY, about this issue to be fixed. When they initially came up to inspect the room, they said that it’s not mold, and suggested that they will have cleaners to clean the carpet so the smell will stop. Obviously did not fix the problem. Days pass, I am still calling them daily to remind them to get this issue fix. It has come to the point where they no longer pick up my calls. They have also picked up and hanged up on my call. There has been times where I would call all day and no response, yet when I go ahead in walk in the leasing office after work, they are just SITTINGINTHEOFFICE chatting with each other. When I remind them of the issue they seem to make up excuses of what will be done, or BLAME us for the ISSUE?. Whenever I can get ahold of them on the phone, they will say they will call someone, AND call me back, BUT I never get a phone call back. I can’t wait till I can get out of this place, TILL then, I’ll keep calling daily until this issue is fixed because they have no idea what to do right now, and here I am still paying for a two bedroom apartment, with only one of them that’s usable.
