If I could give zero stars I would.
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THEIR NIGHT STAFF???
SECOND time in one week I’ve called to ask about public skate and kids classes.
SECOND time the girl literally in the middle of my sentence has hung up on me.
SECOND TIME.
I can literally hear her lower the phone and the phone hang up. It’s almost like it’s an old school phone where the ear/​mouth part sits back on a cradle.
This review is not about «no one go there…»
This review is about SEVERELY LACKING decent, normal customer service.
If you don’t know the answer suggest for me to call back the next morning when someone can better help me. Anything.
Both times I called back and it just rings and then is answered by an answering machine.
Seriously. Who does that??? Just hangs up on their customers asking information, basic information about their programs?
Someone please properly train this girl. This is so unacceptable.

I’ve been going here for about 4 months.
Public session tends to be less crowded during weekdays making it a good time to relax.
During weekends it can be a bit dangerous with so many aloof kids skating in your way. If it’s really packed BE CAREFUL because a lot of the young ones are completely oblivious to being potentially trampled.
All-​in-​all the crowd is very friendly. You see new skaters every session, so don’t be shy. There’s talented skaters to marvel and envy, and plenty of comedic moments from the newbies.

Well, this place is a very good place to chill and have a good time.
The place was very clean and the staff were very friendly. I was a new guy there with my buddies and they made me feel comfortable. The staff were great!
A lot of skilled skaters there, you can be entertained just by looking at them.
I visited there with only few people around. Really nice to skate.
I will be definitely coming back.

I just had my Daughter’s Birthday party here this weekend.
About a month ago I exchanged a few emails back and forth with the General Manager Lloyd and I decided to meet with him to see the rink and we set a date for her party. He gave me a great deal for ice time and the party room. We agreed on an hour and 15 minutes on the ice which was plenty of time for 1^st time skaters and I also had a hour and a half in the party room… which I only used for about an hour.
So I rented out the big rink (1 of 2) for my party which included skates and walkers. They even let me play my own music! It was so much fun! Misty was the girl that helped my whole party get their skates together. We had a blast! Some of us were able to skate but a bunch of people in my party were falling all over the place. That is what made it fun. We had a lot of laughs. We had such a great time on the ice. No one bothered us at all. They let us do our thing until it was time to move into the party room.
The party room fits about 30 people. I had 60 people in my party but don’t worry… They were nice enough to put tables and chairs in the ballet room. At first I thought it was a little awkward to have my party separated but it actually wasn’t a big deal. My family stayed in the ballet room to eat and all of my friends and kids were in the party room. We had food delivered from Uncle Tony’s Pizza which made it easy. I just brought in cake, a rolling ice chest of drinks, and nachos.
Lloyd was so helpful with the details of the party. He made sure everything went smoothly. He wasn’t there the day of the party but Pierre is his Assistant and everything was perfect. This was the easiest party I have ever had and it was something no one has ever done on my side so everyone had a blast! Thanks Lloyd and Pierre!
I have had parties at several other places and usually everything is on a schedule and you feel rushed but not here. They didn’t even come and talk to me which was a good thing. Usually I get someone nagging in my ear with a countdown on when I should exit the play area and/​or move on to the next but they let us be. Of course we didn’t take advantage of the situation. You just have to know when to get off the ice and move everyone to the party room. Which wasn’t hard. Everyone was so tired and hungry from being on the ice that when the food got there, they followed me into the party room lol
I also would like to add that Josh, the Supervisor helped me carry everything to my car back and forth. He is so nice and so helpful! I really appreciated all of his help. I know he didn’t have to but the fact that he offered and actually help me… made me love this place even more. The Staff is extremely accommodating and I couldn’t have ask for a better birthday party for my Daughter!
Maybe I’ll see you guys next year if I decide to have it there again! Thanks LA Kings Valley Ice Center!!!

Went with the family today, and I can say was that it was really FUN!!! Kids loved it, they had a great time. Even my lil one (1 ½ yr old) had a good time, and I thought it was adorable to see him with his tiny skates.

Once in a while ice-​skater review.
I go here every once in a while. In fact, this was the first place I stepped on the ice. I find that this rink is huge and really makes the experience amazing. Occasionally and on occasion because I still have not found out when they do, but they turn on the night lights and play some music. This just makes the experience exquisite. I always recommend this one for a group skate.
Although, I never see a staff supervision. However, I have never seen a bad fall or any terrible accidents.
They also switch rinks at different times which is pretty cool, skating on the main rink.

I was in my car at a plaza just next to this place and I remembered it was like 100+ degrees outside. I was waiting in my car to kill time but I was dying. It felt like hell.
Then I saw this place and thought of going in to kill time and survive. Man when I opened those doors, it felt like God open the gates to heaven.
I went inside and chilled while I watched people getting their hockey lessons. It totally beat the heat that day and if you just wanna drop by and be by yourself on a hot day or whatever day, I believe this is the perfect place to be. They have lots of places to sit and hang out. It also amusing to watch people skate and see the hockey players do their thing.
A big plus is that you don’t have to pay to go in and you can just watch what’s going on without being haggled. This open door policy entices you to wanna skate as well. They have scheduled times for open ice skating so if you wanna skate just check the times when the rink is available on their website. If you like what you see then why not try.

The LA King’s Valley Ice Center is a good place to do many different things such as: ice hockey, free skating, broomball, figure skating, etc. The one thing that the ice center lacks is the customer service is not that good and most things are overpriced.
I have gone here numerous times to play broomball, which is where everyone plays in their shoes. Also, they have a stick and hit a ball around on the ice. It is very fun, but when you fall it hurts so wear long sleeve clothing. Every time we have gone we have waited to get on the ice past our scheduled time which is ridiculous. For example, yesterday we were supposed to be on the ice at 10:15 and they still had another party on their. We started around 10:30 and were not able to go the full hour. That is terrible customer service and I was a little disappointed. When you pay $ 250 for an hour you expect an hour.
They have ice hockey leagues and they have open skating every day of the week during certain hours. I think it is $ 12 for skates and $ 6 to get a little cart to help you skate. Also, if you plan on getting food it is very pricey. A cup of noodles is $ 2.50 and a little bag of dippin dots ice cream is $ 4. Also, they have some arcade games for the children to play and a kid center to host parties.
Bottom line: This place needs improvements.

A little out of the way for me, but one of the few indoor all-​year-​round ice skating rink with public skating. $ 12 per person including skate rentals and all you can skate for the public skating hours. Check the website for hours because they may change. They have plenty of parking in their lot. I thought the state of their rinks was pretty well-​kept, and they have 2 rinks, so plenty of space. I went on a weekday, so it wasn’t very crowded at all. It was mostly children, so watch out for the hyper ones, but most are courteous, and I didn’t have any bad crashes. The quality of the skates was also fine, and they have both figure and hockey skates. They have lockers for your bags, but a lot of them are broken, so test it out before you put in your quarters or you may end up losing a lot of quarters. Very cold inside, so if you’re just going to watch, I recommend warm clothing. If you’re skating, you should still wear some warmer clothing because they do keep it VERY cold in there. I enjoyed watching the lessons and skaters practice when I was resting because they were very good. They have some arcade games, and vending machines, but there wasn’t any food when I went. I definitely recommend LA King’s for ice skating.

I have played hockey here, and have skated for fun. All in all it is a great place to come to. There is ample parking, the staff is friendly and always willing to help. I have seen some bad reviews on the rental skates but I did use a pair once and they were not that bad. Price is fine. It’s the valley, its hot, and they are maintaining a huge sheet of ice. I would dread seeing their cooling bill. lol. As far as hockey or stick time is concerned, they have enough locker room space, its usually never crowded and sometimes goalies show up so it gets interesting.

Great place to go and skate! Went with a friend who plays hockey so he could teach me to skate. While the skates aren’t exactly the best, they are rental skates, so I wasn’t expecting them to be perfect. Just keep in mind that if they feel loose, try getting a smaller size that fits your foot snugly. I usually wear a 9 and a half and ended with a size 7 skate that felt so much better. Had a great time and was very cheap for a lot of public skate time + rental!
The only thing to note is that my friend did complain about their second, smaller rink to the side. Apparently the ice doesn’t go all the way to the wall and drops down a little bit… Didn’t experience this myself so I didn’t think it warranted taking off a star at all. I think that rink is for hockey ice time with sticks & pucks.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The staff is so great and VERY respectful. My kids are doing the Kids 1^st Skating and they ALL LOVE it.
I had an incident happen Yesterday while I was with my kids and Husband. I fell and hit my head hard on the Ice. The staff came right over and helped me off the ice. They were very kind and helpful to not only myself but to my family. They took a report and did everything they were supposed to as part of their procedure. Jo was very kind and sweet and was a great Person. This is a place I will be definitely be coming back.

Party room and private ice for kids party. Accommodating staff, willing to go the extra mile. The place for a cool celebration.

Great place to go ice skating and/​or play hockey whether its sticktime or a pick up game. They have to rinks, one big one, and a little bit smaller. The bigger rink is nice and well maintained, the smaller rink on the other hand could use some work on the ice surface but it isn’t terrible.
The people their are SUPER friendly and always willing to help. On public sessions, the skate guard dude is very friendly and helps people learn to skate. Prices are great too!
For things like sticktime on the other hand, I give two thumbs up! The locker rooms are clean, the ice is nice, and the price is great!

It’s a nice big ice rink, but their skates were really bad. very not sharp and old. I asked for another pair and they were a little better. As the guy said «that is not their first priority».
Well you fall much more often on skates like these, so they need to make it their priority. It won’t take a lot of resources to sharp their skies.
First time skiers won’t feel the difference, but this is very important to learn how to ice skate on a sharp blade.

Great way to stay out of this crazy heat and cool down. Kids are going back to school soon so I decided to take them here to enjoy the ice. We had so much fun. Staff are super friendly and helpful. There’s always a staff on the ice to help you and etc.
I highly recommend this place for kids and adults. Check out groupon for deals.
Admission and skates rental: $ 11 for kids and $ 1 more for adults but today we got in for FREE:)

Good place to go skating during the Summer month in Panorama. The area is kinda sketchy but good facility nevertheless. The staff is friendly and will help you choose the right skates or answer any question. The ice, for the public sessions, is really beaten up (especially along the boards) and gets worse as people skate on it. A mid-​session Zamboni-​ing would really help.
They offer different programs for kids to learn how to skate or play hockey — relatively inexpensive as well — they even let you use equipment if your child doesn’t have any. Youth and Adult Ice Hockey leagues too.

Great ice skating rink! They actually have two ice skating rinks here! It wasn’t crowded when my son and I visited (we went during the weekday). We went using a Groupon and there was no problem redeeming it. The workers also gave my son a brief lesson on ice skating. Nice facility, well maintained!
This place is 100 times better than the ice skating rink in Van Nuys!

Great place to take the kids to skate… the staff here are very friendly. The only bad thing I have to say about it is the parking on the weekend. But other then that great place… Go Kings Go… We’ll be coming back.
