If you’re looking for something sweet after your regional Mexican food crawl at Plaza del Valle, Raspadoxpress has so many options to please your sweet tooth. The lady recommended I get this picagallo instead of the bowl of esquite or vasito de elotes I was eyeing on their menu tonight. The picagallo was the perfect combination of sweet and spice. I also enjoyed finishing off my treat with the chopped up fruit at the bottom of this interesting concoction. I would be a regular if lived closeby.

I don’t normally done write bad reviews. The Raspados are amazing, the rating is not for that, but for the service. I ordered a diablito and I may have spoken a little soft so the lady thought I said something else and gave me a fruit bowl. When I told her that’s not what I ordered she was like«yea, that’s what’s you wanted» and gave me a bit of attitude with the eye roll. As someone who works in customer service I don’t appreciate when a customer is argued with. No apology or anything was given. When I got my actual order she didn’t put the candy stick, which is the best part of the raspado!!! Needless to say, I wasn’t happy. The one on San Fernando always provides great service.

I truly recommend this place. Ask for Tania she is the manager, her customer service is out of this world. She’s fast and mostly everything i have ever purchased has been made by her. The raspados are always tasty and the crepes are perfectly done. She doesn’t put too much or too less. I love coming here.

I had ordered a Chamango and for some reason this time it wasn’t shaved ice my raspado had chunks of ice which made me feel like I had a juice with ice! It was a waste of my money!

Delish! Picked up some Raspado’s for lunch today. The trompo and chamango are sooooo good! Perfect combo of sweet with a little kick. The place is located in the middle of an outdoor mall. Plenty of parking and lots to do. Several food vendors also. Definitely recommended. They only have one table with two chairs in front. So if you don’t plan on picking up and going then you may have to wait quite a while for a seat.

Raspadoexpress was at an event in Sylmar a few weeks ago and I tried one of their strawberry raspado’s. It had a great mix of real strawberries, strawberry juice/syrup, and shaved ice.

This location is always has rubbed me wrong, they do not know how to run a restaurant or a business for that matter. My girlfriend and I ordered two smoothies, we repeated it for the lady at least 3 times both in English and Spanish. She had no comprehension of what we were ordering, she said something way off. Finally order placed, we waited over 30 mins. After we confirmed them about our order taking so long, they gave us a hard time and requested out receipts. They were literally sitting on the counter behind the guy, he handed it to us, melted. I made them remake it, took them no more then 3 mins.

Raspados are good, but the service here can be better. This place is located inside a plaza(Plaza Del Valle. Raspado Xpress can be really busy and I feel so bad because there is about 5 employees cramming up in this small workplace. I came here an hour before closing time since I was craving for some esquites so I ditched the fam on a Sunday night with one of the cousin. As we arrived, everything in the plaza were closed beside the raspado place and I see may people hanging out and in line so I knew it would take a while. While in line, I than decided to just buy some for the family to share. My order ended up being 6 raspados, a chamango, and an esquite. My cousin and I waited patiently for our order, until a guy worker yelled out a name that sounded like mines(which was mine). I knew it was my order because I can see what I ordered through the clear window and no one else was claiming the order. So what I did is, I went to pick up window and ask the gentlemen if he meant to say my name and his quick response was«NO» even if the name sound so much similar to mine. I told him what my order was and how I see my order was sitting down the counter. I felt like the guy did not want to give it to me as he was making it more difficult, even the rest of his co– workers knew it was mine, yet he was still arguing. Maybe because he was still thinking he was correct and we were all mistaken. I know it is right to make sure a customer get the correct order and check, but he went beyond what he had to do, just to prove to himself that he was right. He then asked for my receipt to make sure it was mine and looked through it thoroughly while everyone was just waiting for him to give me my order. I don’t see any other customers for pick up showing their receipt! Anyways, when he finally gave in and gave me my order, he was a bit eased out and was nice to tell me to be careful and offered me a bag instead of caring 5 of them in a holder. All in all, the Nuez(Nuts) flavor raspado is always good especially with lechera(condense milk), can’t really go wrong with that! The esquite never again especially paying $ 3.95 for them, I rather go to a corn man who sells them for a cheaper price and the quality if better. The like their chamangos but this time it was all that great. There was too many mango syrup they put on top now and less real mango fruit inside the drink.

Worst location ever. The place is really small and hard to find. It’s a little alley way, heads up. It had been 30 minutes and they hadn’t called our name. They asked me to verify with the receipts. I ask them what’s up with our smoothies and they had them there the whole time so they were melted by the time they handed it to us. I asked them to remake it and they gave me the ugliest look. Honestly, this is the worst customer service ever. Right after, a lady told them that she didn’t ask for a coconut and they insisted that they did.

It took me hours trying to find this place, its inside the PLAZEDEVALLE shopping stores. I thought it was somewhere else cause my map was taking me places. Loved it, will be back again!

Like getting a raspado on the street except it is always there and you don’t have to go chase the guy around. A small raspado is $ 2 and change and they have dozens of flavors and traditional combinations.

Only reason it has 3 stars is because the SMOOTHIESARESO F****** GOOD! It could have earned 5 stars but my problem is the service, the service can be so F******* terrible sometimes at this place, and on a busy day the wait is almost ridiculous! The staff here needs a makeover they just don’t listen accurately to orders!

I was raised on the east side of the Los Angeles river therefore I’ve had my fair share of authentic raspados. When I moved to the valley for school, I was in dire need of a raspado and came across Raspado Xpress as recommended by most valley people. I honestly don’t know how I feel about it, but it certainly did not meet my expectations. Now I’m trying really hard to make this review strictly on the raspado, but I have to say that the customer service played a factor into how I feel about this place.(It wasn’t all that great) I digress. The raspado could have been better. They could’ve cared to make it look a little better. I’m just saying that for the amount of time I had to wait for it(I was the only one there) I was expecting something greater.

Okay. Service was 50⁄50. Here’s why: We were standing in line, nobody was in front of us. There was a lady trying to pick up her order and was obviously upset because instead of preparing her order, the ladies were just standing around talking. There were at least 5 employees crammed up in the tiny space inside. None came to take the order or serve the order. Only one girl out of the 5 others was willing to help anyone. One star just for her! The rest should be fired. The second star is for the presentation and taste. We got a Champiña and a Fresabesa. Asked for both regular. Also to get the tamarind candy straw, 50 cents extra. No problem. We get our order, my tamarind candy isn’t there so the one helpful employee is about to put one after I tell her, and the other lady tells her no because we didn’t pay up for it. That’s their fault not mine! So I pay 50 cents, well I tried. The girl who said we didn’t pay made me wait to pay the 50 cents because she went back to her gossiping with the rest. Apparently she couldn’t wait 5 seconds. I placed the 50 cents on the register and told her it’s there and she can charge because we can’t wait around for that. As we were walking to the car, I take a sip. Guess what? They made mine spicy! I told my fiancé to try his, and his was spicy too! So much for them asking if we want regular or spicy. It doesn’t taste bad, I actually like it. But the fact that they didn’t do what we asked, was a bummer. It’s sad the employees don’t do their job. Now I know why people complain about long lines. They act as if they have one customer and don’t come back to help the rest. The taste and presentation is great. But the service… Yeah hire people who actually care about how their customers will feel!

Love this place ! Love their crepes, fresas con crema, and the vanilla raspado. And the chamango is good as well. I don’t get that weird look or that feeling they’re talking about me in Spanish here just cause I’m Asian. The wait wasn’t too bad either. And I feel that the workers there is nice too.

I tried these raspados once when I purchased a groupon. The groupon was greats and worth the buy, and the workers were super friendly. The sizes are huge! I tried the spicy pineapple one and my sister had a Zapote shake. I am Not sure but it might just be my taste being different, but I wasn’t a fan of the spicy raspado. My sister loved her shake though. I did try this place one more time but got a traditional raspado instead. The fruit was super fresh! They are very good to try Something new but be aware that it might not be exactly your cup of tea. Either way enjoy!

Wow so close to me and have driven by this place a dozen times. Its a very small place. There is seating outside, but with the heat, Forgetaboutit. There was a line to get in, but its worth the wait. I wanted to try the fruit salad, but I chose to get Raspados. they are very delicious. With it being very Hot today I would tell them to make it non-spicy. Parking in the rear is better. Behind the Denny’s. With the volume that they are doing I would strongly recommend that the owner get a bigger location. They have a Great product. Cute little place. Great Job. To the cashier your smile goes a long way. Great Job.

I saw the groupon deal for this place and I never buy a Groupon without checking the Unilocal reviews first. I noticed a few bad reviews on custoner service and that’s a big NONO for me no matter how good their stuff is. But today I was in the area and remembered the groupon deal so i decided to give this place a try and I’m glad I did their raspados are GREAT! They’re sweet, fresh, tangy,& spicy(you can opt for non spicy) it’s like the best virgin cocktail ever. Creating a party of flavors and textures in your mouth Icy, juicy, fruity, YUMMY! But most importantly the two girls working were really great, they were sweet, helpful with recommendations, and quick with their service. They had a long line and they had the drink coming quickly. One of my new favorite places!

Chemango! It’s the best kind of Raspado there is. For those of you who don’t know what either of those 2 items mentioned is, let me explain. Raspados are Mexican shaved ice with fruit and syrup. They come in tons of flavors like mango, pineapple, coconut, strawberry, etc. I love coconut but Chemango is my favorite. It’s a combination of mango, chemoy(which has tamarind and some other things mixed in), and chili. It’s sweet, sour and spicy. Raspado Xpress makes seriously delicious Chemango. Although you can buy much cheaper Raspados from a questionable cart in a park, getting it from Raspado Xpress is better. They have a wider variety of flavor and is much cleaner. It is pretty pricey though at $ 6 each. The size of the Raspados here are really big.
