By far the best place for any man, boy, or child to get a great and stylish haircut. If you want a $ 10 clipper cut this place isn’t for you. If you want to look your absolute best, call them… you will be glad you did!

I needed a new barber when I moved to Malvern last year, and Philly Bloke is as great a place I could’ve hoped for. They’ve got a rustic, old-​school look inside and they offer coffee, beer, water, etc., while waiting. It’s a small space, but they make the most of it, for sure. Cuts are around $ 30 – 36 for an adult, which is pretty comparable to any higher-​end salon in the area, and all it takes is one crappy visit to Supercuts to make you appreciate a real barber.
Brandon’s been my barber since the first visit — really friendly, easy to chat with, and we both happened to get engaged to our girlfriends within about a month of each other!
Parking can be a pain: there’s a small alleyway that runs behind the building, but there’s only really space for 2 – 3 cars. There’s a large, usable lot across the street in the shopping center, though.

I have been getting cuts from Oswaldo for a year, my son from Brandon. The place is the best both for style and service.

I’ve been getting my haircut at Philly Bloke for over a year now. Its probably the best option in the entire philly burbs. I live in Wayne and there are 3 barbershops right in the downtown, and all of them are essentially retirees giving mediocre buzzcuts. I make the drive to Paoli.
You can’t go wrong with any of the barbers. The ambiance is great, and you tell that Eric the owner really has an attention to detail. The location is pretty convenient too. One of the best features is the ability to book your appointment online. It saves a lot of hassle.

I always leave here with a great feeling. I started coming here when I moved to the area last year and love it! The owner, Eric, is awesome! He’s a great guy and always likes to strike up conversation. I always see Oswaldo for my cut, who is so much more than a barber, but more like a friend. The hair cuts are always fantastic and we’ll tailored to my personal style.
Philly Bloke also has a great ambiance. It really reminds you of comfortable den, and I feel very relaxed here. Fresh coffee, beer on tap… something for everyone.
I will be a patron for years to come!

We all know that our hair finds a way to have its say at the end, no matter how well you try to tame it. That notwithstanding, we all love a good haircut. We want one that is sophisticated and trendy and we want to enjoy the experience. The thing is there are good places offer that well but they are few. One of them is Philly Bloke.
I have great things to say about these guys. They are patient and take their time to know me. I’ve been there twice now and both times I saw that they were trying to gather my style and I could easily see that they knew how to deliver. I asked for Oswaldo both times and he was incredible at figuring out what I liked. I didn’t like some of the options he offered but I can see how each of them would have worked. I might try one of those in a future visit. The two times I was there, I went with one of his options that I figured was good for me. It turned out perfect.
One thing I’d do differently if I was them is to open up the place some more. Most high end places have a more open concept and this just didn’t feel like that.

Finally, a real barber and a shop with a great relaxed feel. Just walked in on a very busy day without an appointment, Eric volunteered to cut my hair past the hours of his shift. Excellent conversation, customer service and arguably the best haircut I’ve ever had.
This is the place to come for barbers who can look at your hair type, facial structure, personal style and go straight to work giving you the ideal steal. One of a kind in this area.

Philly Bloke totes some terrific hair stylists and they’ve created a classy establishment in what can’t be more than 500sqft. It’s worth spending the extra money.
My first haircut was by Oswaldo. Great guy, cool client list of celebrities that he’s worked with, good haircut. It wasn’t really the style I was looking for but to Oswaldo’s credit it was a fine haircut.
I went back my next visit and booked a different stylist, Brandon, just to see what else was out there. He did a terrific job and his style was a bit more in line with mine. He knew exactly what I was going for and added his input which I gladly excepted.
I’ve since gone back to Brandon two or three more times. I don’t plan on shopping around anymore, he gets it.
I take haircuts pretty seriously and these guys do as well. This place is more expensive than it’s competitors for a reason. Don’t come here if ll you want is a Big League Cuts haircut with free beer for $ 15 – 20. This place charges more because they deliver more, simple as that.

What’s not to like? Nice atmosphere, great guys, free beer, free coffee and most important a great haircut and good value. Parking is a bit tight. More than what you would pay at a regular barber shop but it’s a much better value.

Excellent experience. Here’s why I like it:
1. Online appointment booking is awesome — great for busy people who need to fit a lot during the day.
2. Extremely clean and new place — it looked amazing inside and was very inviting. Not loud, nice music, friendly people.
3. Cory washed, cut, and styled my hair — and did a great job at it. He took the time to examine my hair and talk to me about what I was looking for and what we could do with my type of hair.
4. They have beer and coffee. Enough said.
They are getting all my hair appointments in the future.

Oswaldo cut my hair with great professionalism, spending plenty of time to get everything in order. His passion for cutting hair is apparent and the end result was even better than my high expectations had anticipated.

After looking to Unilocal reviews, I gave Philly Bloke a try. As a mom with two (now-​teenage) boys, I have been up and down the Main Line and to Philly and back trying barber shops, salons for men, and traditional salons, always feeling like there was something lacking. I have FINALLY found a place with all the right elements — Philly Bloke! The salon has a nice atmosphere, easy appointment scheduling, and most importantly, great stylists! My boys have two very different hair types, and Cory listens to what they want and gives each a great cut. Both boys have received compliments on their noticeably nicer cuts/​styling. Owner Eric has created a warm, welcoming, and relaxed environment, and he clearly knows what he’s doing. I highly recommend giving Philly Bloke a try, you will not be disappointed!

I’ve used quite a number of small high-​quality men’s barbers/​stylists in my time, particularly when I live in SoCal.
Moved around a lot over the past few years, and had a hard time finding good barbers/​stylists catering to strictly male hair. I saw some good Unilocal reviews for Philly Bloke and made an appointment on their website, very convenient.
Their location is right on the corner of the Lancaster and the 252, a very busy spot. Depending on which direction you’re coming from you may need to either make a hard right or piss off a few tailgaters.
The Philly Bloke haircut option include a consult, custom scissor cut and a wash for $ 35, which is in line for such in the area. The stylist I used, Oswaldo, has a long experience cutting both ladies and gentlemen hair, in New York. I appreciated his unhurried manner. He took his time and genuinely cares about providing a good cut.
I’ll be sticking with these guys for a while.

Finally found a place that gives a great men’s haircut. Went in for an appointment with Oswaldo, he knew exactly what to do with my hair and pulled it off almost perfectly how I wanted it. Eric also helped with some of it and both of them were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning.

Without question, Philly Bloke is the best place to go on the Main Line for a men’s haircut. Eric & his team truly care about making you look great & also listen to what you want in a cut. They take their time finding the best style for you. The atmosphere it top notch too. Great design, customer service, & fantastic online booking tool. I am 100% positive I will never get a haircut from anywhere else as long as Philly Bloke is around! This is THE place to go to look great.

Been going to Eric for almost a year and I don’t have a single complaint.
My experiences with mens haircuts are similar to previous commenters — Supercuts/​Hair Cuttery usually sucks, old school barbers only do two types of haircuts, can’t stand another hatchet job from a hot, ditzy girl at a stylist joint — I’m a busy dude, I don’t have time for any of that substandard bullshit anymore.
I wanted to find a place to get a consistently fresh haircut and Philly Bloke is it. It’s a plus that Eric and the guys are personable, friendly and genuinely funny on top of being great at their jobs.
Highly recommended.

Hands down the best hair cut experience I’ve had… just by looking at their website you get good vibes, and a sense of professionalism on behalf of the staff. Oswaldo is awesome — he cut my hair; my brother also goes here and has had both Oswaldo and Eric, both of which style hair with care and precision. For someone like myself who is extremely particular when it comes to getting a haircut, I have no worries at Philly Bloke… very cool place for sure. It is a relief to have found a new spot after losing a stylist I was going to for nearly ten years!

I have been to Eric 6 times now. Eric has transformed my hair from something that annoyed me to something that draws the attention of my friends and always receives compliments.
I have yet to have anything less than a stellar experience here. As long as Philly Bloke stays in Paoli, I will be a customer.
