We stopped in for some sushi for lunch this afternoon. As far as atmosphere goes, this place is really cute, minimalist but with a decent amount of flavor. There’s a number of calligraphy pieces hanging that are quite nice. We’re both sushi aficionados, with six trips to Japan between the two of us and American maki consisting of a decent portion of our diet. We both opted for the three roll lunch special, $ 12.95 which is pretty standard, and comes with miso and a small salad, also standard, although the miso was remarkably good. I was very impressed with the quality of the rolls I had, likely in my top five, and she seemed about as impressed. We’ll have to be back to try out the special rolls which all sounded very good to double check that first impression. Bottom line, highly recommend if you’re just looking for a quick set of rolls, but I haven’t tried anything else yet.

Came here with some friends on Saturday after deciding we wanted sushi on this hot day. Ordered everything from regular rolls and specialty rolls to some sashimi and chicken teriyaki for the kids. All in all, really great sushi for the PA burbs. And the prices were super reasonable. We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely done with this establishment. Months ago, I had ordered take out and arrived home to realize food was missing. Mistakes happen, we went to retrieve our missing food and that was that. We received an apology and were sent on our way. Fine. Certainly not an overwhelming display of customer service, but we decided to give Sushi Nami takeout another shot. Sadly, we made the mistake of not checking our bags before we left the restaurant, arrived home, and realized we were missing rock shrimp and edamame which come to a combined total of about $ 14.73 with tax. When we called to let them know we would be returning to receive our food, they asked if we were certain it was not in the bag as they had«remembered packing it». They certainly did not pack this food. Upon return we were given a whopping $ 9 for our troubles. As someone familiar with the food industry and service industry in general this horrifies me. What poor care for good customers. I will not return.

3.5 … Not a bad place but certainly not memorable. This place seems like it could be better in comparison to other average places around the way. Ingredients seemed fairly fresh, just nothing worth exclaiming about, especially at these prices. I work around here intermittently and will probably buy from here again when I’m in the area next. Will review again.

Tried the sushi lunch menu. Great value for money with big chunks of fish rather than a lot of rice served with only a tiny bit of fish. Very friendly service.

Ok place that has very nice décor. The service is well below average as the waiters and chefs just generally ignore you unless they absolutely have to bring you food/take your order but I usually don’t base rating on décor/service and more on the food. Speaking of the food, it’s nothing extraordinary but it is solid. The fish tastes fresh enough and the sushi decently made. It’s a run-of-the-mill sushi place that’s nice for a quick bite.

Gorgeous atmosphere, and amazing fresh sushi! We will definitely be coming back. Best date night we’ve had in a while! Ended up getting 30 pieces of sushi and seaweed salad for only $ 50. So worth it!

Very good sushi value. Not the most extravagant, but not the most expensive either. This is one of our(I.e., me & my wife’s) regular haunts.

This was an easy 1-star for me on a not so crowded Friday night with three sushi chefs, 3 waiters, and about 20 customers in a cozy space spread across 6 tables. Came here with my boyfriend around 7pm and was not greeted/seated promptly by the staff. When we finally ordered a seaweed salad and several rolls, it didn’t come out till 45 minutes later for a measly seaweed salad first(nothing spectacular and bland) and sushi took an hour. Now let me reiterate there are 3 sushi chefs. Our waitress never came back to check on us and only one waiter was bussing most of the tables. One couple came AFTER us and got their sushi before our pitiful seaweed salad. Just as I flagged down the waiter to ask what’s taking so long, the sushi shows up. It’s pretty basic. No presentation really. However, checking out was fairly quick. She brought it right out after we were done. They really didn’t deserve any tip. Horrible service. Diners shouldn’t wait past 40 minutes and that’s generous and that’s just for the appetizer. We should’ve walked out to be honest. Please take your friends and guests to a place that will provide an enjoyable experience for your money.

Consistently good. Had a 3-roll maki combo lunch for $ 11.95 which is a great value(comes with salad only for take out, sould and salad when you eat in). Try the crispy eggplant app — so good!

Delicious sushi and dumplings! The Tokyo Roll and the dinosaur roll are our favorites. Spring rolls are just meh. *edit* my husband says that I don’t like spring rolls so I cannot be an authority on whether or not they are meh. But he assures me I am an authority on many other things and I agree

FYI — I recently had a negative experience here with something small, but it really put me off. I’ve come here several times before for lunch and have paid with credit card and cash. Anytime I pay with credit card for their $ 8.95 lunch special, they always inform me of their $ 10 cc minimum which is actually not possible since it’s against merchant agreements with cc companies to enforce one. Most recently, I ordered this lunch special with rolls I’ve ordered before and noticed they magically charged me $ 10.02!!! I asked about it and they said it’s because I ordered a salmon + avocado + CUCUMBER roll. The extra up charge was for CUCUMBER!!! Ha, that vegetable that is super cheap and cheaper than both salmon and avocado. Now, $ 0.50 is no big deal, but on principle that they would do this nickel & dime business IS. It is a dishonest practice if a business accepts credit cards and can accept it for some, but not all transactions, and jack up a price for a regular when it doesn’t meet the business’s contracted rates with credit card company. I sadly will find another sushi place for my lunch runs and will divert any business I would have brought elsewhere!

Great spot right in the heart of Paoli. I’ve eaten here twice. The first time was a takeout order and the second was eat-in on a Saturday night. The place is always buzzing with people but don’t let that hold you up from going. Ordering online was quick and easy and it was ready at the exact time I specified. The sushi was delicious. During my pickup stop I noticed that the place is a BYOB. I made the most of this option when I visited this past Saturday night. We had the pork & wasabi dumpling appetizer(fantastic) along with the BBQ baby octopus. I would definitely order both again. The sushi options are plentiful and varied. The rice is cooked just right that it holds together but melts away in your mouth. I’ll definitely be coming back. On another note, does anyone know what happened to the sushi place in Wayne that was located by the farmers market?

The fiancée and I have been to Sushi Nami a few times, and it’s always impressive. It’s never very busy, but the food is great, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. Also, it’s BYOB, so bring a bottle and enjoy! Pro tip: there’s parking directly behind the restaurant, which you may not realize driving by.

Nice find in Paoli. The Godzilla roll is my favorite and is a great spot to quickly pickup some made to order sushi. Parking in the rear is available, and is easily accessible from Lancaster Ave.

I’ve eaten here several times and love the place. Part because I live across the street but they make really great affordable sushi. It is byo if your into that as well. I love sitting at the sushit bar and ordering more sushi than one man should. In short good atmosphere good sushi good price! Also there is parking around back.

I gave this place a shot for lunch a few days ago, and left pleasantly surprised. Three rolls with Miso soup and salad for $ 11.95 is one of the better deals around. I went with the Spicy Crab, the Spicy Tuna, and the Philly Rolls. Nothing was too spicy. In fact, I think it could have used slightly more spice. But everything I had was fresh and well made. I went basic on this trip and had no complaints. They will be in my rotation when I’m in the mood for sushi.

Wow. That’s all I can say. No, let me explain… You would probably pass by this place a hundred times & never think to look inside. The space they occupy is a corner of a building with a Starbucks on the other end, at the edge of a parking lot to the Paoli train station. Ho Hum, another boring suburban sushi place, right? Wrong! Inside, it looks like one of the fancy Center City sushi places, very nice décor, very clean. Not exactly a lot of space, and can see it getting filled up quickly if too many people come in at once. The fish & rolls were very very fresh, tasty. Presentation is excellent. Service is quick(of course, if there’s a lot of people it would slow down a bit) Prices reasonable for what you get.
