The doctors here are older and seem to have a past generation bedside manner. I always feel talked over and not truly listened to as the Mom. I do feel like my son gets good care, especially from Dr. Harkness. Dr. Townend himself has a very loud voice and doesn’t speak directly to the parent. Only directs questions to your child which is very awkward. I think it’s time for him to retire. He seems slightly forgetful during the appt, once rechecking my child’s tongue three times in the same appt because he didn’t remember doing it. My biggest complaint is that their weighing scales are different from room to room. This becomes a major issue when dealing with a baby struggling to gain weight. During one visit they had me weigh my 3 week old in EVERYROOM. And the scales were all 3 – 5 ounces different from each other. This practice needs digital, calibrated, scales… it is really ridiculous that the scales have never been upgraded and that all of the employees know that they are not calibrated.
