We thoroughly loved finding this little gem while staying in Paonia. Very unique in its set up, we enjoyed great food and service. We had the Mediterranean platter, Avalanche goat cheeses, Eames wine and the salmon spread. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy, warm and friendly. It is a local hangout and you get to meet many of Paonia’s friendly folk.

We planned to eat at another establishment while driving through area, but both option a and option b were closed. We passed this place and saw a sign outside which read«tapas»(music to my ears) and they were open(Sunday afternoon). What an awesome spot. I ordered the grass fed beef burger on a brioche roll, chose cheddar for the cheese option and added fried onions and mushrooms. Hands down one of the best burgers I ever had! Moist, flavorful, and the brioche roll was the perfect vehicle. The burger came with a side of apple/jicama/carrot slaw(perfect crunch and sweetness). My boyfriend had the small dish fish tacos(which were by no means«small»). Coin style margarita and mojitos were on menu, but given their current business restructure can’t be served(just yet). We finished with a buttery rhubarb/strawberry tart served with vanilla bean ice cream. Highly recommend this place– really glad the«go to» spots were closed– and given we had no Unilocal service in the area– dually psyched we came across this place!

I have been to this place twice. And have always sat at the little tables in the alley. It’s so cute! This particular time I got a smoothie with bunch of greens and coconut water, and I got a breakfast sandwich(fried egg, cheese, avo). The smoothie was pretty good, I was sick so I thought it would be a good choice but I probably should have gotten something hot. My bad, not theirs. The sandwich was great though. I had it on some multigrain bread, and it was some of the most delicious bread I’ve had. The cheese was nice and melty, plus egg and avo… SOGOOD! So I asked for some hot sauce and the lady brought out some in a small dish so I have no idea what it was called but it was bright orange in color. This was a delicious addition to an already delicious sandwich. The only thing is. this is Paonia so everything is a bit slower here. Our order took a skip and a beat to get to us, but we weren’t in a huge rush. Just note that if you’re passing by, allot an hour to stop and eat.

This is pretty much the coziest spot in town, as well the cleanest, best place to get yourself some quality food in Paonia. All their drinks are awesome, the sandwiches are super delicious, pizza! Beautifully crafted 12 inch pizza, and the creators of the Paonia Fireworks hot sauce and more! So many wonderful things to experience inside this is beautiful little bistro!
