People watchers, dawn your spectacles. You are about to witness some of the most true-to-life hippies in all their glory. Really though, this place is amazing! They carry a spectrum of herbs(I said herbs, not herb) and spices, bulk oils, dry goods, fresh produce, and the like. Many of the fruits and vegetables are grown and harvested on the premises or within a 5 mile radius of it. One of the first things you’ll notice is it’s on a farm. the second thing you’ll notice is the large green-house built onto the west side of the building. In it you’ll find growing what ends up on the shelves and in the meals. It doesn’t get any fresher than that! Be sure to come by on Sunday for their buffet by donation. Proceeds go to support local, organic coops, so be generous. The food is like nothing you’ll ever sample at another restaurant and is like«La comeda de los dios». Even if you have to go far out of your way to get here, I’m tellin’ ya, you must experience it!

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Denver, CO
We took the scenic route back to Denver. On the way, my friend was talking about Paonia and this fresh produce trading post out there. We detoured a bit through the city and arrived at this trading post situation near the train tracks. This old-timey place is part grocery store, part vegetarian restaurant. It’s fascinating to me to find this place in the middle of nowhere. They have fresh produce, frozen goods, maple syrup, kombucha, sweets, and a vast herb collection. The latter was the most impressive to see. I know friends that would love to visit this place. They also make their own carob treats like a carob almond bar or an Adventure Bar featuring carob, oats, ginger, honey and more. If you’re coming this way and need some good food, stop here.
