Bought siding and windows a few months back and windows came in sooner than expected. Installers were very friendly and cleaned everything up like new. Siding crew was very efficient and knowledgeable as well. Highly recommend. Great products, fair price and easy to work with.

We just purchased our house in December 2014. Prior to that, we rented it for a little over a year. The previous owner had a contractor fix the roof and siding back in May 2014 while we were renting the house. The siding job was done very poorly. We contacted the previous owner and he said that Monarch had done the work and suggested we call them to see if it was still under warranty. We contacted Monarch and they said they wouldn’t repair it. Shortly after getting off the phone with them, I received a call from Tom Galgerud, the owner of Monarch Siding, who informed me that the work had never been paid for and that if somebody didn’t pay for it he would put a lien on the house. I informed he that we couldn’t do that because the payment was owed from the previous owner and if he tried to put a lien on the house, we would sue him. Tom proceeded to say that he would come down to my house after work and handle this man to man, which I interpret as a threat of violence. I recommend caution when dealing with this company. Tom Galgerud seems to have a very volatile personality.

Great company and great work. We are very satisfied with the word done on our home. Monarch even got our insurance company to pay more than they originally had paid out(about $ 5,000 more). They were great advocates for us. The only complaint we have is that they took forever to bill us and then didn’t cash checks quickly so too much money sat around in my checking account for too long.

Now the guy gets back to me since I posted this and he tells me he wouldn’t come out because he didn’t get to do my roof at the same time. Problem is, my roof was fine. I emailed him the estimate from the insurance company. He knew, or should have known, there was no roof damage. So, I stand by my original complaint. He won’t do repairs as it isn’t worth his time(and this was a $ 1700 job). His service stinks, his communication is non existent and his products are shoddy(that is another complaint all together!).
