The place is closed it was a decent place for a while till the dirt bags found out about it then it went to shit pretty quick fighting drugs whores you name it then finally ran into the ground from poor management gambling shootings stabbings etc what a shame just like most dirt bag bars in paradise

Not many choices in paradise. I’m not a sports bar person either. I gave them four stars because they’re clean and friendly and not shady. There’s not another bar in paradise that has those three things going for it. They only have about six beers on tap and they’re typically not that exciting (coors, bud, bud light, pale, Sierra seasonal) but paradise doesn’t have a big craft beer crowd, so I get that they’re catering to what sells. Definitely where you want to go in paradise in terms of bars.

Canteena is bomb !!! Nachos are amazing (I’m going there again tonight to get sum) and their rolled tacos (taquitos) both hella good. Chill bar vibe, juke box machine, friendly staff n people. Yummy.

I really love the Canteena. I only gave it four stars because it is a small place with a limited menu and is just down to earth. It is not someplace you would take somene not comfortable in a sports bar that is more like the TV show Cheers than some over priced yuppy place. At the same time, people of alll types are welcomed and made at home if they have a decent attitude. Professionals, laborers, unemployed, disabled, rich people, poor people, all kinds, including some people coming in who were obviously dealing with some personal emotional issues and they were treated with respect and concern. I’ve alos seen absolute jerks come in, get stupid, act out and blame their reception on other people’s issues, not their own behavior. It is sad that someone will trash a place and not take responsibility for their own actions.

Stars tell the story

Every time I go to this establishment I am greeted instantly. The two guys who run the bar (bald dudes) are so welcoming. There is wonderful music and just a nice place to come in and hang out. Drinks are not pricey at all. Keep up the good work guys and thanks for the alcohol :)

I thought I found a great spot to have a snack and a drink but found sad dissatisfaction my second visit. The bartender was so tweaked out she cleaned our table of two orders of food and drinks when not one but two people told her we were stepping out for a smoke. What killed me the most is she said we were gone 45 minutes (since when does it take 45 minutes to smoke a cigarette? ???) and that how could she remember when it was busy (there was only about a dozen people– since when is that busy? ??? The only saving grace for the place is that the owner was kind enough to replace our stuff. The cook said rudely that we were just trying free food and we were very specific on how much of both orders were left. I feel bad for the owner… he was kind. But they definitely need to drug test employees because they were high and rude.

This is the best place to hang out in Paradise. The crowd is awesome, much better than all the other places in P Town– which is what… 3 other spots? ha
The only thing missing on Wednesday night Dollar night is Larry the Karaōke king. Back when Larry was there on Wednesday nights for dollar night, it was FAR MOST the best place to go, it was so much fun. Now, it’s just nice.

I was passing by on a warm fall day and decided to stop in. Great Margarita at a great price.

This is the best and maybe the only place in Paradise to watch the UFC fights. If you can get there early it is great, food and beer is very reasonable.
