Mendon’s Nursery

I really like mendons. I have been going there with my mom since I was a kid. It is so beautiful there. They have a huge selection of plants ranging from cacti, to palms, to garden tomatoes in the springs. They have seeds, lawn and garden ornaments, and pretty much anything you could ever need for your yard or garden. They are a bit expensive, but worth the price.

Mendon’s is one of the greatest nurseries in California! You are fortunate if you live close enough to choose among their beautiful, healthy, regionally suited plants. Yes, their selection is excellent !! and carefully chosen for our local micro-​climates. They are an important resource in our area, and I love making my choices there.
These folks know so much about plants! The kind, busy staff are unfailingly helpful, courteous, willing and deeply knowledgeable, or they will find the person who knows about that! I love going there, learning from the staff and the displays, and bringing home sturdy beauties for our garden! They carry a great selection of soil amendments, too, including the wonderful Dr. Earth organic fertilizers and boosters, which I find work really well, and nourish the soil so that plants thrive. I love learning about gardening and Mendon’s is one of my favorite resources. Why would I buy stressed-​out, struggling, one-​size-​fits-​all plants from a big box store when I can go to Mendon’s and get healthy beautiful nursery stock that grows so well here and gives me much more bang for my buck!!!

The selection is fantastic but the customer service needs to be better, much better.

I love this place… and I have a rough time getting out of here with just one thing. Everything looks healthy, the staff is knowledgeable, and there is quite a variety.

This is a great place. A bit more expensive than most places you’ll go, but their plants a healthy, advice is sounds, and service is phenomenal! A great place to go to grab that extra thing for the garden, or a special widget you can’t find at a hardware store.

A great place to buy plants, trees or just general landscaping needs. The selection is incredible. And they offer friendly, free advice on any plant question you may have (master gardeners) The nursery is clean, well organized and everything is clearly labeled. It’s hard not to go crazy buying everything in sight in spring when all their flowers & bulbs are blooming! A truly beautiful place just to walk around and admire all the flora. And they do guarantee to replace their plants if they fail to thrive. (never had that problem so far) A great way to spend a Saturday. (Not open on Sundays though)
