We take our dog here all the time. It is a wonderful place to get dogs socialized with each other and also they have a water faucet for the dogs. We have never had a problem at the dog park when we go and our dog Alyse loves it. So if anyone is reading this I’m sure you have met Alyse before :)

Super cool dog park! This is a hidden(and I do mean hidden) gem for dog lovers! They have segregated large and small dog play areas that are nice and shady. I would prefer grass in the gated park but then I’m very picky. It is a drive for us, but we will be sure to stop by whenever we are in the neighborhood.

Fantastic park hidden in the pines of Paradise! Very clean, spacious, fenced dog park with lots of seating, shade, and running water. It was a little hard to find, as my GPS tried to take me down Moore Road from Skyway, but that’s no longer a thru road. Had to take a dirt road from Clark to get there, but I’m sure there’s a better route my GPS doesn’t know yet.

Moore dog park is a wonderful little fenced dog park. It’s got double gates to prevent man’s best friend from escaping. There is a tiny water fountain for fido and comfy benches for people. I advise dark clothes, the place is all dirt and trees and dogs will jump on you, if any are there. Be prepared to get a little mud on your pants. Occasionally I end up with some random small dog on my lap, with no clue who owns it. Most of the time when we go there are only a few dogs there, or there are none. Hang around, people come and go fairly regularly, and while the place is virtually never packed. We sit around waiting for someone with a party starter dog like a border collie. They seem to be seperating a section, but it was not open yet. Not sure what it’s for yet– smaller vs big dogs, or shy dogs, or ??? ************************************************************************** Notes to new people– I’ve seen some arguements at this park. Although I endeavor never to be involved, most of the drama is over a few avoidable issues. Suggestions for keeping the park fun & drama free: 1. Don’t open both gates at once, and if someone else is between the two gates, wait for them to clear out. When people are scared their dogs will escape it ruins everyone’s fun park buzz. Seems like 90% of the arguements are over this. There is a reason it’s double gated, use it properly. All the dogs will rush the fence when you first arrive, don’t be part of letting someone’s dog escape. 2. Don’t bring your picnic lunch inside. People’s dogs are off leash, it’s a dog park, dogs will try to steal your food. The fun of the dog park is to have dogs play with other dogs– not only will that not happen if they are busy begging for food, about half of the regular attenders will leash up and leave if you do that, and you’ll probably take a few dirty looks. 3. If you are training your dog & using treats, ask before handing any to another person’s dogs. They will beg or try and steal from your treat bag. Some dogs have allergy issues or strict diets, other people just don’t want treats handed to their dog without the dog offering a sit or a trick first. 4. Ideally you have spayed/neutered pets, fully vaccinated, flea free. Unneutered dogs can act more aggressive at the park, and in heat females cause a variety of interesting problems. My dog included, he gets all hump-happy even though he’s fixed. We end up having to leave the park everytime someone brings a dog in heat. Plenty of people bring unneutered males, so you definitely risk an unwanted litter if you own the female. We don’t want to share kennel cough or fleas, so take the appropriate precausions. Lastly have fun, and chat up other dog owners. It’s such a great place to get to know other people in the community. Hope to see you there!
