I stop in the market often! The staff is very friendly and helpful! There is a wide variety of products available! I highly recommend!

I grew up just down the block from Stratton’s Market. In fact, the Stratton family lived near me and some of their kids were around my age. So I am driving by today and realize I need some stamps. I go in, ask for 10 stamps and the guy says $ 6.00. What! The store was resold to another family and I will never ever return. I didn’t even think that was legal. What a shame. The current people will apparently do anything to make an extra buck. Greedy and tasteless. Ugh.

Stratton’s Market! Stratton’s Market isn’t just a market, it’s an experience. They have some things you’d expect to find in a basic grocery market as well as some other things you might not expect. You’ll never cease to find interesting or entertaining things each time you go. It’s a surprise every time. One visit you might find an unopened, clear, unlabeled bag of some sort of baking mix missing it’s outside box with«GOOD» written in permanent marker right on the bag sitting on a shelf by itself waiting to be sold. Another visit, the cashier might tell you his story about how he recently randomly found himself in this small town and how he got a job working there and how he thought it was weird(and you do too). To be honest, I don’t come here to do my main grocery shopping(candy and/or soft drinks have been my usual fare here)… and it’s 100% better to go in with a witty friend you can commentate on your observations with. It looks run down, and I suppose it’s been around forever, but it adds to the good old classic Paradise charm. It’s definitely a place where if you’re in Paradise, you might as well really experience Paradise and step into Stratton’s to buy whatever candy you’ve never tried before to make the trip even more memorable. For me, it was Chicko-Sticks. My first experience at Stratton’s also lent itself to my first experience eating a Chicko Stick(a peanut butter crunchy candy– just in case I’m not the only one who has/had no idea what they are). So if you’ve never been, by all means, take a stroll/drive to the corner of Nunneley and Sawmill, support a small town local store, and create a few memories.
