This place is conveniently located near the lobby of The Venetian. In my opinion, that’s about all The Bourbon Room has going for it. I’ve been several times and the service has always been INCREDIBLY slow. The drinks are nothing special. The ambiance(if you can call it that) is confused. When I think bourbon room, I think of an intimate space with wood, leather, and rich furnishings. This place has 80s music blaring from TVs on the wall. There was a guy in a blonde mullet wig walking around one night I was there. It’s all a bit confused and underwhelming. Not my favorite.

This place is like Walmart drunk. You don’t know where to look because there’s something happening everywhere! skirts flying up, girls falling down, people dancing on the furniture – lots of laughter. Good music but horrible HORRIBLE service from cocktail waitresses.

While waiting on our table at the Yardbird Restaurant at the Venetian Hotel we popped in the Bourbon Room. Nothing much going on but the bartender was super nice. Played a little video poker, the pay tables were average for bartops on the strip. Which is isn’t saying much. Overall seems like a nice place to hangout.

This review is based on limited criteria so keep that in mind. We spent a week in Las Vegas which frankly, is a little much for the average human being. If you aren’t rich or a supermodel, you may find the nightclub scene a little difficult to enjoy. We had a friend that bartends at one of the biggest clubs in town so we had a guaranteed in but after we saw the endless lines of spray tans, fake boobs, and bodybuilders wearing smeadium t-shirts from gap kids stretched across their bodies, we decided that it wasn’t for us. So we wandered around and hit this place up. There was a decent little crowd and we walked right in. Now, by Vegas standards this was not the A list crowd and probably not the B list either. This was an older crowd, 30s-40s but everyone was having fun. There was some sort of medical convention going on so there were two drunk idiots still wearing their conference badges in what I assume was an effort to attract a woman seeing as they had no chance of doing so otherwise based on their moronic behavior. One stumbled across the dance floor all night attacking every woman who wasn’t within three feet of a man. He kept bumping into us and spilling his drink. So maybe the bar could improve on the security end of things to deal with that type of stuff, but I digress. It took a few minutes to get a drink but the bartender was engaged and doing his best to take care of everyone. Now let’s talk about the drinks. Vegas prices apply here just like everywhere in Las Vegas. A Corona and a double shot of Crown was $ 30.00. But here’s the thing, that double shot was a full rocks glass without any ice! By my estimate, it was about 4 – 5 shots worth easily. That’s what the lady had and I won’t get into the aftermath but we didn’t need to get another drink after that one. I got myself a single shot of Hennessey after my light beer in an effort to defend my manhood to my hard drinking date and it was the same serving size at $ 16.00. I don’t know if this was typical, but it was a good deal by my standards. The music was great 80’s fare which kept everyone dancing. We had fun without any of the nightclub hassles or games. We were dressed up but you could easily stroll in wearing shorts, flip-flops, and your finest«What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas» T-shirt that you picked up at the local gift shop or pharmacy along with your blistex, pedialite for hangovers, condoms and selfie stick. There were no bouncers to critique your fashion choices before you are granted entrance. There are several places like this in and out of the hotels. It’s a nice alternative to the clubs if you aren’t trying to keep up with the Joneses… or the Kardashians.

The name here is misleading… If you’re looking for a place to lounge and enjoy bourbon in the traditional manner. this is not the place. It’s more of a loud, open, rock-infused bar with a dance floor and big screen. My old-fashioned was not made well at all and the bourbon & whiskey choices were lacking big time. That being said, I can’t fault a place just because I mistook it for something else based on their namesake but being someone who enjoys bourbon, this was far from my type of spot. The Bourbon Room is more of a Rum-and-coke Room if anything.

The bartender dan, was terrible… too bad one employee can ruin the experience for so many guests. We used to go there every trip since we stay at the Venetian & Palazzo on a regular basis. Glad the Hotel is planning to replace it, hopefully they will replace that bartender! He definitely does a disservice to the Venetian.

The bourbon room, located in the Venetian, is a rock out good time. Big stage that the rocker girls put on a short show every 40 minutes or so. Playing 80’s Rock that is fun and gets the crowd going. The host is a funny wild maniac that keeps the crowd going. No cover, seats, and waitress taking drink orders and a large bar. The only disappointment were the specialty cocktails. They were way to sweet and and the bourbon choices didn’t go well. Even if rock is not your thing. Stop in for a moment for good time!

This place is the SPOT for some good strong drinks and 80’s throwbacks! During the day this place is not too busy which is nice because you can find a spot to sit. But at night this place gets PACKED to the MAX and the wildness of Vegas comes alive in here. First day here, I got 3 drinks and I was on cloud 9 for the next 3 hours or so. Came back that night and the place was HOT! There were wall to wall people and loud music blasting while a dance contest was going on. It was one of the most strangest and oddest dance contests I had ever seen. There were 3 or 4 girls just getting down and dirty on the dance floor which meant lots of pictures being taken as well. This dance contest eventually turned into a spectacle of sorts! The bartenders here are super cool! They now how to make quality drinks and treat you like a person instead of a tip jar. This place keeps it 80’s all the time. In being born in the early 80’s I appreciate that. Just be aware of the other patrons, they are the true characters. People dress up and come in ready to party like it’s 1984! Big hair, mohawks and more. #goodtimes #madonna #spinthatjourneyrecordagain

This is a great spot to enjoy a cocktail in the afternoon– either in the comfy chairs or while playing black jack at the bar. The music videos play all day. We came back for the evening hours and it’s really a fun crowd. Yes, the MC is a bit ridiculous, but he did get people involved, and I think that’s the point. The drinks are spendy, but generous. I don’t recommend ordering specialty cocktails here– both the Manhattan and the Mint Julep weren’t exactly fabulous. Stick to something a bit more standard.

Awesome night! Eighties music all night long with video. The people were probably 35 — 50’s age range. Lots of dancing and people in good spirits!

Bourbon Room is a good time-I went mid-afternoon on a recent Saturday and it was empty, but I noticed it was more crowded when I was nearby in the evening. A cool atmosphere-an 80’s themed rock music and music video loop were playing and the workers were dressed in a similar mode. Full-sized drinks for sure, including the shot of Bulleit Rye in the Bullet Proof(a Newcastle Brown Ale alongside). Check the place out-a unique bar scene/spot for sure.

We had an absolute BALL in here after an hour at Tao where we were definitely out of place with the 20-somethings. I guess 80s music is more our style. My friends were lured in by the blaring music which we were familiar with and lucky for us, there was a table available so we sat down. Shots are $ 18 but they are HUGE — equal to 2 shots per order so I thought the price was okay. On a Friday night, it was incredibly happening. We got to dance — tons of strangers just came up to ask us – so just get up and do it! By 3.30am, it was still a crazy party in there, but we were ready to roll up to our rooms. Servers are attentive even though the place is packed and we had an absolute blast. This is definitely the spot if you like 80s music and don’t want to stand in line to get into a nightclub. Would come back here again in a heartbeat!

This is the place to go if you; A– like 80’s music and might want to hit the dance floor, B– like a crowd in their 30’s and up, C– don’t want to stand in a line for 45 plus minutes, D– don’t want to pay $ 50 on a cover charge just to get in. My friends and I hit the Bourbon Room on a Saturday night and had a great time. The drinks are a bit pricey but for Vegas not out of this world. You aren’t paying a cover so that makes the Bourbon room probably a little cheeper than most places in Vegas. The show with the 80’s guy in the Dynomo costume from Arnold’s The Running Man is nothing special and the dance the waitresses do is also weak but it breaks up the music and doesn’t happen too often to bother you. We all agreed that it was a fun time and will be back next March!

We heard about this bar from my husband’s colleagues and decided to pop in Saturday night around 9. We were stumbling around a bit trying to find it and thankfully there was Mike with his megaphone, directing people where to go. We had a large group of 10 people and were very easily about to grab a spot and keep it all night. The décor is industrial but really you’re there for the music videos and entertainment. I had read reviews before coming and so was prepared for the drink prices. What people don’t mention is that they have Bartles & Jaymes! For $ 6! Granted earlier that day I bought a four pack for $ 5 but still! Yuuuum! They’re a whopping 3.2% percent so you’re not getting any buzz from them, but they’re delicious and cheap! We stayed from 9pm-1am and our bill for four people was only $ 145. Not bad! Our first server was amazing and constantly checked on us. We never had a wait for drinks, even when she was up on the stage dancing. She unfortunately left our section near the end of the night and we were stuck with a slow, turbo grumpy lady. That was quite the bummer. We had long drink waits and she was frowny. Thankfully this was at the end of our night. Overall, our group was unanimous that this was our favorite stop during our trip. The atmosphere was great and we could sing along and dance. We won’t hesitate to be back!

The bartenders, once you get past the themed appearance are smooth and professional. The selection of bourbon is expansive but not comprehensive. There’s a well curated stock of middle to upper shelf labels that will probably meet your preferences. They also pour premium vodkas, tequilas and other spirits. A limited however thoughtfully put together choice of craft beers is available. Beer is not offered on tap. Prices are reasonable for the generous and premium pours. If you’re ordering brands considered top shelf in many places there’s a cost associated with that. I found it to be very fair. The 80’s rock theme is played out on big screens and a camera was taking live shots of dancing guests. The over the top costumed MC added a little humor and is very personable. Some choreographed dancers do their famkly friendly part along an elevated area at the back of the room. The place was spotlessly clean and there are severs comfortable areas to sit, stand, dance and converse. I’d go back for a return visit. It was fun.

This is the bar that is associated with the musical Rock of Ages that is showing at the Venetian hotel. After the show, they will do a live web cast with Marvelous Mike and the dancing waitstaff. If you are a child of the 80’s, you will love this place because that’s all that they play. Just a warning, this is on the Strip and it’s expensive as hell for the drinks(just like most of the other bars on The Strip). Stop by here and have some fun and a drink and re-live the 80’s!

Raucher willkommen …

Was given some drink coupons prior to the Rock of Ages show… So we decided to check this place out and use them. Very friendly staff and great bourbon infused drinks. Fantastic music :) We’d definitely come back and hang out with friends here.

What a fun place this is! We came here on a whim our first night in Vegas and we loved it so much that we subsequently pre-gamed here every night following. This place is SiriusXM’s HairNation channel in the flesh. Hairband music/videos in addition to stiff cocktails and fantastic servers. Never did we have to search for a refill — our servers were always readily available for us and would make their rounds frequently. They don’t like it when people are thirsty at the Bourbon Room! Special shout-out to Brandon(DJ/Emcee) who kept the party going with choreographed performances by the waitstaff and fun 80’s games. I never knew that my man was so skilled at Rubik’s Cube… :)

I have mixed feelings about The Bourbon Room. On one hand, it’s a good option if you want to grab drinks in a casual environment without worrying about lines or cover. However, it doesn’t really serve as a replacement for the club and it’s definitely lacking the lounge atmosphere. Despite not fitting into one specific category, the Bourbon Room still manages to draw a crowd. I think it’s a combination of the loud 80s music videos, strong drinks and easy accessibility from the casino floor. The Bourbon Room definitely caters to a specific niche market and more specifically fans of 80s music. As a result, the crowd reflects this with many patrons in the 30s and 40s. I found crowd to be carefree and non-judgmental. Unlike the club, people weren’t there to be seen or to pick-up. They were just there to relax and have fun.‘ Another thing I liked about the Bourbon Room was its energy. They have an emcee/host who jokes around, introduces songs and gets guests involved in contests in exchange for free drinks or show tickets. It can be extremely entertaining or also annoying depending on your mood. Overall, it’s not a bad place to grab a drink for a more low-key night. If you’re staying at the Venetian or Palazzo, I doubt you’ll miss it.
