Paramount Drive In Theaters

Great new addition to the nostalgia of drive in theaters! I feel like this one hasn’t been discovered yet since its not as packed as Vineland. But they are equally great.
There’s two screens and they play two movies. At $ 9.50 for two movies it’s a great deal. Sometimes sitting in a car makes you a bit stiff but you can always pull out the lawn chairs. It may get cold outside though.
The concession stand is fast and the food is good for concession. Prices are skyrocketed.

My family has attended this drive in several times and we are likely to return. In general, the staff is polite and the fellow patrons are well mannered too. It feels like a safe place to be with your kids. However, last Sunday night, the women’s restroom needed help. There were stalls taped off with caution tape. The ones that were working were clogged with paper. I hope that this is fixed up because restrooms are important when you go places with your kids.

We just moved to Long Beach and I decided to take my family to this drive-​in last weekend and had a blast!!! Every spot is perfect because of the pavement slant. SUVs park towards middle-​back to help prevent blocking smaller cars, but even in an SUV we had a perfect view! My kids LOVED it there! We will be back every month a new kids movies releases!!!

Everything was great except for the 45 minute wait for popcorn candy and a slurpie (literally) –_​– missed most of the first movie

Overall this has been a great experience. I watched Star Wars The Force Awakens last Saturday and I have to say this is the most comfortable I have been at the theaters. I actually almost fell asleep a few times and I am a light sleeper.
Pros:
–You can recline your seats
–You can adjust the volume of the movies
— You can talk to the people you come with without disturbing other people. The benefit of having your own sound is that it drowns out most of the sound outside
— No one has the ability to kick your seat
–You can bring your own snacks and even beer I don’t think they regulate that. Just smoking and weed
Cons
— Noisy families (kids)or people without common sense. However I didn’t really experience that probably 3 times I heard noisy kids but then the movie drowned it out and one person who had their headlights on for 1 – 2 minutes but I know it could get worse.
— It can get cold so bring a blanket. Your windows might fog up so bring a towel
— Viewing is limited to 3 people in a van, sedan, or SUV. If you bring multiple people I would suggest getting chairs or reverse park your truck
Tip for management to make things a bit better. I believe you should have staff go over the rules with people there are quite a few people who cant read or they lack common sense. Prevention is better than treatment right. Another thing is to have a designated area for families.

This drive in was perfect. The location and the level of people there really made this a nice place to go to from time to time. It wasn’t crowded and the screens are huge and there were no issues with the sound or picture. I really enjoyed myself and my girlfriend and will definitely be going back

This place is a hedden gem, lots of parking, great view and the bathrooms are decent. The lady even told us we can stay to watch the next movie after ours was over. That was awesome! My boyfriend and i made and brought our own food and we’ll definitely be back.

i haven’t been to a drive-​in since i was a kid and jurassic park had just come out. it was such a pleasant surprise to discover this place. took a date here and caught a double feature, i absolutely loved it. all of the spots are on a slope, so every spot is great, the sound is killer, the price of admission is cheap, and the bathrooms are super clean. there’s no downside to the paramount. 5 stars, i don’t even want to see a movie in a regular theater from now on.

Looking for a cliché date at the movies? You found it. I love the place. It gets super packed on weekends, so arrive 1 hour in advance. Ah and get jumping cables if you’re like me, watching 2 movies and forgetting to start the engine once in a while.

I’ve always wanted to go to the drive in, so I was thrilled when the Paramount Drive In re-​opened, and showing NEW movies. Other drive ins have popped up around the city, but mostly showing older /​classic movies that I’ve already seen, and only operating on certain «special» nights (thus selling out). So my bf and I loaded the convertible up with drinks and snacks and made the journey down to Paramount (a solid 45 minute drive for us without traffic) for the X: Men /​Godzilla double feature (a steal at $ 9 each for both movies).
The show started at 8 pm and we showed up around 7:45 pm and had our pick of spots. We chose the front row, center and had a perfectly unobstructed view. The spots are tilted up, so I think that any spot would be okay for viewing (per the drive in rules, SUV’s have to go to the back to prevent blockage of other people).
There were some families around us that brought folding chairs and hung out in front of their car. We watched the first movie with the top down, and put it up between movies since it got a bit chilly (proper etiquette to not put it up during a movie!). The sound powers through the FM radio and is good as the speakers in your car are. I loved having our own little space for food and drinks and felt like we could chat without disturbing the people around us.
We did pick up some snacks at the concession stand although we brought our own, since we wanted to support the venue (I really hope it stays open!). The nachos were crazy. definitely get bang for your buck there. and the carnitas taco was not bad. The pizza is supposed to be awesome but I already had pizza twice that week. I’ll definitely try it next time!
Great experience, no complaints! I only wish it was closer!
Tip: Wash your windshield before coming!

I was so happy when a friend (justloco) told me about the paramount Drive-​in opening up I had to check it out. I grew-​up going to the Torrance drive-​in and wanted my kids to have the same experience of going to the drive-​in. I just wish they had a play ground. But over all I give it 5 silver screens

My parents used to take me as kid, took my daughter’s and wife tonight to go see Inside out and they had a blast they fell asleep and got to enjoy the next movie with the wife. I am so glad this drive inn reopened bring you beach chairs and be outside it’s a beautiful thing to do with the family, well worth it.

This was such a great evening out with the family. Screen and sound was fantastic. The sound was better than being in a theatre. We will absolutely be back this summer.

Love this place but I just hope people watching moving will have some commoner sense to turn of the headlight while we watching the movie… And fyi lots of people smoke weed which they good do something for that cause I have year old child and I really don’t like how it’s smell too. People smoke weed while they have kids in the car. That makes me feel so angry one day I might call cops on them just to teach a lesson not go the next to kids. What ever kids seen from parents that what they would do to saddddd

m arty .i been to the paramount drive several times and enjoyed them all. but tonight it was a night mare went to see two of my favorite actor kevin hart and liam neeson .both movies were on point. but i was extracted at time cause the some so call parents was allowing their kids to run around other people cars like roches and also sitting on the bumper of my car .why why why .the so called security was wack. i felt as though they should have given my money back

Not bad at all. Was very happy that they re-​opened this drive in since I like them (drive-​in movie theaters are very comfortable & convenient if you have kids!). We usually went all the way to the one in the city of industry which is kinda far. I didn’t notice anyone smoking any substances and not even many cigarette smokers, as the previous reviewer noted. It’s actually way more organized and monitored than the one in the city of industry. The only thing is that there are only 2 screens and the movie selection is limited. Hopefully they are planning on expanding! :)

My first time at a real outdoor movie theater, I’ve been to the groupon ones on the lawn, but this is old school. Not like I’d even understand what that truely meant at my age. But all in all it was a great experience.
The concession prices were pretty reasonable, but it easier to bring in your own food.
There were a lot of people smoking cigarettes and other substances, something to keep in mind if you mind that.
I predict this place is going to get really busy in the upcoming months once the word get out.
