I’ve been here several times now and always order a chokomil(it’s my favorite). Also I like the tacos de papa dorados, it comes with three tacos for a cheap price. The tacos are good but my complain is that there is a lil bit of amount of papa inside. Wish they could put a bit more. I tasted the meat de tinga alone and it does taste a bit salty. This place is good but not that great.

The food is very good, great Mexican cultural environment, amazing cooks who truly care about customer satisfaction. We’ll definitely drive another half hour to come here again.

In my search for the best tortas ahogadas I found this place. Their tomato sauce(non spicy one) is the best I have tried so far, as for the torta itself, is pretty good. I haven’t try any of their other traditional dishes but will go back to do so. nonetheless def. recommend them! Customer service has been great too.

Reached out to Pika Tortas to cater a small gathering at my house for NYE on very short notice. Not only were they extremely accommodating but the barbacoa was A+++ AMAZING!!! Will definitely be coming back to try other items on their menu and will absolutely refer my family and friends. Thanks again.

If you enjoy delicious Mexican food from Guadalajara, look no further. I’ve been here at least a handful of times. The tortas are delicious! If you like chili in your food then ask for the spicy salsa. Tacos dorados de frijoles or papa are a great compliment to the spicy torta. Im not finished… The carne en su jugo will make you want to keep reordering. I liked it so much i ordered for a party of 10. If you are feeling guilty after you are done eating, get a freshly made juice to go! One of my favorite spots and it is very affordable.

So today I decided to stop by for brunch at Pika, I was in the area so I thought why not. This was my first time being here and I had such a great experience. The people working there are really nice and attentive, they made sure I was taken care of. I ordered tacos de barbacoa and oh my gosh they were sooo good! BEST barbacoa ever!!! :D So if you’re looking for a great place to eat and want a taste of authentic food from Mexico, go here. P. S they have cable you can watch the fights here and have a few drinks with friends :p

Disappointed in the food here. Came on a Sunday afternoon not busy at all. Cashier was very polite. When to get some soda. the Dr. Pepper was out. Brown water flowed out. I ordered menudo(Sunday dish) that tasted like tomato soup. It was very thick & bland. I’ll have to Chiva Loca.

Was enjoying my food until this came up on my spoon luckily I saw it or would have ate it. It’s a shame because I wanted to eat but this made me lose my appetite.

Tortas ahogada was the best I’ve had. The reason for the four stars is because the sopes were not all that. The place could do something about cleanliness.

Their food is really good! I order from there all the time for our business. We really like their grilled chicken plate with rice, beans and Guacamole!

I’ve tried this about a year ago, the taste of the salsa was good but not great the meat was really tender and good but the thing thy bothered me the most was the bread it was so hard like literally it would of been better with soft bread, in Guadalajara the bread is never that way.

Good attempt. but definitely not going back. Tried the tortas ahogadas and tacos dorados. The tacos were OK, a bit on the small side. This place doesn’t use the traditional torta ahogada bread, they use a softer kind(almost like french roll). Upon ordering, the guy at the kitchen sprayed the bread with water then warmed up in the over(kindda strange). Meat was on the salty side but salsa was decent. Price was reasonable(2 tortas, 2 tacos dorados and 1 soda for about $ 17). I would rather skip this one and drive to our usual place at santa ana.

Very good tacos de barbacoa! Reminded me of Guadalajara! They’re bigger than I thought and ended up eating 2⁄3 tacos I ordered. The Tortas ahogadas look pretty good and big, but I didn’t have one this time around. They have a little sauce bar for the food. Also, they don’t have public bathrooms; I’m not sure if it’s okay for customers though.

Came in before heading to a soccer game it feels almost as if I’m in my grandmas house with the music playing and the employees being very friendly. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area

I hadn’t had torta ahogada in a while. I just moved so k was exited to try a new place. Sad to say I was dissapointed. The meat was tasteless the sauce wasn’t too good. I tried to get something else and it was just as bad. I rather make the drive to my original spot.

My favorite place for Sunday breakfast with family! we are there every weekend… the Cashier and the cooks are always friendly and making sure you are ok with everything. Let me tell you that the customer service they provide makes you feel welcomed. I have recommended this place to family and friends, they are now also frequent customers here… The food is terrific! Our favorites are Tacos de Barbacoa, Tacos Dorados, and of course the Torta Ahogada! Desserts, Carnitas, Smothies, Bionicos, beer! Overall, Clean Restaurant, exceptional service, just wish that the place was bigger!

I’m jaliciense so you know I had to come try these authentic tortas ahogadas, and dam there good!!! Really authentic with the spicy hot sauce that there dipped in!!! The tacos dorados are also a must!!! Also I tried the tacos de barbacoa!!! Dude they tasted like those tacos de Birria we would eat early in the morning when I was a kid in TJ!!! They do need to work on the sides though, the beans weren’t good, tasted fishy, and rice was bland. If they perfect those sides I would give 5 stars(there bathrooms are clean too) I come here on a regular so I recommend it!

Pretty good food, the tacos de barbacoa are bomb! Friendly service and I love that they serve beer. But only three stars for cleanliness. The bathrooms and floors are dirty — they can do better.

Gave these guys another shot & I’m glad I did. The flavor in the food is there & the service is always great, the cute chubby girl goes outta her way to help. & I appreciate it because when I go out to eat I want to relax. They gained a family of 6 as customers ;)

I really wanted to like this place based on other Unilocal reviews, but I was extremely disappointed. The food was OK. We ordered a wet burrito de asada and dos tortas ahogadas de carnitas. My major problem with this place was it’s lack of cleanliness. The dirty floor, not that I was planning on eating off of it, but it shows me the pride of ownership. Unclean tables, the dirty window sill full of dust and flies, and the flies flying around the tables. But the worst part was the baby cockroach that was sitting next to me on the bench where I was eating.(GAG!!!) You know how people say«Never Say Never,» well, I’m NEVER coming back.
