We visited the nursery to get an estimate for 50 evergreens to plant along the front of our house. When we found the trees we liked, we noticed that there are no price tags so I went into the building to ask. When I entered the store, a lady behind the counter did not acknowledge my existence even though I was literally standing in front of her across the counter. When she finally talked to me, I asked her and she used her walkie talkie to call employees on the field but nobody responded. She said everyone went home although it was still15 minutes to closing. She then walked out with me, found an employee and asked if he can check the price for me. But unbelievably, he firmly said«no». We were so appalled that we just left and went to a large home improvement store and placed the order. I notice that over the years, many local nurseries and garden centers have closed, especially during the financial crisis, due to dwindling business. It would be in the best interest of surviving nursery owners to treat their potential customers well.

We liked the store as it had many variety and has everything you needed for your lawn. It is on the expensive side comparing to the big box stores. It had some rare varieties but not as much as that of another nursery in Tenafly. I liked the friendly and helpful services and would go back in a heart beat.

Would NOT recommend .I was poorly treated. Was offered 10% discount on an item and at check out she tried to be slick and not mention it until I reminded her .I bought a Wrought Iron Victorian Arch. I arrived 15 minutes before closing and felt very rushed. I rolled up to the garadge to what looked like an OLD, WORN opened box .The staffer told me they opened it up to check for parts but to be honest it looked like that box had been through a WARANDPROBABLYBEENOPENEDANDRETAPEDMORETHANONCE. THENHEWASGONNAPUTITINMYCARWITHOUTCLOSINGIT back up SECURELY. Rushing me. I HAD to ask for it to be taped again. I only glanced at the item and Assumed it was ok and ready to take home to Ct. Upon getting it home and set up I noticed it was not the correct Size. I asked for 56″ width and got a 50″ just didnt look right, one side didnt align right and had a slight crookedness or dent. When I called back to report my findings and ask for an exchange I was DENIED. I was not happy and got angry with Peter who would not let me speak. He told me he wouldn’t take it back because it was opened and installed. We argued over 10 minutes and he was Extremely Rude. Talking over me not allowing me to speak. I was trying to tell him The only way I could see if it was the right size was to put It up. I got so upset I had to let my friend talk to Peter who continually disputed with us… This garden shop made the sale and didnt care about the rest. Peter tried to rush us off the phone. Said we needed to call the Manufacture. There was no # on the box and Haggling with Management is Not Good Customer Service. He should have offered to give me another item. Instead of disputing me… Then he didnt want to find the manufacture # trying to rush us off the PHONE. Any one does not have Patience and Respect for consumers should not be dealing with the Public… I wasnt asking for a Refund. I just wanted the right Item I purchased. spending close to.$ 300 I should be satisfied not Bullied or Horrified.

I like this center-they always have a good selection of the plants that do well and are healthy here in northeastern NJ. Pricing is average and they are very helpful. they usually have a wide selection of pots –especially ones that don’t crack because they are fired for life outdoors-those a pricey but worth it. I have had their pots for 10 years with no breakage even with all the snow and ice we had this year in 2011.

Excellent selection and friendly service. I was happy to find passion flowers, which are pretty tough to find around here.
