La Boxing

This place rules the fitness world.
The place:
Has a huge boxing ring right at the door. Behind that are like 40 huge heavy bags hanging from the ceiling. There are machines nearby and a large floor mat for classes on bjj and other martial arts lessons and gatherings. It could be a bit intimidating when you look at it, but don’t let it fool you. It’s one of the most welcoming gyms in the neighborhood.
The staff:
Super friendly. Always more than a hello when you walk in, they remember your name and will answer your questions. Always a smile.
Instructors:
Freindly and knowledgeable about body mechanics. From what I’ve seen they are all male. Not sure if they have women instructors, but they are all very fit and toned, truly inspiring, motivating and are understanding if you have a back or neck issue, but will always push you to give them just another 15 seconds.ugh. My friend says she goes to just look at the instructors. lol…but she’s lost weight and toned up in the process… so whatever works for you.haha.
Classes:
A typical class is a half hour of cardio and strength training then a half hour of boxing with gloves, which is the ultimate upper body workout. The first part may include use of bands, dumbbells, ropes, ladders, kettle bells or a few runs around the gym.
All classes are group, you don’t suffer alone… the classes push you to your limits… and you feel the results right away if you commit to using your membership 3 to 4 times a week… why not use it? I am 50 years old. Had a sedentary lifestyle for a year, signed up and couldn’t get through less than half a class. I didn’t let it discourage me. Every time I went I pushed a bit more. while everyone else would have done three laps around the gym I was glad to do just one. they did ten pushups I couldn’t do one. Now, I can do pushups and I keep up with the class… I’ve lost weight and I have a great place to come and relieve stress and stay fit. The other members are friendly, encouraging and yes, just as tired as you… but you are welcomed into the group as soon as you arrive, encouraged and right away you know that you are gonna have a good experience.

the collection company called and they want $ 435.00???
most people are dumb enough to send the money
i did not sign up for or use the gym in those months that is a scam
if they decided to renew my contract that is their fault i never authorized that!!!

Oh, LA Boxing, I miss you so much!
I got a Groupon good for one month of classes and I totally got my money’s worth!
The instructors are professional and SO helpful! They diversify the workouts so you’re not always doing the same thing.
LA Boxing offers plenty of time slots for classes throughout the day.
You will sweat. You will take breaks. You will ache the next day. But don’t give up because you WILL get in shape!
Bring water and buy your own gloves because the ones they lend smell like armpits.
The staff are super nice and willing to work with you on prices. I am young and broke and unfortunately could not continue my membership, BUT my birthday is coming up and boxing classes is all I’m asking for this year!
