Horrible customer service! I had to ask for my fire to be relit three times before it was actually done. The girl with the braids has a big attitude. this is the second time that I’ve been here and they’ve ran out of strawberries and bananas. If you are always running out of fruit ORDERMORE. On top of the $ 20 I Spent on fondue, they charge 5 extra dollars for more marshmallows. Ridiculous

Waited an hour and 20 minutes for one sundae, which was completely melted when it finally arrived. The staff knew they had forgotten our order, and they did not put any effort into getting it out for us even after talking to them.

Honestly, save your $$$ and go elsewhere. My review is based solely on drinks and strawberries. Got a hot chocolate, a latte and a cold version of a mocha. I dunno maybe it’s me but their hot chocolate and chocolate dipping was just bitter and unenjoyable. The latte was meh. The«frappé» version of my mocha was ok but I’ll give them a pass as they don’t usually do that. For the strawberries, seriously go to the grocery store, buy fresh strawberries and melt your own chocolate. If you’re too lazy, just take Nutella. Store overall was rather dirty and employees were pretty lethargic. I don’t know, waste of money for me. Won’t go back. Want good hot chocolate, lattes and awesome cookies? Go to Jacques Torres instead.

Dirty and Understaffed! My son and I went to the Max Brenner at the Garden State Plaza today. We walked in around 3:00 pm and there was one woman on line in front of us. I looked around the restaurant, and noticed how empty the place was, maybe 3 or 4 tables were occupied, the rest were open. So I was surprised to see a sign on the counter that read«30 – 45 minute wait». So I asked the woman behind the counter if the sign was correct. She said yes it was. So I said, that the place was empty. She proceeded to tell me(rather rudely) that she was the person, taking the orders, making the food and doing the dishes. That’s when I noticed how dirty the place was. I counted at least 10 tables that had not been bussed yet, full of dirty dishes. Needless to say we did not stay, and would not go back!

For the price(about $ 6.00) I was expecting a really good cup of coco like from Marie Belle. It was average, slightly better than Starbucks but Starbucks provides whip cream. Our chocolates got slightly cool as we waited some time for them to be served from when they were put out to when they actually brought it to the table. Tables were dirty and sticky. Overall a disappointing experience. On the plus side they have very cute mugs.

This place is very special. First they serve delicious coffee in real cups. And I ask them if they could slice some strawberries and put a little whipped cream on it and they made a magnificent job of it. Very relaxing atmosphere nice staff.

This review is for the Hot Chocolate served at Bryant Park. The hot chocolate is phenomenal. It is a bit on the sweet side nonetheless it’s amazing. Has a great velvety texture. It’s a thick hot chocolate, but not like other thick hot chocolates that have a pudding consistency, just right. I could not finish the whole thing because it was overly sweet. This hot chocolate overindulges but it’s all good.

Spoiler: Expect to pay a large amount for just okay desserts and service. I went there on a Friday night(11÷20÷15) with some friends to celebrate my friend’s birthday. My friend called ahead to make a reservation for 6 of us, but they said they don’t take reservations on Friday nights. We each ordered hot chocolate(Mexican spicy and marshmallow hot chocolate) or a milkshake which was good. However, It was not amazing enough or large enough to cost almost $ 6 for each hot chocolate. We also ordered the Classic European Fondu for Two for the table. It came with melted milk and dark chocolate and melted toffee to dip the marshmallows, cookie, cocoa cake, bananas, and strawberries. It was good, but again, nothing mind blowing for the price($ 17.95). I also ordered a Chocolate Chunks Pizza(personal pizza) for the table but it never arrived($ 14.95). We waited about 25 minutes and we were all done consuming everything else and it still never came to the table. We were given numbers to temporarily put on our table when we ordered our items and the staff kept trying to take my number despite not getting my pizza delivered to the table. We we ready to leave when I went to the front to get my money back. The young woman working at the cashier was obviously busy making something behind the counter. She purposefully ignored me(she caught my eye a few times but would turn away quickly) and continued working on whatever she was making. I waited for a solid 3 – 4 minutes for her as many people were standing behind me also waiting to place an order. I told her what happened and that I wanted my money back. She informed me that the oven«wasn’t really working» and I told her I still wanted my money back because my friends and I were ready to leave. She walked away without saying anything and got her manager. Very rude customer service. The manager kindly helped me and I finally left. I’ve worked in restaurants for many years and there needs to be communication between the staff and the customers. I wasn’t happy with the way things played out. The NYC location is much better.

Never again. The last time I went there, the three workers were too busy fooling around to either notice the line at the front or the fact that we were trying to wave them down for 10 minutes because they had forgotten to give us the milkshake we ordered to go. And tonight was the last straw. I got a brownie to go and it was dry and tasteless. What a waste. Don’t go here.

Everything looked so yummy I couldn’t figure out what I wanted… So I finally ordered munchies, which is a waffle with ice cream and chocopops so I chose chocolate ice cream and dulce de leche… I also got a hazelnut milkshake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for my son… Twenty minutes later it finally came out… They never brought my sons ice cream and put plain vanilla ice cream on my waffle… I wish I just ordered the s’mores concoction… It wouldn’t have been so complex. Anyhow, it was ok but I didn’t finish it… The lady said she would bring me the right ice cream on the side but never did and my waffle was already half way finished… I complained to the mgr… And she refunded me the waffle and the ice cream my son never got! I’ll give them another try… Maybe not on a Friday night though… I really want to try the s’mores…

Not nearly as good as the NYC location, which honestly wasn’t super impressive either. Overpriced, no intoxicating chocolate smell. The cookie my friend and I split wasn’t any different from most other cookies I’ve had. Also, super slow service behind the counter.

Chocolate lovers heaven. I came in and got hot chocolate and a piece of candy. I did not stay to sit in. The first thing I noticed was the gift display. You can get a hot chocolate mug with hot chocolate powder box for about $ 20. Not a bad gift for that chocolate obsessed friend… I got a small dark hot chocolate drink. I needed a pick me up and in a few sips of the drink hit the spot. It was very rich and I was happy with it. half way through the cup I was close to overdosing on chocolate. I think there should be an option for a smaller size for less than $ 7. Overall, I will probably come back and try something else… But wish drink prices were better value.

I was craving for chocolate so I decided to stop by and get their 4-pc bonbons for $ 6.50. The place isn’t packed but I waited like 10mins for someone to assist me. I’ve been here before and the service still sucks.

Got lucky on a Saturday night to get 2 seats at bar. We had a half order of chocolate chunk pizza. We had it with peanut butter, toasted marshmallows and bananas. My husband loved it, I thought it was too sweet. Their cocktails were awesome. I had the Classic Chocolate Martini, garnished with chocolate dipped strawberry, that was phenomenal. Hubby has the Mocha Madness, which he really liked. Think this was a great«one and done» experience.

Hottie Esq. and I stopped in here mid-afternoon for a little chocolate fix during a mall jaunt. At the recommendation of the nice girl behind the counter, we split the European Fondue for Two. This thing was damn good. You choose from two different types of chocolate(we chose milk chocolate and white chocolate) and along with it comes caramel sauce, cookies, cocoa cake, marshmallows, strawberries and bananas. It was around $ 18 which I felt was completely fair. By the time you purchase the ingredients yourself, chop everything up, heat up your chocolate/caramel, and then clean up the mess you made, you’re at about $ 20 right there. Not having to wipe sticky caramel out of a ceramic dish while cursing like a sailor in my kitchen is worth it enough for me. We both like our marshmallows with a nice char on them, and burning the hell out of those suckers definitely gave a nice aroma to the already aromatic dining space. Woot woot! The serving size was perfect for two people. We didn’t feel sick afterward, nor were we on a sugar-high. It was chocolate-tastic and I think he was duly impressed. Cool place to dine-in or grab something decadent to go. Go ahead, you’ve earned it with all that mall walking you just did. Plus you’ll need your energy to find your car.

This location only serves dessert. The shop is pretty cool, with«chocolate pipes» running overhead and various other chocolate themed merchandise. But honestly, it’s overpriced, especially since it’s a more of a café than a full service restaurant. The Melting S’mores Sundae is pretty sizeable, so I split it with a friend. It comes with a dish of whipped cream and white chocolate fondue as well. It was super sweet. The marshmallow froze a little bit because of the ice cream, so the texture was weird. Good for a try, but not something I’d go for regularly.

This is a much smaller version of their NYC location. That being said, they only serve dessert items. The experience starts off with ordering the items off the menu at the register. They will bring you the items to your table. We ordered the fondue for two. It was good. We ended up ordering more strawberries. $ 1.00 a strawberry! The crêpe we ordered was drowning in chocolate. It was hard to appreciate the actual crêpe with strawberries with a huge amount of chocolate inside. My daughter did not finish her crêpe. Overall, it was a fun and quick chocolate experience if you’re in the mall and never had an opportunity to experience MB in NYC.

Nice but over priced gimmick. If you’re not getting the fondue, you might as well go to starbucks because most of the food offerings aren’t that different, and they’re pricey. The chocolate fondue for two is definitely an indulgent treat, just wish the bananas were not over ripened. I got the«4 sip» iced latte which had way to much ice and wasn’t anything special. I’d probably come back.
