They do have less than a handful of FDA organic teas. Read up on pesticides, GMO ingredients and etc before you think any tea anywhere is good. :-/Try to insist on organic teas whenever you buy teas anywhere.

Nice place. 1) The tea here is good, but very expensive. 2) Since it is very expensive. I just end up drinking the free samples rather then buy these overpriced tea. 3) However, I do end up buying after several visits. Especially when I tried their sample of Indian Maharaja and Japanese Samurai fusion tea. So, ya, the samples do work.

Very pricey, $ 4+ for a small cup of tea. It’s a fancy process where they pull out a giant canister from the wall, and put the loose tea in glass with a timer. The sugar is also fancy, a brown rock sugar they put in for you. The company is owned by Starbucks, and the price shows. The white peach tea was delicious, lasts awhile since it’s strong.

After years of coffee abuse I have stupid-high caffeine tolerance, but there’s something about tea that keeps its place as a feel-good drink for me. Our friend brought over two canisters and the mixy-thing one night, and after going through that I stopped by to refill. Sure enough, the main point of the store is a big wall of different types… of different types… of teas, which seems kinda crazy at first but nonetheless it’s definitely cool to have a specialized store for that. Even though there are a lot of different teas, the employees are always willing to give you a whiff and for what it’s worth caffeine and antioxidant information are right there with price. There’s so much more though, and it all really comes down to the employees. I slept in after not sleeping much the other night, came down to the mall to stock up on teas and grab a bite, and I was kind of stricken with how straight-up friendly employee Jeanne(sorry if I’m spelling it wrong) and her co-workers were. With some faith in humanity built up, I stopped by before leaving the mall to thank them for exceptional niceness; it really goes a long way in New Jersey retail, people remember it and later feel good coming back to the store. Props to the employees of this Teavana. If tea is a feel-good drink, then it’s really awesome to have this little place as a feel-good store.

As far as tea is concerned, you can find every type and make every combination under the planet. Blue berry bliss and pineapple konapop is my favorite. Iced! Everyone at this location knows their stuff and are very helpful and friendly. If you’re sick the cold buster is the way to go. Definitely will make you feel better.

Iced tea was great, but it took nearly twenty minutes to make! I almost left I was getting so annoyed. And this was despite having a ton of employees working.

This is the best teavana I have ever been too! Kamika I hope I spelled her name right, but she was super helpful very knowledgeable, and have me many tips on how to brew tea and what teas flavors mix well. I will be going back there for sure!

This place has the best loose tea in tons of different flavors… But it can get expensive. It’s not uncommon to spend $ 60-$ 70 on a couple small bags of tea! They also sell a lot of cool tea accessories and whatnot, but like I said nothing in that store is cheap.

This place is weird. There are far too many employees to store size so one can hardly turn a corner without someone asking if you need help. The teas themselves are pretty good, but I recommend knowing exactly what you want when you go in

Let’s start by saying, I am not a tea snob, and I truly love the product that Teavana sells, but I truly HATE the way it is sold, and the salespeople. Several, in particular are extremely obnoxious in their tactics, and demeanor. I am a big fan of the 75% off sale at the end of the year, and I always make at least $ 150 purchase at that time. The tea is SO expensive here, and not really that high quality to warrant such prices. But like I said, I like the tea, I like the flavors, I like the aromas, I like the varieties. I hate the pushy salespeople. When you enter the store it’s so off putting to be attacked by salespeople. For crying out loud, give a person a chance to look around first. But, they ask you once, you tell them I’m just looking and then the second salesperson comes and asks you if you need help and then you say no i’m good, and when you’re asked a 3rd time, you just want to get the hell out of there. Now, I’ve been a Teavana customer for about 6 years, and I know the drill, so it’s tiresome to hear the same crap over and over. My cabinets are full of tins, I don’t need anymore $ 8 tins; when they are 75% off, I will buy one or two more. Typically, or should I say ROUTINELY, when you ask for a tea to purchase, and ask for the quantity of 2 oz.,(which is the minimum) they will pour it into a tin and say«It’s a little over, is that ok?» and most folks say yes. I say NO, i’d like 2 oz. The salesgirl sucks her teeth and pours some back into the big tin, and at 2.3 oz says, is that ok, and I say no, I’d like 2 oz. She glared at me, and I smiled, big. I hate that crap, but every salesperson at EVERY teavana is trained to do the same thing. They don’t tell you the tin is an extra $ 8. Tell them to put it in a bag please, I have tins at home. Don’t be wishy washy. Now, like i said I know how to get around all their crap but I can see how newbies can get sucked in and it’s a shame because they won’t come back if they feel they’ve been taken advantage of. The worst salesgirl in this store is Tamika. She was literally YELLING at the other employees while she was measuring out my tea. Stuff like, «Don’t be just standing there, go do something. Don’t let me see you standing there!» and«Go help this lady. Make her buy something.» «I know I don’t see you standing there.» On and on. I was like, seriously? When my daughter and I heard that Starbucks had bought Teavana, we said YAY! Maybe they will change the way the shops are run. At Starbucks NOONEBOTHERS you to buy stuff, you just want to buy it because you like it. It’s VERY expensive and shouldn’t be. It needs to be more reasonable to get repeat business. Most aficionados know that this isn’t the top of the line tea. Just like people who know coffee, know that Starbucks isn’t the best. But it’s good, and people like it. With a little fine tuning, and re-training of the team, this can be a good store. I really hope that there will be some improvement once Starbucks has some influence. UPDATE12⁄2013 Oh wow. Much better atmosphere. No one is touting health benefits anymore, since Starbucks apparently has banned this practice. I am a regular, and am in Teavana at least once a week. I’m not given the hard sell anymore, but there is still some residual annoyance by a few employees. The older employees find it hard not to sell you honey by telling you how phenomenal they are and the different ‘mouthfeel’ each type gives(this is bordering on obnoxious) but overall, greatly improved, and I stop in all the time, and am in love with the Capital of Heaven tea!

Teavana is a terrific shop for those loyal to teas. i love the various tea pots they sell, esp the cast iron. yesterday they had several teas for sampling and i ended up buying one herbal blend. the downside is the price, everything is quite expensive, it cost $ 40 for half lb of tea leaves. the guy who helped us was young, but very knowledgeable about the teas as well as the meanings behind the different designs on the tea pots.

i’ve been a fan of teavana for a few years now. i hate driving to the garden state plaza mall and now that there is a location in paramus park(the mall in which i currently work) i can go there more frequently! the first time i went into the location, i found the salespeople to be extremely pushy. i only wanted an ounce or two of a few teas to sample and see what i would like. their tea is delicious and amazing, but can be quite expensive(totally worth it though). after a few times of seeing that i’m a regular, the pushiness went away. i guess retail is retail! i love how knowledgeable the staff is. they know so much about their teas and each time i go, i let them make me a cup of tea. so far they are two for two on being on the nose with my tastes.
