Who the hell would have thought there would ever be a brewery down in the heart of Paris, Kentucky? Not me that’s for sure. This place is pretty darn cool. It is a great atmosphere that always has good music playing in the back ground. Sometimes they even have live music and at times even trivia. Their beer on tap is pretty darn good and is their own recipes. They also sell tons of different beers bottled and canned that is used to decorate the place. The owner is super nice and very chatty. It was a very welcoming place to stop in and have a drink. They also had a guy making tacos on the sidewalk that visits every night they don’t have a food truck stop in. There is always great food and snacks if you decide you need a bite. I went here just because it was on the Brewgrass Trail, but I guarantee I will stop back by more often. It was a great time for sure.

what a great experience i had — a great beer and a tour of their personal beer making process. Very cool laid back place many many many different types of American and craft and foreign beers but atmosphere(small town hang out) was so enjoyable. what a great place.

Love this sweet little brewery in Paris! I’ve become a fan of craft beer recently and was delighted to hear Rooster Brewing was nearby. My husband and I actually came to sample Lyle’s BBQ, which was catering one night, but we stayed for the drinks and atmosphere. Rooster is, as previously mentioned, a bit small but the perfect size for Paris. It has several small tables to sit around, a bar up in front, and a huge craft beer bottle display(their menu, basically — although there is a written one behind the bar). If I remember correctly, they have six beers on tap and growlers available. I am always slightly overwhelmed with choices when I go to a brewery, so I asked for some recommendations on a fruit/raspberry beer. Our server brought me one that satisfied. My husband enjoyed his wheat beer, as well. During our time sitting at the table, several employees(owners, maybe?) came around to check on us and welcome us to the area. At one point, a nice lady came around offering pizza because another customer brought in extras! How sweet!(If you’re wondering, I declined the pizza offer.) Around 9p or 10pm, a large group of loud twenty-somethings came in and crowded up the place. I’m not sure if this was typical or just random, but that was about the time we decided to get out of there. I like things quiet and sweet, not loud and crazy. I adored this brewery and can’t wait to come back with visiting friends.

No, there aren’t enough breweries in central KY! So this new place is a welcomed new addition to the brewery scene. I am sure that it is a welcomed addition to the downtown Paris scene too. It’s just about 15 miles from Lexington and if you take Paris Pike, the views of the horse farms on the drive there, are magnificent. It is a bit small, as are most places in downtown Paris, but it seemed to be the perfect size brewery for Paris. Good atmosphere and music. The bottom of the bar is made out of an old door and there are several unique touches to the décor. The beer: I was the dd so I can’t really say, but everyone seemed to like it. Last night they had 10 taps offering KY beer, 2 of which were ones that they brewed there. They also had 60 different kinds of bottled craft beer. Since I was there on opening night, I don’t know if that will be the norm or not. The art walk is going on in Paris this weekend too… head on down tonight if you’re reading this review 4÷26÷14.
