Sadly the original Bruges no longer exists and this location has been converted into a generic Red Pine Waffle House with mediocre waffles. This gives me great pain to update my review as the original Bruges had 5 star waffles and was a highlight of my vacations to Park City and new place is a terrible replacement. Dear management — Please bring back the original !!!

The waffles are amazing! Perfect spot to stop and break morning or afternoon! Love the idea of a waffle house on the mountain!!!

AMAZING. Since being in Belgium I have searched far and wide for these gems… I found these while skiing and was amazed that they were even better than the ones in Belgium. Seriously, one of the top 5 things I have EVER tasted. I’m so thankful that someone has mastered the Belgium Liege Waffle and made it available in Utah. I especially appreciate that I have never had one that is undercooked(as they often are at the downtown Salt Lake City location). If people complain about high price – they’re crazy. I would easily pay $ 20/waffle and be happy! These waffles done right are extremely rare. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Good carmelized sugar, and of course… location, location, location! Get ‘em stuffed with dark chocolate, top with whipped cream or fruit of the day! Mmmm This is a great ski up little shack with tasty waffles! It’s a dough that they crisp into a yummie waffle, with parts that are that yummie caramalized sugar goodness. I expect to pay a decent amount for slope side food in Park city, and the $ 4.50 for the waffle didn’t bother me., but the $ 3.00 for a few slices of strawberry, plain, is a bit wacky. It’s located at a busy section if the mountain, across from the only couple greens Canyons has. beware the kiddie brigade, haha

This place is really quite amazing. The Bruges style(Belgian) waffles here are actually quite authentic(was in Brussels only last summer). The waffles themselves are spot on; the variable is(1) if the guys making the waffles are nice(good customer service and(2) if they make the waffles properly(not undercooked). Otherwise, really authentic. Ultimately, the waffles here are delicious — go all out and get the Tornado(with all the toppings). Only downside is the price -$ 8.50 for deliciousness you’ll find here; it’s $ 1-$ 2 at any street vendor in Brussels, Belgium. You can actually make these at home if you really want to. Only problem is that the sugar in the dough makes a huge mess in your waffle maker.

Another reason why I wanted to try boarding at Canyons was because of Bruges waffles, apart from the Orange Bubble chairlift. I saw on travel channel that this is one place where you can get Waffles to go and then board down as you eat the waffles. Unfortunately, that day was super chilly, about -7 °F so they didn’t have this stand open at the runs, you had to walk into this giant wooden hut. I saw they have speculoos as toppings and I heard rave reviews about this spread, so I just gotta order a waffle with that on top. Oh so good, it was hot, sweet, crunchy, and great food to comfort the cold weather. I gotta deduct the star for its price, $ 6.50 for a waffle, kinda steep eh? In any case, I actually do love it. This is like one of the best thing in Canyons for boarders, as the runs were flats and this waffle cured my sadness.

Bruges was seriously one of my favorite things about skiing Canyons. Bruges is only open on the weekends early in the ski season, and since we were skiing Thursday and Friday, we thought we wouldn’t be able to try the amazing little waffle shack in the snow. Lo and behold, we got off the gondola Friday morning and Bruges was open! After a few runs, we skiied over to the picnic tables ready to be wowed. We split a waffle with dark chocolate in the middle and speculoos on top, and ordered two Belgian hot chocolates. The guy working at the shack was super friendly and told us what makes the waffles different — they’re dough-based waffles rather than batter-based, so all the dough is made and portioned at the Salt Lake City location and then transported over to Park City each morning. By far, this was the best waffle I’ve ever had. The texture was crunchy and thick, the dark chocolate melting in the center was heavenly, and the speculoos on top was an amazing addition. It goes without saying that the Belgian hot chocolate was a hundred times better than what we’d had in the Red Pine Lodge the day before. Bruges is probably one of my favorite things about the entire state of Utah. I would come back and ski Canyons again JUST for those amazing waffles!

My kids and I stopped to get waffles before a day of skiing. The girl working was on her cell phone and once she got off was kind of surly. The waffles had potential but were undercooked. I’d definitely try it again but we were disappointed.

This place was beyond awesome. Kinda like a mirage in the snow. Waffles were hot and crispy and so good. Stuffed with chocolate and topped with whipped cream it was the perfect end to our day on the hill. For the quality I found the price to be low. They have hot chocolate here as well and although I didn’t try it I am pretty sure it was better than the overpriced brown water they were selling at the Red Pine Lodge. Worth just buying a lift ticket to go up and get one. I wish I had one right now.

Waffles in the middle of the mountain! Amazing waffle with crunchy sugar bits!
