This small place is a hidden gem in Park Ridge. I discovered it about a month ago and have been coming back ever since. They have good selection of delicious smoked fish(all smoked on premises), some fresh and fried fish plus salads, sandwiches for lunch etc. I have tried different flavors of smoked salmon, white tuna, trout, sea bass, mackerel and sturgeon. All were really good and well seasoned. They also carry smoked chubs(which look like giant goldfish) that I have yet to try. Their salmon carpacchio is always fresh and tasty. Great place to grab some delicious smoked fish for dinner. Friendly and helpful service and free samples.

Went there today. I have always liked smoked fish. The place is clean. Offers a lot of choices salmon, lake trout and tuna were my picks. All were delicious. The smoked tuna was new to me, but now another favorite. A couple of tables inside and out. I will definitely return.

Okay, sometimes I am skeptical of smoked fish. But not here. They obviously started with fish that was fresh, and they know how to control the smoke so that it doesn’t seem like the fish has been turned into leather. Everything I tried was great! Also the amount of smoke and the flavoring and seasoning that they use I feel really was very different from this type of fish to that type of fish. I got a piece of fried bass to heat up at home. I’m very greatly looking forward to it! I’m definitely going to come back to try the hot lunch specials.

This is a fairly new shop where a deli once stood. I saw a small advertisement for the store along Northwest Highway and I decided to stop in. I am glad I did. They have a tremendous selection of smoked fish: salmon, trout, cod, sturgeon, and several more. Upon walking in, I found a table full of free samples and was so impressed, I ended up purchasing larger quantities of some of the fish I sampled. I bought some brown sugar cured-smoked-salmon, some smoked salmon with wine, and some smoked cod. All of it was very good. The young woman behind the counter was very friendly and even allowed me to sample several of the pasta salads, which were tasty, but I had come with a hankering for smoked fish. Nevertheless, she was sweet and patient and I found the atmosphere to be very friendly and neighborly. The prices were reasonable as well. I spent under $ 30 and left with several pounds of smoked fish. My only desire left unfulfilled was that they did not sell smoked chubs, which are hard to find. They also sell fried seafood, but that was certainly not being conveyed too strongly nor was that what I wanted at the time. However, from what I did see of the fried food selection, it looked very appetizing. I’m excited this place is now in the neighborhood and hope it does very well. The congeniality of the employees, the quality of the food, and the reasonable prices all made for a great experience.
