Dr. Steve Ballis is an excellent dentist. I have been his patient for 10 years. I have a huge dental phobia and his staff was very patient and kind with me. He has a very friendly and professional approach to dental work. His explanations are simple and easy to understand. He is willing to help with financing and his billing service is new and very easy to work with. His staff will schedule appointments so there is rarely a long wait in his office. There is plenty of close and free parking. He will answer every question you might have about procedures. He has specialists to make referrals when necessary. He will also talk to your family doctor if necessary. I am grateful to find him as a dentist. I have had dentists in the past that lost patience with me because of my anxieties with dentists. He also treats my wife and son. Every visit I have had over the years are pleasant, free of worries. I strongly recommend Dr Ballis as a your family dentist.

Worst. Office. Ever. Sketchy billing; pushy with extras — like the $ 37 mouthwash they said I ‘needed,’ sold to me while I was doped up and in tears after a two-hour procedure; $ 60 for ‘oral care instructions’?! If my insurance hadn’t questioned their billing both times, I wouldn’t have realized half the trumped-up stuff they were billing me for. They’re unclear on what insurance does or doesn’t cover, and they bill for procedures you don’t necessarily approve or even know that they’re performing — or say that they’ve performed. Sketchy, sketchy, sketchy. And not particularly great care, either. Though I did appreciate the hygienist speculating that she thought my lifelong birthmark might be cancerous.(Seriously? Because the dental chair isn’t stressful enough. Let’s talk cancer while I have a mouthful of novocaine and cotton.) DON’T GOHERE. And if you already do, you might want to look over your billing.

The cost of the treatments were nearly double what the accountant told me they’d be over the phone. I spent a few thousand on work and the accountant hounded me for $ 500 after I spent $ 2,000. I told her that I was waiting for my $ to go into my Healthcare spending account first. 2 days later, I received an email telling me she was going to put my bill into collections for failure to pay… All this for not paying less than 2 weeks after the services performed! Dentist was ok but way high priced and rude to his hygienist.
