Elite Event at Pinot’s Palette

As far as activities, this was my favorite Unilocal elite event. I’m so happy I had the opportunity to check this place out. I’ve been out of touch with my inner amateur artist for awhile but the staff was more than helpful about being available and supportive. Directions were given really clearly and I was happy that all supplies were provided.
This would be a great date option, your creative juices will be flowing while you chit chat and being surrounded by art is always inspiring.
I’m no stranger to Artichoke pizza, it was delicious like always.
I definitely plan to return and maybe even host a girls night or do a date night here in the near future.

Outstanding work on the part of Peter D… you rock! This was so great and I had such a fantastic time, I’m especially happy that I got to bring my best friend and fellow Unilocaler, Amanda K with me. I’ll start off by talking about the most beautiful work of art in the room… the Artichoke pizza. A more delicious pizza just cannot exit, I’m certain. Life is really good when you have a slice of this pizza in one hand and a Nutella covered bread stick in the other hand. I especially enjoy the photo of everyone else in the room intently listening to instructions and setting up materials, as I, in the back of the photo, make out with my pizza. LOOK FOR IT. The beer on top of it? Just the best.
I have painted since I was about 5, I was horrible then, and I can’t say I’ve gotten any better. LUCKILY, the patient, helpful, and fun staff at Pinot’s Palette helped me create a pretty decent portrait. The pace at which the «lead artist» went was perfect and I liked that we could watch what she was doing on giant TV screens if we didn’t have a good view of her. I also liked that other staff members walked around and helped us if we messed up. Truly a memorable night, I’m so happy and grateful that I got to be a part of it!

What an amazing experience! It’s obvious from the moment you walk into Pino’t Palette that lots of love and creativity went into creating this wonderful art space. It’s funny, I’ve been trying to get a few friends of mine to do a wine and painting class for over a year now. So, when Unilocal Elite Brooklyn invited us to experience Pino’t Palette, I jumped at the chance to experience such fun.
The entire staff, under the direction of Linda, I believe she is the manager, welcomed us with open arms. If you arrive at Pino’t Palette feeling nervous or affraid that your inner child Picasso won’t measure up, I guarantee Linda and her staff will have you believing that you can possible be the next painter extraordinaire.
If having the greatest time ever painting and laughing is not enough, Pino’t Palette has a great selection of libations and pizza can be added to the experience if that suits your fancy as well. Do yourself a slice and ask for the artichoke pizza; trust me on this! You can’t and you won’t beat the excitement in this place. I plan to bring my family and friends back very very soon!

For me there was no better way to spend my b-​day then being all creative and artsy and surrounded by good food (Artichoke Pizza!), good booze (Hofbräu Beer) and good people (shoutout to my first and favorite Unilocal friend, and fellow birthday girl — Monique R!)
Tuesday night’s Unilocal event might have been my favorite one to date and here are all the reasons why:
+ The setting was relaxed and despite there being at least 40 painters there it didn’t feel crowded.
+ The staff was soooo nice and was great about circulating and making sure everyone was comfortable with their tools and the paint techniques. I’m ready to pick up some acrylics from the craft store and practice the very technical ‘smush and swirl’ paint brush method. ‘Artwork by Alyssa’ for everybody this holiday season! ;-)
+ Out host for the night — Julie — had an infectious personality. I’ve never been great with a paintbrush but she made me believe in my skills and taught some great techniques. Bonus +‘s for the TV monitors set up in the middle of the room provided a great visual for those of us who couldn’t see everything the teach was doing. So helpful!
+ Artichoke Basille’s classic artichoke pie! Can I give double points to this one? I had my first slice last night and I’m already hooked. Sooo so good and I liked that they were bringing them in a couple pies at a time so we could all experience a hot slice. SO GOOD!
+ Soft pretzels and beer. Do I even need to explain that one…

One of the most unique events of the year. Painting, beer, pizza, and pretzels with Nutella and a variety of mustards?! Those are a few of my favorite things. Sign me up! Asked one of my friends also going through a rough time (we both lost loved ones in our lives this month, he his best friend and me my mother). His response: «YES! We can paint our feelings away!»
I didn’t have the highest expectations for my arts and craft skills but after a hofbrau dunkel and an artichoke slice that were both amazingly delicious I was ready to immerse myself. The teacher was pretty great and instructed in a step by step easy to follow format. Minus naming our brushes cute names. I kept confusing the tiny and medium sized one. My picture turned out better than I had expected. The bubbles were a bit odd because I kept saying «why does red wine have white effervescent bubbles?» and my friend joked «that it was a Bill Cosby cocktail». There were laughs and there was paint everywhere and now I temporarily have this sucker stuck to my living room wall. Oh! Also the staff asked the last remaining few of us if we wanted to take some pretzels to go because they were just going to dump them. So sweet and kind! I definitely want to come back sometime to attempt a different artful masterpiece.

Painting is not my forte. Drinking beer and eating pizza is much more my speed. Glad there was an event to have me work on my art game while still enjoying what I know best.
The event at Pinot’s Pallet was a super fun time that ranged outside the norm for elite events.
Got there a couple of minutes before 7 and the line was long to get in. The place was already packed. And Peter D forgot to give me my raffle tickets!!! Those tickets that won could have been mine! That guy messes everything up.
Went to the back and saw the last slice of artichoke taken before my eyes. I was cool with it though. The Tuesday before every Thanksgiving we throw a huge feast for the kids are work. They weren’t the only one who was well fed that Tuesday. That being said, I was happy to wait for the pies that came later on.
For beer we had delicious brews from Hofbrau. Their hefe is one of my favorites. Best of all it paired really well with the pretzels and hot mustard that were also there.
After awhile, and a few beers, the painting was set to commence. We were instructed what each piece of our equipment was used for, and got to work. We were to paint wine being poured into a glass, with a multi contrasting background.
The instructor was patient and friendly. The staff was very helpful. I was getting my paint on. Not on me, but rather I was actually doing a somewhat decent job. I had several hiccups along the way and attempted very hard to correct my mistakes. I got through it, while forgoing the bubbles that we were suppose to fit in. I got through it and had some nice libations along the way. Sans that Corona that got in there.
The compliment of the night was when my fiend, a Unilocal photographer, Mel told me «I’m surprised you were able to do that even.» Not glowing reviews, but hey, I’ll take it. Plus with mom’s bday coming up this week, it makes for a nice throw in. Who else would be willing to hang this thing besides my mother.
Thank you to the wonderful people of Pinot’s Pallet, Artichoke Pizza, and Hofbrau, you all supplied a wonderful evening. Thanks to Peter D who despite his attempt to ruin my night by not giving me a raffle ticket, could not stop me from winning. Not sure what, but my mom told me I was a winner when I presented her with the painting.

What a great night!
It was my first time at Pinot’s Palette but not my first group painting class. The bare walls in my apartment are quickly starting to fill up with my own artwork.
This event was probably one of my favorites. A great opportunity to mingle with your neighbor while expressing your artistic side.
The eats provided by Artichoke Pizza were absolutely delicious. It was my first time experiencing that and it surely won’t be my last. The libations were especially delicious too!
What a great way to spend my birthday. And now I don’t have to buy my mother a Christmas present. She’s getting «First Pour»!

Beer, pizza, and pretzels all two days before Thanksgiving? Peter and the gang at Pinot’s Palette just about put us into a carbo coma that night, but we didn’t care one bit! I really love these outside the box Elite events where we 1) Get to know about a new business and 2) Get to do something different that we might never otherwise have tried.
Elites, I think we did Bob Ross proud that night. Thanks to the patient instructions of our evening’s art teacher even the least artistically inclined among us was able to create something that passed for a painting. Some of us painted cabernets, some pinto noirs, and some came up with something that looked more like motor oil, but damn it we all painted our little hearts out. This was the perfect event to get to chat with your fellow Elites (love me some Jess P!). No rush for snacks, no long lines at the bar, just good time good fun good vibes!

I knew I wasn’t much of an artist but the experience was great. I could sorta make the image that looked like the original, but the staff was super helpful on getting me atleast «close» to it. The pizza was amazing, the beer complimented it pretty well and the pretzel sticks yummy!
I miss going to events in NYC, they are always so much fun! Peter is a super awesome organizer! Thanks so much!

This was my second event as an Elite. I was lucky that Peter, the Unilocal Organizer, let me in since I was a standby.
I had an amazing time. The highlight was that I was able to interact with other Elites for the first time.
The staff members at Pinot Palette were amazing. One of them assisted me in replenishing my supply of white paint. Another member, behind the bar, replenished me with juice boxes. :)
Overall, I rate this night as a success. Moreover, I hope to attend more of these events.

This was a fantastic first Unilocal Elite event and first visit to Pinot’s Palette for me. It’s conveniently located in Park Slope on 5^th avenue. The space consists of a long room with two huge tables on each side, and the paint instructor works at the rear. Behind the paint space is the bar and restrooms.
The instructor Julia was friendly and provided easy to grasp tips to ensure your masterpiece turned out similar to the model (if you wanted it to, of course). They also had two additional teachers who circulated to provide assistance as needed. The management or owners also seemed to be present and were friendly and helpful throughout. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff definitely encouraged me to return with friends.
You have your own set up with the needed paints, brushes, water cup, canvas, etc. The instructor walks you through each step of your art work and is available to assist however you would like. The workspace is a little squished but that’s not unusual for these sort of venues. They also have cubbies which is nice to keep all of your belongings away from the paint.
I’ve been to a number of painting places like this, and the one amenity that I found to be unique was the television screens that were placed throughout the space and showed you exactly what the instructor was doing. That meant that no matter where you sat, you had a perfect view of what the instructor was doing.
The food and drinks were top notch! Artichoke pizza (margarita and spinach/​artichoke) was absolutely delicious and the beer and pretzels (with your choice of dipping sauce — mustard, Nutella, etc) was a tasty combination.
I definitely plan to return to Pinot’s Palette with friends and trying my hand at a different art piece! Thank you to Peter, Pinot’s Palette, Artichoke Pizza, and Bierhaus for making this night happen!

I do not have a single artistic bone in me.
If it wasn’t for Unilocal Elite, Peter, Pinot’s Palette and its sponsors, I wouldn’t have this opportunity to drink and paint inside this artistic gem.
This is in the heart of Park Slope and it opened a little over a month ago.
There was pizza, pretzels and wine. I tasted the artichoke pizza and the Bavarian pretzel. Very strong flavor for our taste buds to open our creative minds for painting.
Julia, the artist and host, was so patience and gave throughout directions step-​by-​step so you wouldn’t feel lost.
I won’t lie, there were times that I looked at my painting and asked myself, «WTH did I paint?»
Luckily there were t. v screens on the side of the room catered to us novice painters who were not lucky enough to sit near Julia to watch her painting and are confused with how to make their painting as perfect or similar as Julia’s work.
There were some lucky winners who got wine and some got gift certificates. Pinot’s so nice!
My final «masterpiece» came out better nice.
This place is great for people who wanna hang out, relax and paint freely.

Pizza, painting, beer, pretzels, spicy mustard, nutella… yes yes yes to all of these things! I have always wanted to try a painting party but due to my terrible artistic skills (my four year old students draw better than me #truestory), I was very apprehensive about doing so and didn’t want to spend my money on a disheartening experience. I was so wrong! One of Pinot’s Palette’s wonderful staff, I believe his name was Mike (sorry if I am mistaken) told me that most people feel the same way and are impressed with the work they end up with. He was right when he stated that the skilled artists who take us through the step by step process for the painting would assist us in creating a unique piece that would be very similar to the painting, in this case «The First Pour»!
We were able to have some delicious slices from Artichoke Pizza and beer from Hofbrau Bierhaus NYC. The slices available were the margarita pizza with marinara & basil leaves and the artichoke which had a cheese sauce that delightfully dripped with each bite. The flavor and handmade dough are so perfectly combined and perhaps the reason why this pizza is as famous as it is. My sister (who was my plus 1) and I had the HB Lager and HB Hefe Weizen. We fell in love with the Hefe Weizen. I had initially thought that there was some pear element to the taste but after reviewing the description from their menu saw that it is a «Rich, fairly sweet Old-​Style wheat beer with a wonderful combination of banana and clove flavors». No wonder I loved this beer, BANANA & CLOVES are two of my favorites!
We loved our artist Julia, who took us through the step by step process. We thought it was cute and fun to name the different sized brushes and it was interesting to note that the names all started with a B– Big Momma, Bobby, Bumpkin. We enjoyed drinking and listening to the good jams that played as we worked (I was dancing and singing in my seat the entire time) and were both impressed with the end product. My sister won a gift card to Pinot’s Palette which perfectly went with her upcoming birthday! She is excited to return for another experience and I will also be returning SOON. We even talked about having a girls night at Pinot’s Palette, especially with this cold weather approaching, this is such an entertaining indoors activity. Thank you to Peter, Pinot’s Palette lovely staff, Artichoke Pizza, and Bierhaus NYC for making this such a wonderful evening!

After watching the Bob Ross marathon on Twitch a few weeks back, I have been itching to get back into the swing of painting, but was ultimately lazy and uninspired to go dig up my painting supplies — and then this Unilocal event appeared! I came for the painting, and my hubby came for the pizza and beer! Everyone is happy!
Julie was a great painting advisor throughout the night, and her step by step guidance made my hubby’s first painting experience less scary and a lot of fun. The environment of Pinot’s Palette was brightly lit, and adequate spacing between work stations was perfect. But, what was really perfect? That artichoke pizza from Artichoke Basille. I have never experienced such a rich, meatless-​ly delicious slice! I would drive all the way here for a slice, and then get drunk on painting.
Pete and the rest of the Brooklyn team did an effortless job in putting this together! What an enjoyable, fun, creativity time!

Had such an amazing time at my first elite event! Thanks Peter D, the wonderful people at pinots palette, artichoke pizza, and the German beerhouse! What a wonderful way to start off the holiday weekend, great vibes, fun times and beer and pizza!!! What more could I ask for. I am coming back to pinots palette this Sunday to paint some more! Hope to be at the next event!

Unilocal Elite events make me a better person!
I have not been the avid Unilocaler lately with my busier schedule, but I am glad I made the cut for Pinot’s Palette!
I heart Unilocal and their events and this Elite event was up there with the greats!
We were lucky enough to be able to check out Pinot’s Palette within their first couple months open and they are great! Great studio and staff who were super helpful and friendly. Painted samples on the wall and a step by step for painting along with our instructor for the night via eyeballs on Julia and on the monitors on the walls.
Not only that, Artichoke Basille’s Pizza and Bar provided the yummy artichoke and cheese pizza which were delicious and super filling!
Hafbrau Beirhaus also provided the yummy thick Bavarian Pretzels with Nutella and mustard dips as well as their beer! Non-​alcoholic drinks like Coke, Sprite and Diet Coke were also provided for the drivers like me :)
The setting was perfect for a night of painting, pizza and drinks with a friend and a whole bunch of Unilocal friends! Pinot’s Palette was even generous enough to have 4 winners of prizes this evening — 2 wine bottles and 2 certificates to return for a paint night! I was not so lucky to win a prize, but was still super lucky to come here tonight!
It was a great event! Thanks so much to Pinot’s Palette, Artichoke Basille’s Pizza and Bar, and Habrau Beirhaus for all the goodies and the great time! I would definitely recommend this place for a night out! :)

This was my first Unilocal Elite event and I am thrilled that I was able to make it — great beer with yummy pretzels (Thank you Hofbrau Beirhaus); amazingly delicious artichoke pizza (Thank you Artichoke Basille’s Pizza); and most importantly — awesome time tapping into my inner artist — I wasn’t aware existed lol — with the help of super friendly and helpful staff of Pinot’s Palette.
Can’t wait to go back!

My first elite event. What can I say? I am looking forward to future events! Thank you for setting up such an awesome event.
I brought my sister along with me and we had an amazing time. It was our first time painting! We were looking forward to the painting more than the food and beer but nonetheless, the supply was great. Who’s going to complain? It was an awesome and fun experience.
The people are so upbeat and nice. They made sure that we felt welcomed and comfortable, especially Scott.
This was truly a great break from work and school.

I have been to a LOT of Unilocal events. Do I think I have no artistic tendencies? You’re damn right.
That being said, this was the best event I’ve been to, bar none.
There’s something special about two hours of activity, led by someone who knows what they’re doing. Something especially great about delicious, delicious pizza from Artichoke Pizza and good German beer! And something truly amazing, for me, about a finished painting that doesn’t look like it was done by a drunk, blind person fresh off a bender.
My only gripe is that this thing was discriminatory to lefties! It was kind of a pain to reach across my canvas and grab brushes. Oh well, I’ll live.
I would totally go back. In fact, I’m planning on it! Truly had a blast and want to thank everyone at Pinot’s Palette for being the incredible hosts that they were. Hey, even the encouragement for those who were completely clueless (that’s me!) was totally welcome.

How I love Pinots Palette!!!
This event was so much fun! I usually do this at the end of my review but I want to first and foremost thank the kind staff at Pinots Palette they were amazing.
This place is the definition of adult fun. Getting down and dirty into some paint and being unapologetic, I loved it! As we arrived we got to eat some of my favorite pizza in NYC from artichoke pizza. We then got to snag some beer and pretzels from Beerhause! Whether you are naturally artistic or not is okay. The instructor will guide you step by step as to how to design your painting. Everyone paints the same painting but in the end each painting will have its own unique touch! A huge plus for me was the music. While you are painting they play some really good music to enjoy while your sippin’ booz and painting! We were able to indulge in some good beers from Beerhause but typical they serve wine. This is a great place for any special occasion I highly recommend!!!
