I am so sad to see they have been taken over by another Chinese/Asian catch-all restaurant. This was my favorite authentic Japanese restaurant in Parker :(

We have been going here since we moved to Parker a year and a half ago. Since then this place has changed names/owners at least twice. After the first change the quality went down quite noticeably, but so did the price, so we considered this our cheap take the kids Sushi spot. It just recently changed again and is now called Mr Buddha. The quality is now awful and the prices are higher than they have ever been. They have also expanded the menu to include a large selection of Chinese dishes. We haven’t tried the Chinese food yet, but we will never order sushi here again. So sad, we really wish we had a quality Sushi spot in Parker.

I enjoy looking at Unilocal to find a new place to try or somewhere different to eat. This restaurant had 4STARS! I’m not sure why!!! It was awful. Expensive and not worth it!!! I am all for paying money for good food but I felt this meal should have been complementary. If you enjoy good sushi do NOT go here!!! Fish wasn’t cold. Service was bad. Wish I would have left when I walked in smelt the bad odor. The menu was poor quality most items I wanted were only served at dinner. This restaurant offers all you can eat for $ 27.99 I only wanted a few rolls that I selected. The sashimi was so small looks like a small anchovy! The total came to almost $ 60! I was in such shock!

I have been coming here on and off for years I’ve always found them to be fast friendly good sushi and I just found out they deliver! Huge bonus in my book!

My wife and I will give kimono 4 stars for the food, but definitely not for the service. The time we went in there was no one else in the restaurant and the older lady serving acting as though it was an imposition for us to be in her restaurant. We got the food fairly quickly and everything tasted very good, it was just the service that neither of us were happy with.

After the relatively recent management change this place improved considerably quality and variety. The sushi is excellent.

The food is delicious. However I’m disappointed that they no longer have kimchi. I know they are now a japanese restaurant, but before new management came in I really enjoyed the bulgogi with kimchi. 4 stars for excellent food. One star off for not offering a dish I love anymore.

We wanted Sushi badly and drove by this little spot one of the off times I’m in Parker for dinner. We were greeted and seated immediately. And the server came around and brought hot tea that I ordered. The KGB roll was flavorful but could of been a little bigger and packed with more fish and less rice. The Dragon roll was the highlight of the meal in my eyes. And no I’m not getting married but ordered the Honeymoon Roll. ANDWOW is all I can say. When my tea was getting low they brought more water and then another bag so it didn’t get weak. I will be back time and time again.

We went to Kimono a few times before the new owners took over. It was the coupon for 20% off that brought us back. The coupon was collected right away. The food was good. But when the bill came, the host told us we had purchased the«dinner specials» which were not honored by the coupon, so we did not get the 20% off. I looked at their website site for the similar coupon the host told us about. That coupon said nothing about dinner specials, but it did mention lunch specials and happy hour drinks. When we came home and found the coupon for their other restaurant, it only mentioned that lunch specials happy hour drinks were excluded from the 20% off. Dinner specials were not mentioned. Again, the food was good. But staff was obviously a bit clueless about good customer service.

We have been coming her for years and although it recently has new owners they have been great! We miss the old owners but the fish is fresher! I don’t mind paying a little more for better quality fish.

Changed ownership. The fish was fresh but the wait staff was below average and the prices were dramatically raised

I too was surprised to see the change of ownership. Was a bit leery at first but we ended up ordering the usual 6 or so rolls at lunch time. Tuna Roll, SalmonCali, Dragon Roll, Red Snapper, Yellowtail, Shrimp Tempura roll and Salmon roll. Actually all were good and tasted fresh and almost looked the same as the previous chef made. We like less rice and more other stuff and these looked almost like those of the past. This new owner/chef also owns Joy Sushi across from Sams Club in Lone Tree. I found all this out by talking to the waiter who came back to us several times asking if things were okay and if they were different than before and so on. I also saw him ask other people if things were okay. We really liked the previous owners and knew most of their names but we will be back here and give these new owners a chance. The waiter said they are using the old menu but will be making changes to it and also the lunch specials. Our lunch tab was the same price as we always paid as far as we know.

Sadly won’t be going back again. We have considered this place to be our hidden gem in Parker and typically go once a month. We always have found it to have very good and friendly service with good sushi at a reasonable price. We went back tonight to discover they changed ownership 2 weeks ago and we were extremely disappointed. Here’s why: #1: the friendly, family owned atmosphere is gone. Our server was rude and inattentive. I shouldn’t really have to ask 3 times for water when there are only 3 occupied tables in the place. He even argued with me when I had to ask for a new spoon because the handle of mine had bleach all over it that hadn’t been properly rinsed off. #2: prices have increased. They now charge for your bowl of miso soup before your sushi. Seriously people, talk about cutting corners. Also, we have never spent more than $ 50 here before for 2 of us(like I said, it WAS a hidden gem!) Same order as usual tonight, but tonight the total was $ 80. Yes, that would be a normal sushi dinner for 2 price anywhere in Denver, but this is a sushi joint in Parker. Not worth it. Looks like we will be searching for a local sushi place to frequent, because our Kimono days are over. I suggest you drive down the street to Junz or into Denver and skip this place.

Sushi is fresh, nice décor, friendly staff. BUT… The music is too loud. The last two times I was there, I could barely hear myself think. It was one Adele song after another. Really? I complained at both visits, but it took a while for the waiter to finally turn the volume down just a bit. Unfortunately, when I go back to Kimono and the music is too loud, I won’t dine there again.

I came here on a whim for lunch one day and I wanted so badly to love this place but it just fell short on so many levels. It’s not that anything was super bad, just mediocre and blasé’. On the other hand the prices are so low at lunch that you have to consider the value. So the Pros: Clean place, decent atmosphere, waitress was friendly, prices are very low at lunch. The Cons: The portions are tiny, the rice is not very well cooked, the fish itself is mediocre and the old man who seated me was borderline rude(no eye contact, no hello, no nothing) and the location is dreary(dying strip mall, no maintenance in years on property…). So it’s not a recommended sushi place from my point of view, but if you’re in for a value lunch(3 rolls for $ 10) then you’ll be happy.

one of my favorites in Parker CO… the first time we went i got the Bulgogi while the family ate sushi… I wondered if they had any Kimchi in the back(not on the menu) so i asked and they happly gave me some home made kimchi that was out of this world. We go at least once every other week!

This is our Favorite sushi restaurant– great service and great food! Take the waitress’ recommendations! First time here she suggested two rolls, neither of which we would have picked on our own, and they were awesome. The sunshine roll has now become a treat I look forward to all week long. Had some Unagi that was the most succulent I’ve ever had last time in, that’s going on my standard order from now on. Do yourself a favor, stop in and don’t just order the specials, while they are high-quality and great-value, the specialty rolls are pure goodness made by a true artist!

You know what totally blows? When you have a good meal and you actually say more than once«this place is good!» and then you get your bill and on the way home you say more than once«It was ok… just not worth the money» LAME! The food was good. The monkey brains were strange but yummy and made out of everything I love. The rolls were yummy and creative. The inside doesn’t compare to places like Hapa and Mikuni but for a strip mall next to Big Lots it’s pretty nice! The staff were nice and service was good. The rolls weren’t Junz quality but they were still better than most strip mall sushi spots. But man oh man did the joy end when I got my bill. We eat a lot of sushi. I wont pretend our bill isn’t ALWAYS high but comparatively we spent more here than we would at Junz for a little less sushi than we would have gotten at Junz. As far as I am concerned if the rolls are higher quality and larger at one place over another I don’t see a reason to go to the lesser unless their is a good price cut. In this case I don’t see a reason to come back unless Junz down the street is on fire.

Kimono has a killer lunch deal. I’ve been a few times but only for the lunch special. The sushi is decent, not as good as Junz or as bad as Yutaka in town. I haven’t been in a few months so I don’t remember the particulars but unless you’re a very very discriminating sushi connoisseur, you should be happy with their quality and service.
