Great place doing great things for people that need the help that they offer. Day to day ownership is good and the nonprofit board of advisors is top notch folks. My family has volunteered here for at least 10 years. The animals are very well cared for. It is a great place for people-lovers and horse-lovers both to volunteer.

Praying Hands Ranch is an amazing non-profit group, I am so glad to have found this ranch for my daughter. The instructors are great and make it so much fun for her. I was very nervous when she started therapeutic riding but the instructors and volunteers have made me feel 100% comfortable and it is obvious that safety is their top priority. The horses seem happy and well taken care of and my little one looks forward to her ride very week. I had to chime in after reading the two negative reviews below(from people who have never used their services)! I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed by their experience here.

I dropped by to see if there was any possibility to volunteer in exchange for renting a pasture for a pair of my horses. The lady refused. I told her I would still be interested in volunteering, but the lady seemed more interested in getting me off the property. I’ve seen several other more welcoming therapy places and would recommend any of those over here, unless you feel like being pushed off the property. Edit: I guess they want to send their people in saying feeling unwelcome is «a reflection on me… They’re always looking for volunteers.» Funny, the woman there told me «our insurance won’t allow it» when I said I was interested… Perhaps it was because I didn’t look Christian…
