As a frequent participant in the Saturday night Shindig DJ Trivia adventure at Old Chicago, I’m constantly impressed with the quality of the trivia questions, the electricity generated in the air by Shannon Lea, and her professional hosting of seamless trivia contests.
One couple, a regular team that I’ve seen almost every Saturday, confided in me that, with two small kids in the house, they have very little time for each other. «This is our date night,» the husband said while the wife nodded, smiling. «This is the only night we get to spend with each other as people, not as parents, and Shannon makes it all worthwhile.»
With foot-​tapping music while the teams ponder the questions and argue about the right answers, Shannon never fails to deliver an upbeat, fast-​paced experience. Demonstrating that special quality that only the best hosts have, she deftly leads the various teams through the two-​hour trivia contest with clever quips, a friendly smile and a G-​rated atmosphere. She’s gracious, intelligent and extremely polite.
Do I recommend Shindig DJ Trivia and the indomitable Shannon Lea? I do! And you should too. Check them out and tell them Lou sent ya!
