On any given day in Jersey, I am always just a 3 minute drive away from a Smashburger. I like most things on the menu here, fried pickles, smash (Rosemary truffle) fries, Jersey burger, Chipotle bun burger, Avocado club, even the milkshakes. And while I do feel that Smash cannot hold a candle to a similar place like ShakeShack, they make an awesome burger that’s big enough to fill me up and is always tasty. I love taking a choice from the menu, like the «New Jersey», and adding my own twist on it like a change of cheese, or the addition of bacon or haystack onions. Also surprisingly, salads are pretty good here.

Came here during a busy lunch rush and still got great service from Holly who was friendly, patient and helpful. She was able to answer our questions, give some suggestions and honor our coupons, all which add up to a wonderful lunch experience. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Love the veggie frites, they satisfy the fried food craving and as a bonus you’re adding to your veggie intake quota. =) Also had the sweet potato fries which were good, they are shoestring size, sweet and completes the burger and fries meal.

It’s fine. It was quick, friendly, etc.
I think it’s pricey for what you get. You can go to a real burger place and get more for your money. That’s my only real complaint. I don’t think it’s much quicker than Fuddruckers (I’ll admit my weakness for Fudds though), though it’s cleaner/​less hassle maybe. but I’d rather spend the money on real food.

The burgers were good.
The smash fries were better than expected.
However my haystack onion container was only half full.
And the smash sauce had a pungent tart flavor that i did not much care for.
Overall a nice experience. Would definitely try again!!!
Oh, and Amy was very courteous and helpful taking my order over the phone. Good job!

I’m getting to be a real Smashburger fan. I love the Smash fries and the unique flavor packed burgers. I really like that they make your food fresh when you order it. There is a difference.
Today, I tried this new-​to-​me shop and was greeted by Steve. He was friendly and, since I wanted both an eat in burger and a take out chicken, he was very accommodating too.
The freshly made burger and fries arrived at my table quickly and just when I finished eating, Steve walked by and handed me my take out order. Sweet!
Steve also recommended a new Windy City burger on a pretzel bun. It sounded great and I’ll be back to try it.
Clean shop. Lots of parking and a friendly staff.
I’ll be back.

Really fantastic burgers! I know everyone flips out about Five Guys, but I’d take a Smashburger over Five Guys any day. The ingredients are incredibly fresh. I usually get a Classic Smash but last time I tried the BBQ & bacon one– omg SO yummy. And the smash fries are totally addicting.

Went here for the first time today! It was delicious! I got the California burger (I think that’s what it was called) but omg was it tasty!!! The avocado and lettuce was so fresh and the patty was good enough to eat on its own! I can’t wait to go back!

Nice place good food they just need to do something about the greasy hair kid serving food and also preparing it behind the counter, his long greasy hair flip flopping in my food turns my stomach. They got do some about that before they destroy a good place!

Amazingly clean place. Quick service by the staff. Simple menu. My first time here but I’ve tasted a smash burger before and it very good in a south Jersey location. So I am going to see if this location can get me back.
Well. The big smash bacon cheese burger with spicy fries was delicious
So they held up to the smash hype. Burger was very good. Thought it be bigger since it was a big smash. But I will be back. Very nice staff, food and clean establishment.

Been here twice now since I work relatively close.
1. Have tried the original and the chipotle burger. Both were very good.
2. Their fries are well seasoned and their onion strips are very good.
3. Restaurant is clean.
4. Service was very friendly and attentive. We were asked many times if we needed anything else.
That’s all I need for a fast-​food burger joint for me to come back.

Normally I absolutely love Smashburger. However, this location is not very friendly, professional, or even vegetarian friendly. The staff was unapologetic when they informed me they were out of black bean burgers. When I asked what else was vegetarian, the host responded with «the chicken burger that’s it.» That is not vegetarian… A chicken is an animal! they apparently were also out of salad. I got fries. The fries were either reheated or under cooked. They were served half luke warm, half cold to frozen. Very very disappointing.

My overall impression of the Smashburger chain is it’s a good alternative to Five Guys. Their selection of burgers is pretty good and the fries have more flavor than Five Guys fries. If Smashburger started having bags of peanuts too then for sure, I’d go there every time. My only real issue was prices at Smashburger tend to send a single meal over $ 10, which is a bit much for a burger-​type meal.

The milkshake and fries were great. They use real ice cream for the shakes — not that thickener crap MCD’s uses.
The burger, in my opinion, wasn’t great. don’t see why this chain has such a hardcore following. It’s smashed so thin it falls apart, and the seasoning is thicker then the burger. So you get chunks of seasoning. It’s really just 80%bread. 10%lettuce/tom/mayo/ketchup. 5% seasoning. 5%burger.
I wasn’t crazy over the burger, but it just wasn’t my kind of thing. Again, I will be back for the shakes and fries.

Did you know that Smashburger holds the honor of attaining 200 franchise stores faster than any other company ever? Did you know all buns are sourced from a bakery in Colorado? Did you also know that all regions have unique signature burgers?
You didnt?!
What you probably knew is that a blue cheese and apple wood smoked bacon burger on an onion bun is awesome. If you didn’t know that either… well go to Smashburger…
I’ve been to 2 Smashburgers, the service was iffy at the first one, but the product was consistent both times. That’s really the point. They’re good at what they do, steps above the McDonald’s/burger kings.
I don’t care much for their chicken sandwiches or the veggie burger, but the beef burgers in all varieties are great.
I would totally recommend it to people

Went to a Unilocal event here and got the privilege of tasting most of the menu items.
Everything was delicious and well made. The mushroom truffle burger was amazing, the sauce on their classic burger was awesome. The black bean burger had a very spicy bun that I really enjoyed.
I definitely respect Smashburger for putting so much effort into their event and food and will be back to enjoy the burgers again. It changed my perspective of Smashburger as a fast food location to a quality sit down burger restaurant.
I also would have never ordered a shake, but after trying their Haagen Dazs mint shake… I was thoroughly impressed… give it a try!
