I have used Trident Bubblegum for several years. Yesterday I purchased my once a week pack and noticed that the wrapper had changed. This happened before with another brand of gum, but unfortunately the ingredients also had changed. That is why I tried Trident for the first time and have stayed with it ever since. This«new» wrapper Trident Bubblegum also seemed to have a different taste. It seems less sweet and leaves a chemical after taste. With the previous experience, I decided to check the ingredients on the new wrapper Trident Bubblegum. I noticed that mannitol is missing. Since this is a sugar based chemical, this explains the less sweet taste. I will be looking for another brand that still includes this ingredient. Cadbury Adams should have left well enough alone.

What happened to Trident Sugarless White Cool Colada? I’m on my last pack(out of a 12 pack that I ordered from Amazon last year!). Cannot find it anywhere online. This is the only gum I really like — it’s not too sweet and it doesn’t have syrup inside it which I find rather disgusting.

Chiclets: Fruit flavored and Mint. For the past… gee, I can’t remember… many many years I’ve enjoyed Chicklets more than any other chewing gum. And just recently I’ve discovred, to my utter horror, that they’ve begun using the same rubbery chewing ingredient as all the other gum companies. I had stopped chewing just about any other gum because of the rapid flavor loss and tough rubbery texture that quickly causes jaw soreness. Looks like I can write Chiclets off too. Bummer. It was so good.

I remember Cadbury as in the Cadbury Easter Eggs that I used to eat when I was little. I didn’t have much interaction with Cadbury since then, at least to my knowledge. That is until I recently bought some Stride gum. To tell you the truth I was not completely impressed with their Mega Mystery gum but it was more than made up for when I tried their Flavor changing Stride that goes from Citrus to Mint. Most tasty indeed!

There are a number of candies, chocolates and chewing gums that Cadbury Adams offers that I am in love with. What prompted me to look them up was my surprise at finding a pack of Clove chewing gum at a gas station(recently) in western rural Illinois. I’ve read information that these old time favorites are made every so many years in small batches and distributed worldwide in short sale. Clove, Beeman’s and Blackjack; a small quantity has been made and distributed starting in May 2009. I regret not buying more packs of Clove gum or at least picking up a Blackjack or Beeman’s gum. I have an open pack with three sticks left which I am savoring by only having half a stick when I really need it. LoL. I love the smell of the Clove, I don’t smoke so no chance of Djarum for me. Cadbury chocolates are another favorite of mine, can’t decide which recipe I like best. I think it’s different or at least different sugars are used for different countries due to peoples tastes. British, American or that sold in India. Now I’m craving more Clove gum and Cadbury chocolates. Cadbury a great brand.

As I anxiously open my stick of cherry Halls, anticipating a nostalgic flood of memories from flavors past, I wonder to myself: Why did I eat so many cough drops when I was a kid?
