I’ve been here twice now, both times around 7:30 so I can’t saying anything for how busy it gets for lunch time but it’s pretty quiet during dinner time except for the occasional takeout order. This place is a hidden gem. I am a fan of Colombian food and when I heard a place down the street from me sold it, I needed to give it a try, and I’m so glad that I did. Will always be my choice from a quick Colombian feast, because the plates are huge. Definitely would give it more stars if I could.

Picked up take-out food from here about 2 years ago. I remember enjoying it, I was glad I stopped here. I’ll have to stop back in and write a fresher review.

Excellent traditional food. Fresh and authentic. Not your Americanized Tex-mex by any means. They have plenty of plantains and a selection of Central American sodas. Unique and wonderful experience if you’re into trying new foods. You’ll definitely want to come back. EDIT: And I did come back, and it was just as good as last time. I forget the name of what I ordered, but it’s the plate with a little bit of everything, and everything on it was great, from the sausage to the steak to the beans. You get a tremendous amount of food for your money, so even if the prices are up in the $ 15-$ 20 range per person, it’s two meals easily for the average eater. I need to find more excuses to come back. EDIT2: Found another Colombian place in Morristown, and as good as Rincon is, this place is even better — and cheaper. So I have to dock a star in comparison.

Ordered breaded steak torta and it was terrible. Sandwich consisted mostly of lettuce with a slice of meat that was small and mostly bread. Would not recommend considering they charge $ 8 for a measly sandwich.

Portions are generous and the lady taking care of the place at that moment was nice. But the food is just ok, nothing special considering that I’m from South America and was expecting more flavor to the food.

Went there fore breakfast, ordered their traditional breakfast of steak, eggs, arepas, with an apple juice and an extra egg. The extra egg was $ 2.50 and the main breakfast entrée was $ 9. As they could not put the steak on at the same time as the arepa, I switched the arepa for beans. What I received was a very thin piece of dried overcooked meat that was salty, very salty beans and scrambled eggs that were very watery due to the salsa they used on them. Spent over $ 15 for a breakfast that was bad to mediocre. It is a whole in the wall that you could just pass driving by, and I recommend that you do. There are better latin/colombian food options and or breakfast spots not too far from this place.

I am not Colombian. Although I have lived in South America, it was nowhere near Colombia. I do live near Miami if that means anything to you. That being said, this is the best Colombian restaurant I have been to. The food was great and I felt like I had transported to South America when I walked in. Their churrasco a le parrilla is delicious. The price is very reasonable as well. I am definitely going there again.

I wish there were an infinity star because the food from this little hidden gem in Parsippany is Out Of This World. Words can’t describe… the flavors just work so well together. The Guacamole is to DIE For… Nothing overpowers the other. The flavors just dance on your tongue. You will never believe such delicious food can come out of such a humble simple little place. This is Definitely my new Spanish Hot Spot in NJ… I AMHAPPY!!!

Low cost tasty Colombian and Mexican dishes in a simple but pleasant and clean environment. Menu has more Colombian items, as the owners are I was told by the server Colombians. The Bandeja Paisa platter hit the spot(meat and more meat!), served with a quite tasty homemade hot sauce. I have made a couple of tripd to Colombia, all seemed authentic here. TV tuned to Spanish channel, i was comfortable hanging out for quite awhile, chill place. they have their own parking out front. various desserts available.

I had breakfast, otdered the calentado paisa(steak, eggs, arepa, and rice mixed with beans) for less than $ 10. The food was delicious, they have a really tasty chimichurry sauce for the steak and also a really good hot sauce. The place is clean and well spaced. The people are very friendly her as well.

My husband and I went here after finding it on Unilocal because it was close. What a nice find! We were certainly the only«gringos» there and we didn’t have a clue what we were ordering. We had intended to eat there but there are only two tiny tables with a total seating capacity of 4 in the whole place, so we got our order to go. No problem. Since we were clueless, we just told the waitress that we just wanted the same thing as the man before us. She laughed and then proceeded to give us large samples of several things. She didn’t want us to pay for something we didn’t like. We liked it all! All told we had a lovely experience there and a great meal when we got home. We will definitely go again. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the limited seating, but if you know that in advance it would deserve 5 stars.

Came here a few times(more like twice) so here it goes if you like food from central and south america its a winner now with that said. There are some tips first most the staff first language is not english its spanish so with that said expect your order to be taken slow now that doesn’t mean they wont do it right just will take a min. second the place its dark it smells like fried food and there is a huge tv that only shows spanish channels. Third the food it self like I said if you like central and southern american food you will have no complaints if you are on the fence this is not for you they make the food very well but the flavors are bold or spicy so if this isn’t your cup of tea go else where. With that said the prices are fare the staff is friendly and the seating is ok

Good portions and prices. Owners are very friendly. Extensive menu with very authentic Colombian, Mexican, Central American options. My meat was tasty but a bit over-cooked. My main complaint is cleanliness/sanitation. Condiments, milk coming out of the refrigerator was warmer than I would have preferred(salsa tasted spoiled) and the dining room could be cleaner/better maintained.

Came here for a quick lunch. I knew it was authentic from the get go. No fancy tables or décor. Just good food. Tried the Bandeja Paisa and was pleasantly surprised to see it had a slice of chicharron! Big portions, too.

It was a Friday night and I was low on food, but wanted to wait until early Saturday to run to the grocery store, so I walked over to El Rincon Colombiano. Nice service. I didn’t feel abandoned, but nor did I feel smothered. I ended up getting the carne desmechada, which was more than enough for two meals as it comes with several(delicious) sides. I also got some flan. Overall, it was a nice meal and I plan on returning some other evening when I don’t feel like cooking.:) Though they have Colombian food, you can also get the typical fare you’d expect at a Mexican restaurant in the U.S.(enchiladas, tacos, etc.). I can’t vouch for how their Mexican dishes are, but again, enjoyed the carne desmechada I ordered.

You expect a lot when your Colombian and you go to a place that sells colombian food… El Rincon Colombiano lives up to all my expectations! Amazing good, great service and a friendly/family atmosphere, just like a casa colombiana!
