Hoof Prints Trail Riding Center

I have ridden at Hoof Prints twice with Sandy, once with a friend and once alone. I am an experienced rider but enjoy going on trail rides when I vacation in order to see the local scenery from horseback. Sandy did a good job of catering the ride to my level. The trails here are fantastic. All of the horses are appropriate for the job and well cared for. They are also used for therapeutic riding in addition to doing trail rides. I will be returning on future trips to the area.

I’ve never ridden a horse before in my life and Sandy (the owner) made it so easy, comfortable, and fun for me. She is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. All the horses are therapeutic and they are all so gorgeous and sweet. They all have their own stories and Sandy will be sure to let you know that. If you sign up for a trail ride, this is the best it’s going to get. She makes the whole shebang interactive and informative and you get to learn how to actually ride a horse, and not just ride a horse. We were taught how to greet, groom, saddle, mount the horses. And you also get to wash them afterwards! It’s like a fun car wash except instead of cars, you’re washing horses. Not to mention, the trails are phenomenal. The forest scenery is so breathtaking and picturesque, I had to take a few moments to take it all in. Everything about the experience was amazing and the people are so helpful, especially Sonya who watched over me as I was a little scared. This facility is wonderful, though it’s a little off the maps, it’s very quaint. Thank you so much to Sandy and everyone else there for my memorable experience, I will surely come back in a heartbeat.
