This review is long overdue, but I came in the shop looking for a replacement stone to one of my favorite navel curves purchased at Prix, where I had my piercing done. The removable top had unscrewed somehow (maybe while sleeping?) and Prix did not have in stock what I wanted at the time.
Not only did Anomaly help me out with ordering a replacement stone for my navel curve, but they also custom ordered me a 3/​16″, solid white gold curve with 3/​32″ ball ends for my rook piercing, originally performed by EdD Herrera at Prix (who also did my navel as well as numerous cartilage piercings of mine). I had expressed concerns to Richard and Brett that although my rook piercing was well-​placed and performed by a reputable piercer, the style of jewelry I was currently wearing was a tad bulky-​looking on my super tiny ears, even though my go-​to-​piercer EdD had already helped me downsize to ¼″ from the 5/​16″ I was pierced with. I asked the piercers at Anomaly if there were options for going even smaller in jewelry size and they told me they gave me options, one of which included trying smaller ball ends (the ball adds extra length to the curve they said). I am in love with the piece they ordered for my rook and how perfectly it compliments my tiny anatomy. Richard ended up being the one who installed it and was super nice and friendly.
If I didn’t have such a strong rapport with EdD (been going to him for years) or wasn’t worried about offending him by taking business elsewhere, I’d totally feel comfortable getting pierced by Richard or Brett! They’re both really nice guys!

I have been wanting to get my nipples pierced for a long time and finally felt ready to go ahead with it. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism at Anomaly Studios. All of my questions were answered immediately and kindly. I felt very good about having Brett do my piercing because of the reviews here and the way his website dedicates a large amount of information about the philosophy of piercing and the history of humanity’s deep involvement with it. The piercing itself, the commitment to healing, and the process of moving towards getting the procedure has been revelatory about my life. Just like tattoos, piercings can be seen as purely aesthetic, or deeply personal statements that connect us to our mortality. I highly recommend visiting Anomaly for their deep regard to the process and the safety and quality of their services.

I made an appointment and came in today to get the side of my nose pierced. Brett was so nice and helped me fully understand the process and how to take proper care of the piercing. He answered all my questions (even the weird ones) and was very professional about it. He’s also good at breaking the ice and calming down someone before the piercing is done. This shop is a very clean and easy to miss place. I would’ve driven past it if my gps hadn’t have told me where it was. I parked on the street for free. I felt almost no pain while getting it done because Brett taught me some breathing techniques before hand. They have a deal where if you buy one piercing and pay for Brett to pierce you can get one or two more piercings for the price of the jewelry. (I hope I explained that correctly.) Getting my nose pierced ended up costing about 100. Well worth it though because they do check up on you 4 weeks after your piercing is done. Quality is key when you’re getting modified and I would recommend anyone who’s a germaphobe to come here. Also the customer service is just amazing. Not a lot of people here in LA have the manners and patience these guys do. Big thumbs up. I’m super happy with my end result!
Tip: don’t wear white clothes when you’re getting piercings or tattoos done.

I came in today to get my dermal anchors removed since it was time for a change. Brett was super informative and took his time to make sure the removal process went well. To be honest, I almost fell asleep when he was removing my anchors lol. He kept asking if I was ok and I felt fine and no pain at all. I do plan on coming back to get my other piercings done.
