Apramian Carpets

Shopped around a lot for carpet looking at several places in the Pasadena and a very popular reviewed place in Eagle Rock as well as in Rancho Cucamonga (that’s where I work and thought I might be able to get an even better deal there). In the end, no one I came across beat the selection and price that John at Aparmian carpets was able to quote me at. John is an extremely honest guy and will EASILY beat out any price you find (well, for me at least heh). For this one carpet I ended up getting, he quoted me several hundred dollars cheaper than the next best price. Their selection is MASSIVE. If you’re not too picky about what type of carpet you want or want a custom cut carpet, definitely ask about remnant inventory — they have a warehouse full of carpet that you can get even cheaper and the quality will range from cheap commercial carpet to 100% New Zealand wool carpet.

«John,» who I believe is the owner, is a great guy. He runs the place like an old world shop, «You tell me how much you want to pay» he says. He really does know a lot about the market and good carpets, though. Once you have a good feeling for your range and what you want, he can usually find you the best possible deal. I’ve been going back to him since something around 2000 and he’s still consistently got the best products at the best prices.
His installer Randy works solo, which is insane because it is back-​breaking work, but he works really hard and does an excellent job.
These guys also do custom edge-​binding so you can have any carpet turned into a custom area rug.
