Bay Area Tree Care

Owner came out for estimate. We went around the property with me showing him everything that I wanted to be done. He took notes. I hired him after negotiating a bit which included him deep fertilizing a holly tree.
On job day, he sent two guys that hardly spoke English. They had no notes on what I wanted done so I agIn had to tell them, with a language problem. They did a reasonably good job. However, that was in early Fall last year. I paid in full (big mistake). My Holly tree has never been fertilized.

Very good, fast, professional. The crew that came here were very nice. 5 stars! Reasonable rate and did a great job. Would do business with again, and would highly recommend. Also they took the time to relocate the birds nests out of the tree they cut down to another tree. Another plus in my book.

Needed some tree work done in my back yard. Bay Area Tree Care wasn’t the lowest bidder (almost, but not quite), but I hired them based on their reputation and ratings on Home Advisor. They didn’t disappoint. Prompt, effecient, and very friendly from start to finish. I recommend you give them a shot if you’re in need of tree work.

We called Bay Area Tree Care right after the big storm just before Independence Day (2012). We had a walnut tree with two large branches that had fallen over into our neighbor’s yard. When we called, we were told someone would come out to look at the job. My husband actually talked to the owner, who was the person that came out and looked at the damage. We were NOT told that since the call was made after a storm the price for the work would be DOUBLED. That’s right… doubled. We tried calling several times to find out when they would be out, so we would be home to talk to the workers and get an estimate on the work. We gave them our cell numbers as well as our land line and asked to be called. Due to having no power, we decided to leave the house to grab lunch. We were gone about an hour. In that time, the workers came and went and slapped us with an $ 1,800.00 bill.
Lesson learned. I will never agree to work being done without me being home. And I think it was lousy that this company doubled its cost during a time like this and didn’t disclose it to us.
Consider them OFF our referral list.
